I love Harry Potter fan fiction, because it allows my imagination to run free!
I probably could be doing something more productive, but since I love to read and write, and hope to be an author one day, this doesn't seem like a whole waste of time!!!!
I love this site so much. It really let's me challenge my mind and see things in a whole new light.
Go fan fiction!!!!!
EDIT: I am a poetry nut! So watch out for all my poetry and you can even check some of my poetry out on Poetry Anyone? in the Beta Forums, if you are able to get an account. :) Also watch out if you write poetry, too! I am sure to review it, and possibly leave behind a critique!

Teehee! What a fun read! This was awesome!
I love Tom Riddle! (as you can probably see from my username...)
Very nice! I found this to be quite dark, and I felt pity for Ginny, but I also found this to be perfect for filling in those missing moments. Great job. ;)
Really well written! I felt so much pity for Severus! James is just despicable, and I always root for Severus...
Goodness! How does Snape live through these emotions? At least we know what really happened, now! :)
Beautiful job!
You did an exceptionally well job on this story. It certainly helped make a memory for me :)
What attention to detail you had! All the little things you had to have read and remembered in order to make such characterizations, like Sirius and the crossword puzzles. But what really hooked me was the thirst to know why and what happened before the potters had died. And you did amazing job of allowing the story to come through. It really made me stop and ponder my own loyalty to my friends and family, and it even made me cry. :) in a good way, although I felt a lot of pity for Remus. He was, by far, my favorite character in this story.
Thanks for a great read. I think JKR herself should hire you and your story as the prequel to the series. It is that well written!!!!!
Author's Response: Thanks!! Haha, yeah I always found it funny that Sirius said he missed doing the crosswords in Prisoner of Azkaban, so I had to put it in here. I'm glad that you liked my take on what happened before Lily and James died. Remus has always been my favorite character, so he obviously got a lot of attention here, so I'm glad you liked how I wrote him. Thanks for reading!
Hmm... Is his mother already dead? That sounds like something they would do to people. Kill the mom and have someone else disguised as her for the photos, or else kill her right before the promise charm was operated? How sad that Pettigrew could not care about all those other lives! It may be his mother, but isn't saving ten lives better than one? I realize, of course, the difficulty of the situation, but I'm sure Peter's mother would not have been proud of her son's decision. I know that I would rather my child save everyone else, even if it meant my death.
Author's Response: I am glad to say that Mrs Pettigrew made it out alive (I believe she received the Order of Merlin on behalf of Peter after he framed Sirius). Her memory was modified so she truly believed that Peter was a hero and had no idea that he had joined the Death Eaters (for that matter, she has no memory of being captured). I agree that saving ten lives is better than one, but I don't think many people are so logical as to see it that way when it comes down to being their choice. Plus, how would you have felt about Peter if he'd sacrificed his mother for strangers? I agree that if Mrs Pettigrew was given a choice, she wouldn't have wanted Peter to choose her over everyone else but if she were in the same situation, do you think she'd sacrifice Peter for the greater good? Really, the true villain here is Voldemort for putting Peter in this situation in the first place.
Thanks for reviewing,
Hypatia
I suppose Selena is somehow related to Luna? This story was awesome!!!!!!!! How ever I'd you come up with this?
I wish I could write a longer review but my few words will have to suffice.
If you ever wish to play a game of Quidlo, you could always contact me. ;) Unless, of course, you'd rather play Quillidillo! Sigh. One of the funniest stories ever!!!!!!!
Author's Response: I had guessed (incorrectly) that Luna was Mr Ollivander's granddaughter after having found that their eyes were described very similarly. Unfortunately, the release of DH shot a rather large hole in this theory. So yes, I had intended for Luna to be a descendant of Selena.
I would love to play a game of Quidlo or Quilidillo. I call Chaser! ...and will need to ask Lydia to lend me her Thestral. ;)
Thanks,
Hypatia
Augh!!!!!!!!!!! I loved it! Teehee! Snape/Petunia, Snape/Lily, it was all so good! I found it so funny how some parts made so much sense with the cannon stories! I wish, still, that Snape had gotten Lily. But hey, he got Hermione in your story! As long as he lives, im happy! :)
Awesome job!!!!!!'
