Harry Potter stories written by fans!

I'm 21 years old, born and raised in Michigan, USA. Harry Potter's been in my life ever since I was 8. I accidentally started by reading Prisoner of Azkaban first. Whoops. My dad corrected me before I got too far, though.

I'm a fourth year English major, and I love fanfiction because it sharpens my writing skills, and of course, because I love Harry! I started doing it in the summer of 2011. I wrote my fanfictions in this order:

The First Howl
A Werewolf at Hogwarts
From Opposite Sides / Ways To Say Goodbye
Merry-Go-Round

My top five characters are Lupin, Hermione, Neville, Luna, and those hilarious Weasley twins. I can relate to Lupin and Luna the most, which is why I honored them in my pen name.

My favorite couple by far is Remus & Tonks, although Tonks' parents (Ted and Andromeda) have really grown on me, since I wrote their story. And I may or may not think that Hermione would've been better with Harry... Favorite couple that never happened? Neville and Luna!

You'll notice pretty quickly that the music I love inspires me in every way, whether it's chapter names or a sample of lyrics that go perfectly with the story. I'm also really inspired by the books I read, but If you ask me what they are, prepare for a long list :) It includes the Hunger Games trilogy and a load of books by Scott Westerfeld.

Thank you so much for letting me share my writing on here! Reviews are much appreciated.

Happily Ever After Beyond the Black Holes by phoenix_song197

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Charred black holes are all that's left of those who defied the Black family. Never seen or heard from again, they are considered dead to this world. But could it be that they live a life fuller than any who remained? Could there truly be happily ever afters beyond those black holes? And will Andromeda Black be brave to find out?

I love Andromeda because she stood up for what she believed in, and you gave us a look into her mind. I love it so far :) Keep it up!

Do You Know Me? by Ascendio

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary:
The villagers of Little Devinton found Remus Lupin a very mysterious man indeed.

Reviewer: LoonyLupin Signed
Date: 01/24/12 Title: Chapter 1: Little Devinton

As you can tell by my pen name, I love Lupin! And it's great that you wrote a story from the point of view of his neighbors. It reminded me of the very first chapter of Harry Potter, where we met Uncle Vernon and he's suddenly introduced to wizards. If I didn't know that Lupin was a wizard and a werewolf, I would be very curious... Awesome job!!!

Author's Response: Thank you! Haha if I didn't know Lupin was a wizard and a werewolf I would be very curious too, and rather jealous of Tonks. . . Thanks for reading and reviewing!

The Right Decision by Gmariam

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: A question. An answer. Hermione reconsiders her relationship with Draco Malfoy.
Reviewer: LoonyLupin Signed
Date: 12/22/11 Title: Chapter 1: Dinner

It's kind of hilarious that J.K. Rowling herself admitted that Draco had a crush on Hermione :) This is exactly how they would behave, of course! Great story.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Where did she admit that?? That's awesome! I'm glad you found them somewhat realistic here. Thanks again for the review, I really appreciate it! ~Gina :)

Queen by armagod679

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: They called her the queen of Hogwarts. But queens lose their crowns so easily.
Reviewer: LoonyLupin Signed
Date: 01/01/12 Title: Chapter 1: The Queen of Hogwarts

Most people wouldn't think of making a story about Moaning Myrtle, and especially not Olive Hornby. But I love the way you wrote it. Guess the queen kinda got what she deserved, didn't she? Nice job!

Author's Response: Thank you.

Violets by armagod679

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Quirinus Quirrel is obsessed with flowers, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and the girl with the violet-blue eyes.
Reviewer: LoonyLupin Signed
Date: 12/27/11 Title: Chapter 1: The Girl with the Violet-Blue Eyes

It's nice that you made a love story for Quirrell, and I thought it was great. He seemed like a sweet boy who turned over to the dark side for her. I can't believe that Violet used him like that. Just goes to show that, whatever way you look at it, love can be a crazy thing.

Author's Response: Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Awake My Soul by Ascendio

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:
Your best friend was back, and really back this time.

Remus reflects on Sirius being back home.
Reviewer: LoonyLupin Signed
Date: 12/30/11 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

You wrote such a great look into Remus' mind. As you can tell by my pen name, I love him! He and Sirius have a wonderful friendship, and you really showed that. Nice writing!!!

