So, where do I even begin?

Well, I'm 16, I live in England and I'm obsessed with many different things, of which Harry Potter is probably the main one. As you may have guessed.

I was a reader and writer here for about four years and a moderator for just over two and half years. And I am ever so slightly insane.

My Stories

If you're looking for my higher quality writing, it's advisable that you stick to stories uploaded in or after 2007. There's not much I like about my earlier writing, but it's still up here because I did put quite a lot of time and effort into it. Love Conquers Everything has been discontinued.

Moongate Beckons When The Canvas Sleeps by gossipweaver

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary:

When illusions overlap with reality, when fairy tales become too real... Unfortunately for Oliver, not all fairy tales have a happy ending...

What can be more cruel… purposely arranging two people from two different worlds, to cross paths, meet, fall in love, only to part ways…

Great new chapter, very descriptive again. I like the wat that Prudence injected a little bit of cheer into Oliver's life...poor guy, he's so alone and heartbroken. I hope we'll begin to see something of his search for Yuriko soon! 10/10.

Author's Response: The following chapters will reveal the difficulties to his mission through the novel Yuriko left behind. I wrote this story along the line of fantasy, played by victims of love. Enjoy the story.

WOW. That was an amazing end to the chapter. But, first things first.

I loved the interaction at the beginning between Ginny and the rest - Zoe's reaction seemed wonderfully in character and appropriate. I liked Dumbledore acting as a mediator and calming the situation - it seems like a natural thing for him to do!

The Winter/Summer contrast was excellent and made way for some beautiful imagery when we joined Oliver. The interspersed memories and flashbacks really conveyed the feeling of utter loss and almost madness that Oliver had been driven to.

The final part was so fantastically tense and well-written; I think I stopped blinking for a moment while I read! Then, I reached the final sentence and was amazed by the poetic beauty of the entire chapter, as well as the heart-stopping realisation that came in the last words.

I can't wait to read the last chapter!

Such a heart-wrenching chapter. The descriptions were absolutely beautiful, and the way you handled the meeting was incredible. The entire chapter had a strange, detatched magical feel, and it made the situation all the more saddening.

We saw things from Yuriko's point of view for the first time, and that was a powerful technique to use. The difficult emotions in the last section gave me such empathy for Yuriko that everything was that much ore upsetting: it was as if I was was giving up that huge part of my life too.

The end left me speechless. Fabulous job. There's one more chapter, right?

Very deep and emotional chapter - an intriguing look into her life. Beautifully written, as usual, with impact and feeling. As a reader I can't help but feel extremely sorry for her as you portray her empty life so well. Fantastic, please keep writing.

Author's Response: She is the face we only notice when we are feeling depressed and helpless, and I wanted to write about that. She is to Oliver a temporary drug, but thankfully she pulls away before letting him spiral down further. Thanks for reading.

Another beautiful, emotional chapter. I really enjoyed the little exchange between Ginny and Oliver - it was refreshing and also a good way to get an indication of Oliver's feelings(particularly those he doesn't want to admit he has). I really loved all the vivid description of the snow in this chapter, but my favourite line was:

In a sea of white ashes, as witnesses were the barren tree planted next to them, and the gentle snowflakes, no longer abandoned, documenting everything like leaflets of information, that landed on their sobbing skin, slowly melting to water.

That was an amazing piece of imagery. And now I can't wait for the next chapter, because I can tell the climax is coming - he's finally going to find Yuriko! Keep writing - it's so fantastic.

Author's Response: Thank you so much. The exchange was added as you described - to portray Oliver\'s feelings and denials. The snow metaphors and nature witnesses are a bit depressing. I wondered now who those nature witnesses are for. I\'m glad you liked it. The climax is definitely coming. The next chapter Thundersnow will be ready soon. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Excellent new installment, though it makes me really sad. I liked the way you put little memories about the rain and umbrellas in - they fitted very well. I have a sense of foreboding about this new nameless girl though, I'm not sure quite why yet...10/10. Keep writing!

Author's Response: Don't worry. She is one of those passerby who comes and goes, someone we only notice when we are feeling our worst. I don't like writing about bad people, so Oliver is safe. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Brilliant chapter! Interesting, making him go to see Dumbledore. This story has developed such a deep, meaningful undercurrent that works beautifully with the plot. I'm really pleased that Ginny is back too! Can't wait until next chapter! Fantastic writing.

Author's Response: Thanks. The next chapters that lead to the climax will take place in the castle. I guess I use these stories to communicate my views and messages. I miss writing Ginny so I have to bring her back. Enjoy the story.

