Well, I suppose that since I have my first few stories up on the boards, it would be good to create a bio. I am a crazy thirteen-year-old girl with a weird family, weird friends, and EXTREMELY weird imagination. I have been in love with the Harry Potter series for a bit more than two years now (I discovered it the day after Christmas when I was ten years old, about to turn eleven).

My first story on these archives is called Fighting For the Cause. It's about two completely different characters who have the typical Gryffindor-Slytherin hate-and-look-down-on-each-other sort of relationship until the Death Eaters take over Hogwarts. But you'll have to read it to find out more!

The Hungarian Horntail, my first poem, is about...well, you tell me. ;)

Mother Dearest is about Hannah Abbott and her mother. It was a big challenge for me, but hopefully it paid off....

My most recent story is Where They Can't Follow. I am especially proud of this one, and I'm trying extra hard to write it! It's my first Next-Gen story (focusing on Lily Luna Potter) and is a far cry from my original headcanon after reading the Epilogue, but I think that I like it better this way.

Anyways, I am working on a BUNCH of stories just for fun right now that I might post later on. Some of the featured characters include Voldemort, Narcissa Malfoy, and Teddy Lupin...although they aren't in the same story, but rather three different ones! I'll keep you posted about when I'm ready to submit them.

Well, enough of my blabbering! Why don't you go on ahead and scroll down to check out my published works?

Summary: Albus and Lily Potter, Rose Weasley, Scorpius Malfoy, and Thomas and Alaina Longbottom spend most of their time at Hogwarts together. Okay, Scorpius is now my favorite. He seems the most real of all of the characters, and reminds me a little bit of a few of my friends! ^_^

Author's Response: yeah? i love writing him, because I feel like he's got a lot of family issues with a dad like Draco, and I feel like he'd be kind of sultry a lot of the time. Thanks for reviewing!! <3

Of Babbling and Balls by Acacia Carter

Aww! It was very sweet of Ginny to still give Colin a kiss. I thought that you portrayed Colin very well.

Fragments by BrokenPromise

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:

She was the first to accept me for who I was, Muggle father and all. The teachers didn’t count. Dumbledore accepted me out of duty; Slughorn accepted me for his own personal gain. She accepted me out of love.

Would you have been any different if you had had your world ripped apart and your heart shattered until there was nothing left to love with?

This is a story about a boy and a decision that he regretted. A decision he had made a few times before. Tom Riddle made the decision to say so many times those words that would eventually be his downfall.

I found this very interesting and I felt sorry for Tom. This is the second story that I have read about Voldemort being in love as a teenager and having his heartbroken. I enjoy stories like this because they give the reader a bit of insight that they could have never thought of without the help of others.

Author's Response: I felt sorry for him too, and as it's pretty clear he couldn't love as an adult with a mutilated soul, i felt that he should definitely have his share before then. There is a massive shortage of Tom Riddle stories so I think readers really need the insight. History is always written from the winner's point of view, so I think that he can't have been completely bad, just portrayed that way. He was human once, after all. Thanks for the review!

Molly and her Daughter by Northumbrian

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A story about Ginny's school days, and the relationship between a mother and her daughter.
Reviewer: PeppermintToads Signed
Date: 04/01/12 Title: Chapter 1: Ron Writes

I found the way that Ron describes his future wife extremely amusing. "We can't ever escape from her. Ever!" I also really liked how Molly perceived that the Dursleys mistreated Harry from her experience as a mother. Overall I think that it was very good and I am waiting eagerly for more.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review.
This, of course, takes place before the troll incident, so Ron has no idea that one day he won't want to escape from her. The next chapter will be set ten months after this one. but I have several other stories to write first.

Askew by Equinox Chick

Summary: Some people's lives are always ordered, but some people's lives are always askew.

A poem about a Potterverse character written for the Sharp Challenge.
Reviewer: PeppermintToads Signed
Date: 07/16/12 Title: Chapter 1: Askew

This was so well-written! I loved the last stanza. It was so bright and hopeful that I smiled really widely. I love how he was still askew, though

Author's Response: Thank you! Harry's always going to have a part inside him that will challenge authority - even when he is the authority - and he has a quirky side so I think he'd stay slightly askew as well. :) Carole

Date: 05/20/12 Title: Chapter 1: If He Had Known - Haikus

You've given me such lovely reviews that I thought I'd give one in return! I was a little bit skittish about this story, since in the books I fould the whole Albus/Gellert thing rather heartbreaking. But you did such a great job on this that it was both sad and brilliant. Keep up the good work!
~Julie

Author's Response: Thanks for the lovely review. As you could probably tell from the intro, I was going to write a sonnet. Now, many weeks later, I think that haikus were probably just as effective. I'm really glad you liked this. BrokenPromise

Sweet by Equinox Chick

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Susan Bones is always getting mixed up with her best friend, Hannah Abbott. She doesn't know why because not only do they look very different, but their tastes are different, too - even down to the flavours of their lip balm. For sunny, popular Hannah loves to try new things, and Susan stays with the same lip balm she's always known.

But perhaps she should try something new.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling.