Author's Response: Thank you! Remus is definitely a favorite of mine as well. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Black and White by Eleanor Lupin

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: For Narcissa Malfoy, things have always been black and white. Her life plotted out with no room for change. But as she kneels next to the not-so-dead body of Harry Potter, she has to choose between what is right and what is easy.
And its not as easy a choice as it used to be.

Reviewer: LoonyLupin Signed
Date: 12/30/11 Title: Chapter 1: Courage Shines

I knew she'd have to go through a conflict just like Draco, and she really changed the course of the story. You gave us a great look into her decision. Wonderful job!

Author's Response: Thank you! Her character is funny that way, because she kind of was the catalyst for them winning the war, and yet she gets almost no credit whatsoever. It really would have been quite simple for You-Know-Who to just kill Harry again and be done with it, but by lying she gave Harry another chance and effectively won the war for the other side. Thanks for the review!

All That's Left by iLuna17

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Then I saw Mum and Dad’s faces. It was the first time I had ever seen our father cry. And just like that, my already shattered heart split again. You broke our father, Al. Even Voldemort couldn’t do that. Dad looked like someone had stabbed him in the stomach, then twisted the knife for good measure. He and mum, they raised you, raised you to be strong, and you let them down. You failed them. You were a coward. A coward who broke our father.

Reviewer: LoonyLupin Signed
Date: 12/22/11 Title: Chapter 1: All That's Left

It was wonderful! I never dreamed that could happen to young Albus. And that twist at the end... whoa.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review. I'm glad that you liked it, but some of the real credit goes to my beta, Alex, or Deathlex, or welshdevondragon. She turned my very bad first draft into this. I really love the twist at the end as well, and am semi-seriously contemplating a companion piece. I may. . . I may not. It depends on how this goes. Thank you so much.

DRACO'S LAMENT by Morgan Phelps

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Severus Snape has just done the unthinkable and murdered Albus Dumbledore, perhaps the greatest wizard to ever conjure a spell, seemingly without hesitation or, for that matter, the least bit of remorse. Now on the run, Snape and his protégé, Draco Malfoy, exit the grounds of Hogwarts and disapparate. Until now, it was a mystery as to where they went immediately after disapparating. Read the story if you wish to know more.
Reviewer: LoonyLupin Signed
Date: 12/30/11 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

It's a great look into what happened after Dumbledore was killed. I feel terrible for Draco because really, he's just been a victim of circumstance from the day he was born. And Snape's story makes him one of the best characters I've ever seen. Nice job!

You wrote this really well. I wonder how Jacqueline and Dumbledore will get along! And maybe you've heard of it, but if you like Flamel, you should read "The Immortal Secrets of Nicholas Flamel" series by Michael Scott. Keep up the great writing :)

Author's Response: Thank you

Someone Like You by Alice Mac

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited

But I couldn't stay away - I couldn't fight it

I hoped you'd see my face and that you be reminded

That for me, it isn't over yet

Neville Longbottom is newly married; finally has a job that he's passionate about and, against all the odds, is finally happy.

He hasn't thought about her for months now. But then she comes back to remind him that he was happy once before - a long, long time ago.

I was really sad that J.K.R. didn't put them together! But you gave us a great glimpse into what that would've been like. And of course, that song is already timeless. It was a good choice to use it :)

Swish and Flick by hallows_vs_horcruxes

Summary: My version of Ron proposing to Hermione. Enjoy!

That was a wonderful way for Ron to propose. And it was only fitting that Harry watched the whole thing. The humor in it was great, too :)

The Dark Son's Lament by Envy_I_May_Be

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A poem about Draco's feelings about becoming a Death Eater; set during HBP.
Reviewer: LoonyLupin Signed
Date: 01/13/12 Title: Chapter 1: The Dark Son's Lament

It's too bad that most people don't read the poetry on here. I always thought Draco was a complex character because he never really seemed to agree with what he was doing, but he had to go along with it to save himself. You summed that up very well, and I love all the imagery :)

Author's Response: Thank you! I just thought that Draco needed a little light shed on him. You're right- he's a very complex character- and I kind of wanted to bring out that conflict within him. Because, despite the fact that he's a Death Eater, he's sixteen, and he's scared, as anyone in his place would be. I don't think he always gets enough credit for surviving that ordeal with Voldemort, and I wanted to give it to him

Inevitable Variable of Fate by vivalavita

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Ginny knew why she had been summoned before the words were ever spoken. This day, the day she would come to think of often in her many years, was an inevitable variable of fate. At least, that’s what he had told her.
Reviewer: LoonyLupin Signed

Ginny and Draco are a really unlikely pair, but I guess it's not impossible. You told the story nicely. I always thought Draco couldn't avoid being punished...