I just discovered this new story of yours, and I am really pleased you decided to do a spin-off that tells us about Oliver. Excellent first chapter - 10/10.

Author's Response: Thanks. This story is a sad one, similar to My Guardian Angel, sort of a fantasy, drama, and emotional angst theme, with a bittersweet ending. I hope you'll like it.

Beuatifully written chapter. Oh, I feel so sorry for poor Oliver. I look forward to the next chapter, particularly finding out the significance of the umbrella...10/10.

Author's Response: The umbrella will be useful in the ending, that's all I can say. But recall how Yuriko was portrayed to love the rain in The Boy Next Door? There's a reason for it. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Very well written as usual, but I am completely torn! I can't work out whether I want Prudence and Oliver to get together or stay apart...you just manipulate my mind so beautifully. Brilliant chapter.

Author's Response: I guess it\'s one of the mysteries of love, to toy people in a game of numbers. How can one man possess two hearts, but three people is not a couple make. Sigh... Some familiar faces will return next chapter. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Fabulous new chapter - you've left me desperate for more! The way you incorporated their story into a fairy tale was brilliant, although I wish Oliver hadn't given his Amoré away. I think that'll prove a mistake later on...I can't wait for the next chapter! 10/10.

Author's Response: Thanks for liking it. This plot has been brewing since chapter 2 of The Boy Next Door. There's a reason for Oliver to give the Amoré away. Don't worry. There are no bad people in this story. Enjoy the next chapters.

Oh my...wow, that was amazing. I can't believe how it ends though! Please tell me that's not what will happen to Oliver and Yuriko! I think I'll have to cry if it does. Very emotional and powerful. Excellent chapter. Keep writing!

Author's Response: Hi rita. I hope you got my email. Thank you for taking the time to leave me your kind words for \"My Guardian Angel.\" For some reason the respond to reviews button does not appear all the time for me. Anyway, just like you said, I think I\'ll cry too if that happens to Oliver and Yuriko. There are a handful of chapters left so we\'ll see what happens. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

A very well told story, I really enjoyed reading it. I'm surprised you haven't got more reviews! I like your style of writing and the end paragraph was very saddening. Well done! 10/10

I really loved this story! You write Lily extremely well. An original storyline and a lovely romantic air. Well done! 10/10

Author's Response: Thank you =) There wasn't a huge plotline, after all it was planned for my other fic, but I agree with the air thing. Hehe thanks.

A fantastic read! You've captured Sirius thoughts and emotions so brilliantly, and finished it in a dramatic way too. This was also a very brave writing style (the present tense) which worked extraordinarily well. I particularly liked the comparoisons between his life and the lives of his fellow Marauders. Excellent. 10/10

Where No One Else Will Go by Faile

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Though Christmas is usually a time of love and laughter, this is not so for everyone. Painful memories can be associated with Christmas just as easily as any other day of the year, and they can be just as hard to deal with. Sometimes, healing comes in surprising, snow-covered packages.

A really different and enjoyable story. I liked the way you did it post-Voldemort but pre-Hogwarts - a time we know very little about. I was very impressed with your style of writing. Well done!

Author's Response: Thank you! That's a good thing to hear, especially for a contest submission. ^_^

Addicted by ice witch

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Hermione is addicted to Draco. He is all she thinks about, all she lives for. She knows she must escape his control but is she in too deep? Based on the song Addicted by Kelly Clarkson.

Very good story! I enjoyed the parallels between the song and your fic. You conveyed Hermione's thoughts very well; I liked the way you expressed her confused emotions. The only criticism I have that it is a litte bit repetitive. You have some excellent points, but sometimes you reinforce them too many times. However, having said that, I did really enjoy your fic. Well done!

Shelter from the Storm by joanna

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: This was my submission to the Winter Snow Challenge. Ginny is waiting in St. Mungo's, for Harry, Ron and Charlie are in hospital after the Final Battle with Voldemort. She feels guilty and beyond redemption. Can her brother, Percy change this? Would she be redeemed, would he? Warnings: Character deaths (nothing graphic)

Fantastic little one-shot, full of feeling. I liked the pairing, and your style of writing. Good luck!

Author's Response: Thanks, rita. It was so hard to write this, that I actually wanted to give up, but the idea wouldn't want to go away. ;-) Your review makes it worth.

Wow, a really brilliant poem with so much description! I love Harry/Ginny so this definitely worked for me. The imagery in it was beautiful and you arrange words so well...it was fabulous.