What do I say to this? Well, I don't see why it was hard for Mrs. Weasley to have that conversation (although, I'm not a mother, so...) but I completely understand her concern! The message of this story should be for everyone- wizards and Muggles alike! Please try to be smart!!!!!!!! So, this story only strengthened my morals. Thanks! :)
Author's Response: Yeah, I wrote this one-shot after feeling slightly uneasy over the message its companion piece was sending (in which underage Molly and several underage friends sneak into a Muggle bar).
Thanks,
Hypatia
Augh! I really liked the story- personally, I think it could have ended without the kiss, and just been a story that showed Narcissa in some good light. I loved that she cared so much for her family, and also that Tonks was willing to save her and tried to help Draco. You did a beautiful job! :)
Author's Response: Not a fan of Harry/Narcissa, huh? Actually, I don't love the pairing. Although I would've found it more acceptable at the time I wrote this. I'm pretty sure I wrote this because someone on AIM told me the pairing couldn't be done... So that's where the kiss came in. Anyway, thanks for the review and I'm glad you enjoyed most of the story. ;)
Wow, what a story! But I feel like this was somewhat an alternate universe. I still loved it, but perhaps it will need that warning. This is due mainly to the fact that Marvolo didn't know of Merope's infactuation until Ogden visited and took them away to Azkaban. Also, Tom did seem much much more kinder than in the books. But other than that, I really enjoyed delving into Merope's thought process! I especially loved what she wrote in her diary, and how you ended it with the locket having nothing inside! It seems so angsty. :)
Ah, so beautiful! At first, I thought Sirius was Snape, but came to realize who it really was. I loved the idea of the box! I'm curious as to what Lily was hiding in hers... Maybe you could write a viewpoint of hers and her secrets? I would really enjoy it! ;) this was simply magnificent. Good job!
Very nicely done! I thought Voldemort had lost his marbles, but you did a very good job of explaining his out of character. This must have been so much fun for you to write! I laughed through the whole thing. Perhaps you will do another humor fic soon? You have a real wit! :)
Author's Response: Thank you! This was actually inspired by an online conversation with a very dear friend who used to act as a beta for me. I can't recall the details of the conversation but I *think* that's where most of the Peter Pan song got mutilated.
Thanks for reviewing,
Hypatia
Augh!!!!!!! I want Snape and Lily together!!!!!!! Please, someone, do it!
I loved it! I totally noticed that the dialogue was related to music, but it wasn't really that cheesy. It worked for Lily's character! :) now write a fic that actually allows Sev and Lily to stay together! *chuckles* This is my challenge really to anyone who reads this review!
This made me smile so much! And I did cry just a little. I noticed you borrowed some elements of the afterlife from Greek Mythology- why did you choose that? I'm just curious, because I'm really interested in anything Greek, and mythology is one of them. ;)
I hope one day that when I die, my homecoming will be as happy as this one! :)
Author's Response: I was actually surprised at how deeply Dobby's death affected me when I read about it, particularly since he doesn't even get much page space in the books. I'm trying to recall why I borrowed from Greek Mythology when I wrote this but it was a while ago. My best guess is that I wanted to incorporate some other ideas into the story's Christian-theme, particularly since in the HP universe there are issues like ghosts, phoenixes and Horcruxes. I mean, where did Fawkes go in that moment when he swallowed the Killing Curse? So, I tried to work that into it and I guess Greek Mythology seemed like the way to go at the time. I have always found the idea of the coins for the boatman interesting, sort of the idea that there is a price that needs to be paid. That, and I've always wondered why it's two coins. The typical numbers that we see in sotry and legend seems to be more like 1, 3 or 7.
Thanks,
Hypatia
Goodness gracious great ball of fire! I absolutely hate this bittersweet endings! But I loved the story! You have such nice imagery, and beautiful figurative language! It was magnificently well-written! Great job!
Augh! Okay, this definitely needs a sequel! I would gladly read it! It was so much fun, and I loves Ginny's character! I'll be on the lookout!
Awwwww! How sweet! How old are they in this? I'm just curious... I loved it! What a beautiful story! I especially loved the snow descriptions!
So sad! I really wish they had gotten together! I loved both of their characterizations! Especially the kiss! Such innocence! :) Beautiful story! Beautiful pairing!
Young love indeed! So adorable! Again, I wish this pairing had stayed in the canon books! They belong together!!!!!!! Great job! I enjoyed it immensely!