Droobles Blowing Gum by Padfoot11333

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary:

Alice Longbottom has lost so much, but a Christmas day that she strives to remember may be the worst.

All that Alice can remember is that it was her son’s first Christmas.

Nominated for a 2012 Quicksilver Quill.

This is Padfoot11333 of Hufflepuff writing for the Great Hall-iday Challenge-Prompt 1: A Christmas to Forget.

Since it was the only story in its category, it couldn't win first place, but it did win 5 bonus points for excellence, which I am very proud of =)

Reviewer: LoonyLupin Signed
Date: 12/29/11 Title: Chapter 1: Droobles Blowing Gum

Most people wouldn't think of writing a story about the Longbottoms. You wrote it so well! It's amazing and bittersweet that she can still somehow recall that one memory. I can't even imagine what this would be like to go through.

Author's Response: Thank you for the review! I thought this story was done getting reviews but one more still makes my day =) There are plenty of stories about the Longbottoms, though. I can't name one off the top of my head but I'm sure if you went foraging around then you would find a few. And yes, I do agree that I would not want to have the same experience as Alice >.> That would be terrible. Lily xxx

Crimson and Clover by Envy_I_May_Be

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Vivian Moore (OC) is a vampire. After being bitten at the tender age of sixteen, she had to leave Hogwarts to get used to her new body and her new way of life. But when she comes back to complete her sixth year, things are different. With the war against Voldemort on the horizon, times are tough. But Vivian won't let it get her down; she just wants to get through with school and get out. But when she meets Harry Potter, and becomes wrapped up in him, the game is changed. How far is she willing to go to for the one she loves?
Reviewer: LoonyLupin Signed
Date: 12/22/11 Title: Chapter 1: Going Back to Hogwarts

It's off to a great start. There have been werewolves at Hogwarts, but a vampire? That's going be interesting. I wonder what Harry will think of her :)

Reviewer: LoonyLupin Signed
Date: 12/29/11 Title: Chapter 2: Crossing Paths

I didn't realize that she would get kind of the same treatment that Lupin did (his only friends were the Marauders), but I'm glad she found Harry, Ron and Hermione. I can see why you paired her with Harry now. He could actually be very good for her!

Author's Response: I'm really glad you're enjoying the story; it means a lot to me. And as for how she's treated, it only seemed right to me; a vampire in the school? The way I see it is that it would generally freak people out. And as for her relationship with Harry... things are bout to get complicated. ;D

I Hope He Will Understand by The Last Marauder

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Over the course of eight chapters, this story will capture fragments of Teddy Lupin’s early life, where Harry tells him about his parents and tries to help him understand who they were and why they died.

Final chapter is up!!!
Reviewer: LoonyLupin Signed
Date: 12/22/11 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 - Death is a Scar

I always that Harry and Teddy would get along famously. That was a really moving story. Great job!

Author's Response: Thank you, I am so glad you liked it. I hope chapter two will be up soon, I submitted it AGES ago.... so keep an eye out! :)

Reviewer: LoonyLupin Signed
Date: 01/03/12 Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3 - The Smile

I've been trying not to cry through the story. But aww! I'm so glad that Teddy and Andromeda are starting to feel better. Harry, too. This is probably something like what J.K. Rowling would've wrote if she continued writing the story after the war :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much! Don't worry, I will get sort of happier. There will a few bumps along the way, but ultimately it will get much happier! I am so glad you think it is like something JK Rowling would have written if she continued the story, that's probably the best compliment, I've ever gotten! Thanks so much!!! Chapter 4 has been submitted, so hopefully it will be approved in a week or so! Thanks again for reviewing :)

The only constants in his life are his loneliness and his crush on Christian Ackerman, the Ravenclaw stud. Dropping by again :) I loved the story so far. I think Christian's hiding something... I just want things to get better for Ariel! He's actually pretty nice.

Author's Response: Hi! I'm really glad you're enjoying the story! Christian may or may not be hiding something and things will get better for Ariel... eventually! Thank you so much for the review.