This story has been written for Lea (mugglegirlmarauder) on the occasion of her birthday. Although she is a Gryffindor here, Pottermore begs to differ and has wisely put her in Hufflepuff.

Thank also to Natalie (hestiajones) for the pairing and the lip balm. I'm not sure the story quite does your inspiration justice :(.

Date: 04/12/12 Title: Chapter 1: Lip Balm and Bon-Bons

Oddly enough, it was the lip balm thing that I could relate to the most. I don't wear lipstick or lipgloss or anything like that; just good old lipbalm, sometimes chapstick.

I also could relate with sticking to "one flavor." I have this weird thing about green tea lip balm. Once my mom convinced me to get cherry instead because it was cheaper...and I hated it! So I can see why Susan was worried about making "the wrong decision."

In the end of this story, Susan and Anthony are talking about how Susan and Mandy can be compared to the lip balm that they wear. But in truth, I think that it should be Anthony who is being compared to this. Susan is worried about making the wrong decision if she tries anything new, and I think that this might be a connection to that.

Author's Response: I only like mint lip-balm or chapstick - ha. Yes, you're right, there is a connection to Anthony preferring Susan - perhaps he needs to be with someone less flighty and steadier. Perhaps they are both boring - although I don;t think they are; they just appear boring to other people. Susan isn't actually that sweet, she just appreciates sweetness in others (like Hannah). Thank you very much for reviewing. ~Carole~

Magic Beyond The Seams by christyvourcos

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: This is a poem I wrote originally to describe my experience at Universal's Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park in Orlando, Florida during Infinitus 2010. Through my creative writing course in college (for my English major), I received some comments about it and made the poem towards my experience of the series & the fandom. As soon as I registered for Alohomora, I noticed there was a section for submissions and my first thought was to share this poem.

'i' before 'e' by Equinox Chick

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Feature
Summary: Ms A Cadwallader wishes to improve herself and apply for a better job. Unfortunately, despite her impeccable qualifications, she is thwarted by a certain Junior Under Secretary for the Minister of Magic, who has let it be known that basic spelling errors can never be over looked.

This story, written in the style of a series of letters, first appeared in The Battle of the Genres over at the SBBC forum.

I am not JK Rowling. She would probably have been more amusing.

This story is for Minna because it was her birthday and she likes this pairing.

Thank you Natalie for liking the drabble and encouraging me to expand.

Right after the first letter signed 'P Weasley' I put two and two together and figured out who Audrey was, but it did not ruin the story at all. As always, great job! It has been my pleasure to leave you a 'reveiw'.

Author's Response: Yay, really pleased you liked the story. I had a lot of fun writing it. ~Carole~

The Question by Alice Mac

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary:

A voice said, Look me in the stars,

And tell me truly, men of earth,

If all the soul-and-body scars,

Were not too much to pay for birth - Robert Frost

Have you ever wondered if it's all worth it? The pain; the suffering; the torment; the misery; the loss? I do - everyday. Not my own - that of my son. My little boy. For me, that makes the question that much harder.

This was a rather sad and scary story that set my nerves on end with the sheer unpleasantness of it all. But don't think that it was bad, because it was actually quite good. It all seems to be exactly the kind of things that Bellatrix would have done.

Author's Response: Thank you! That is pretty much what I was going for, so I'm glad it worked for you and that you thought Bellatrix was true to her character :) xx Ariana

Tendrils by Karaley Dargen

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •

This was a really great story! It was very sad, but I liked it a lot. I love stories that give character insight like this, and I wonder what Draco would say if he knew.

Author's Response: Mmhm I wonder too, but I doubt they'd ever tell him... Thank you very much for your kind words, it means a lot!

Seven Simple Years by HalfASlug

Summary: The story of Ron and Hermione through a series of missing moments. Who said love was simple?
Reviewer: PeppermintToads Signed
Date: 09/11/12 Title: Chapter 4: How the Cookie Krumbles

Ron can be so clueless. But I laughed pretty hard when he thought she'd made Krum join SPEW! That seems exactly like something he would come up with. :)

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing :) It makes sense! Why else would she dress up and go on a date with a boy? Anyway, glad you liked the chapter, next should be along shortly!

Ooh, cliff-hanger! I went and scrolled through a few of the previous chapters before reading this one to refresh my memory, and I can't believe how much they've grown up. You let this happen just like J.K. Rowling does--gradually, so that we barely notice. Great job!

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing :) Not too much of a cliffie, seeing as we all know how it ends! Thank you! It was hard to remember that 11 year old Ron was completely different to 15 year old Ron.

This was, in my opinion, the best chapter yet! I loved the tadpole thing--that was pure genius. I loved Hermione's reaction to the twins starting a business. Now that I've rattled on about how brilliant this story is, I'm off to find a way to rid myself if the terrifying image if Snape wearing that t-shirt.........

The ending of this was adorable, I loved the bacon sandwich argument. I am soooooo excited for the end!

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing! Bacon sandwiches are very important to Ron. Very, very important. Argh, now I feel like it's going to be a proper anti-climax! Even so, it'll probably be submitted tonight :)
