I read this a few days ago on your fanfiction.net page. Very intense, very gripping. I don't have children but I know enough about anatomy that as soon as I read "detached placenta" my first that was "Oh boy!"
Author's Response: I wondered if anyone would\'ve gotten anxious and read it on my ff.net page.
I had to discuss it with a couple people, actually, to find out what \"problem\" she was going to end up with...and this one just fit the bill perfectly.
Anywho...thanks a million for reviewing. I really appreciate it.
I've read the entire story on the SIYE site. Very orginial idea and very well done.
Author's Response: Thanks Z for the second kind review. Yeah, I'm just putting it up here while I puzzle out my next fanfic. The opening chapter is stumping the bejesus out of me.
What? Harry finds her, and instead of, oh say, taking her to St. Mungo's where they can at least try to determine what happened to her memory, he lets her go until she, all by herself (as far as he knows since he knows nothing about Alex) is cured? Not only that, but he is away from her when his child is due? At the very least, he should have been concerned for the baby, for its health, and to be there when the baby was born.
This story was fine until now, but this plot twist makes no sense at all.
Author's Response: he\'s upset. she\'s upset. neither of them think straight when they\'re upset. He\'s uber concerned but his emotions are haywire and yes he did see Alex.
Harry: It’s because of McLaggen, because he wants me dead.
Sounds like the logical first place to start searching for Ginny.
Author's Response: lol yeah.
OK, it's been weeks. Ya mean no one has reminded Colin of the simple fact that it was all a ruse and that he went into this knowing that? Despite he disparaging remarks about being Ginny's dog and such, this seems to have slipped his mind. I can see why in the heat of the moment Ginny doesn't remind him of this, but weeks later, at the very least I would have assumed this would have arisen, especially given all they have to lose should he really go off the deep end.
Author's Response: There are two things behind what you point out. For one, merely just moving the plot along. For another, and its interesting because I was just doing a little research on this earlier, Colin FELL IN LOVE. Very emotional, and it\'s one of those things that you can\'t be rational about. You know? It\'s even worse when you think this is Colin\'s first love. And in the end I think of Colin as being sensitive, and so when his heart is just broken like that, well, it\'s going to take some time and help recovering. I think in the end it doesn\'t matter that he knew it was coming, it still came and devestated him. Another thing to notice is the row inthe common room. We know from that that no matter how destroyed he was, it wasn\'t enough for him to give up the secret. I think Ginny tries to reconcile with him, though, but he just won\'t allow it. Don\'t worry though, we are nearing the end of the story, and I do intend to tie up the loose ends. I did in part I didn\'t I? thanks for the review, see you at chapter ten.
A little hard to say how I feel about this story. For the most part, within the context it's rather good -- though I am giving you the benefit of the doubt regarding why Ginny is acting the way she is -- but the problem is the context. Regardless of Harry's feelings of returning and seeing Ginny's engagement party, I don't buy for one moment that he would leave his children behind for all that time. I believe it even less given this chapter and the flashback of the new of Leah's impending birth. No matter what his feelings towards Ginny that night, no matter what despair he may have been feeling then, the man you presented would not have left his children.
Author's Response: You\'re probably right, the Harry we all know and love wouldn\'t do that. But if he didn\'t, there wouldn\'t be a story.
Ah, I see you've started posting your stories here, too.
This is still one of my favorite fan fiction stories, filled with some of the most heartfelt moments in any such stories.
I don't see anything about Harry nor Voldemort getting a new wand. If they didn't then if they each cast Avada Kedavra at the same time, the Priori Incantatem affect would have kicked in.
"In the midst of naught but a few seconds..." seems to imply that Harry cast it first, there is a lag, and Voldemort cast his. However, given what we've seen of the curse, it would seem that the curse would have hit Voldemort before he was able to cast his. I mean, if Voldemort had time to know what was coming, throw Ginny away, and cast his own curse, I would imagine there would be enough time for Harry's to reach him or Harry to get out of the way of Voldemort's curse.
Author's Response: well you\'ll just have to see what happens next.
The three main characters are very OOC -- Cho to the point of not being a character but a caricature. The sequence of events -- especially that it is over a year after Harry and Cho broke up and Cho started dating Ginny's old boyfriend -- makes this more of a Alternative Universe story than one following HBP. Not liking Cho is one thing, but this is so far over the top it's more of a parody than one than one that belongs in one of the romance cateogries.
Author's Response: I get what you are saying, Zoltan..... i hope this is constructive criticism... lol.... I hear where you are coming from, but 1st of all, Cho can still be jealous.. even while dating Michael Corner... 2ndly, It is all within the lines of reality, and therefore does not require an AU categoritation... and 3rdly: yes Cho seems like a bti of a caricature, but to tell you the truth, she is like that.... i just emphasize it and bring out the inner Cho in a way it was never done before. :-)
Thanks For Reviewing!!

Paragraphs are NOT optional.
Author's Response: Think this over very carefully. Obviously it was a formatting error and not due to blatant idiocy. I\'ve been writing a long time, and I\'m sorry that something went wrong with the spacing--The \"preview chapter\" page looked fine before submission, but evidently something occurred to smash it all back together between then and now. Don\'t be so rude, thanks.
