*Sequel to Once in a Blue Moon*
*Ch 20 Quote*
It was the happiest Christmas of my life.
Third time reading your R/T fics, and I have a confession to make. The scene with Andrew and Tonks is so touching it always makes me cry.
Author's Response: Aw, man, now I'm thinking about it and getting misty eyed. Thank you!
Queen, the Pixies, and Flogging Molly definitely mesh. I have album by all three!
Author's Response: I like your taste in music! Sorry about not replying earlier. I've definitely read (and enjoyed) your reviews. ^_^
That was actually Slim Whitman that made the Martians all go BOOM!
Author's Response: Really? I'll have to look that up. Sad to say, I didn't buy the movie when I saw it in a $5 bin. :D
Love that you used Tina's most famous dress!
Author's Response: Thanks! That is one awesome dress.
Love the elfin flu!
Author's Response: Ta, thanks! If there's dragon pox, why not elfin flu?
I love that you made Sirius a punk-rocker, it just FITS!
Author's Response: Sirius was rebellious and angry at authority figures. He rode an enchanted motorbike. He had to have loved punk rock. Like you said, it just fits!
Today is a day of firsts, Remus thought, watching Nymphadora step carefully into the circle of standing stones...He smiled at the woman he loved while his heart leapt at the thought of the most important ‘first’ yet to come.
ABOUT TIME!!!
Author's Response: Yes, it is. :)
Tonks' world has fallen into shadow. Voldemort has returned, the Order of the Phoenix has risen, and Sirius is slowly drowning in memories and Firewhisky. Tonks needs more than determination to fight the darkness. She needs Remus.
Dueling morphs! I love it!
Author's Response: Dueling morphs is cooler than dueling banjos, heh.
Nice work mixing Hoodoo into the story.
Author's Response: Thanks! Once magic is real, all kinds are fair play. :)
The Clash's Train in Vain is IMHO the greatest country song ever written. Thanks for including it.
Author's Response: I've said it before, but I heart your taste in music. It was my pleasure to include it. Music says a lot about people. :)
Always nice to see Basil!
Author's Response: I agree. :)
I thought it an excellent segue. Many authors get too caught up in creating a creepy mood, with lots of foreshadowing. Senseless violence should always strike without warning!
Author's Response: When you're braced for something to happen, it doesn't have the same visceral shock to it. I agree (again!).
My affinity to the journal compels me to keep it at hand. I, too, am rather shabby, and yet there are pages of my life still unwritten.... Remus reflects on his life and love for Tonks in a companion fic to Moonlight and Shadow that parallels chapter nine onward.
"Sid Vicious doesn't wear trainers." Great quote! I can just see a 17 year old Sirius in boots, ragged jeans, and a Sex Pistols t-shirt. It's all the easier because of the movie Sid & Nancy, of course (If you've never seen Sid & Nancy, GO OUT AND RENT IT!)
Author's Response: I've seen Sid & Nancy. That Gary Oldman played Sid and then Sirius Black made it even better. ;)
Giant spiders, malevolent bats, wizard scouts...werewolves. Tonks finds life in Hogsmeade far from simple, while Remus discovers having a partner in touch with her inner wolf complicates his mission and his heart.
The Wizards Handshake is a brilliant bit of business.
Author's Response: Thank you! I thought there had to be something binding, yet less lethal, than the Unbreakable Vow. :D
After rereading this whole series I have to say that I think the whole thing is marvelously well written. The plotting is top-notch, the characterization is deep and well thought out, and the additions (spells, devices, potions, etc) to the Potterverse are ingenious. WELL DONE!
Author's Response: You have a gift of encouraging writers. I'm going to have to look at your page to see if I can return the favor. Thanks so much for reading the stories. I hope you have the happiest holiday--you deserve to be at the top of the "Nice" list. ^_^
Didn't like it, loved it. I have now read your entire output here on mugglenet, some of it twice, and I'd like to ask you to please give us another chapter of 'Aurors & Schoolgirls' which is my favorite of your unfinished work.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review.
The next chapter of A&S is in the queue. The next “Strangers” is being reedited and the next “Moons” rewritten.-N-
TOM RIDDLE – THE SELF-STYLED LORD VOLDEMORT
Editors Note: At the request of the Ministry for Magic this Official Statement issued by the Office of the Minister is produced full and unedited.
OFFICIAL MINISTRY STATEMENT
This official statement has been compiled with the assistance and co-operation of Mr Harry Potter.
“Lord Voldemort†was, in fact a man named Tom M. Riddle, son of a witch, Merope Gaunt and a Muggle, Tom Riddle Senior. The Ministry has decided that in all future official publications Riddle will be referred to by his given name.
There has already been much speculation and wild rumour regarding the events at Hogwarts School. The Ministry can confirm that Tom M. Riddle was killed at dawn on the morning of Saturday, 2 May. Riddle was disarmed by Harry Potter while in the act of firing a killing curse at Mr Potter. The curse killed Riddle rather than its intended target.

WHERE IS HARRY POTTER?
Despite the Official Ministry Statement (published above) we are no closer to receiving an answer to the question on the lips of every witch and wizard in the country. Where is Harry Potter?
It appears that Mr Potter left Hogwarts School early yesterday morning, apparently in the company of his close associates Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley. An attractive young Ministry clerk, who did not wish to be named, told The Prophet “He’s at the Ministry, having an important meeting with the Minister. My friends and I saw him. He asked us out to the pub, but we had to turn him down.†This statement is at odds with a report from the Portkey Office that Mr Potter has fled the country, travelling to Australia with his companions.

The days after the battle were days of grief and mourning. Grave Days. This is SUCH a good story. It neatly ties up all the loose threads from the series in a logical and touching way. I really like Fenella Gray, she is a rich and complex character and I cannot for the life of me understand why she wasn't even nominated for the best OC QSQ.
Author's Response: Thank you.
The second sentence of your review is exactly what I was trying to achieve. I'm glad you think I succeeded.Fenella was a bit player in a couple of chapters. I think she'd need a bigger part to be nominated, but thanks for the thought. She will continue to appear in my other stories.

I don't usually read anything off-canon, but this was brilliant! I wish everyone could have a mum like Molly.
Author's Response: Well, I rarely write anything off-canon, so I know what you mean. ;) Glad you gave it a chance--thanks for taking the time to leave a review!
Just re-read this AGAIN, and realized that I haven't left a review yet. This is my favorite one-shot you have done. The characterization of Arthur is different to those I have seen in most other fan-fic where they portray Arthur as a slightly daft old duffer. I certainly wouldn't want to play poker against YOUR Arthur!
M.M.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review.
Arthur: husband of Molly; father of the twins; member of the Order of the Phoenix, trusted by Dunbledore. Any one of those shows that he's more than a daft old duffer, in my opinion.-N-
Sunshine spilled down onto the small grassy spot through a window in the tall trees. She stood a couple of yards back, staring at eleven letters cut into rock. It was beautiful, and yet, to Hermione’s eyes, nowhere near a worthy enough tribute for a life so full of rambunctious joy.
The stuff you wrote about grief was as good and to the point as anything I've ever read on the subject.
Author's Response: Thanks you. I have a little experience with grief--glad it's proving good for something. ;) Thanks for the review!
