I love Harry Potter fan fiction, because it allows my imagination to run free!
I probably could be doing something more productive, but since I love to read and write, and hope to be an author one day, this doesn't seem like a whole waste of time!!!!
I love this site so much. It really let's me challenge my mind and see things in a whole new light.
Go fan fiction!!!!!

EDIT: I am a poetry nut! So watch out for all my poetry and you can even check some of my poetry out on Poetry Anyone? in the Beta Forums, if you are able to get an account. :) Also watch out if you write poetry, too! I am sure to review it, and possibly leave behind a critique!

Again, beautiful writing. I especially loved the last fragmented bits and the well placed punctuation. It added so much depth to the poem!

Here are a few words and laurels for you: I love your writing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was such a perfect way to write Rita! And now, I want to know more about her! Perhaps this needs a sequel? Like, about her various escapades later on.... Why she's banned from Hogwarts... But even if you don't, this story was great! *throws imaginary roses at the imaginary stage* Take a bow, hestiajones!!!!!!!!!!

Author's Response: THANK YOU! -bows- :)

You tell him Ginny!
Again, a great poem! A sonnet, too, no less! I think this would be a great idea to expand- perhaps some more sonnets following, turn it into an epic poem! Or something worthy of Shakespeare. Not that this isn't already! :) but I know you have a skill with words, and this idea could really expand! Even if you decide not to, it's still a funny, awesome sonnet! :) I totally laughed at the last line, because it captured Ginny's character so well!

~Nagini Riddle

Author's Response: Thanks, Nagini :) I'm not sure I'm up to expanding this as I'm happy where it's at but I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

How many times can I read this and still glow over how well it was written????? :) Yes, this is, like, my hundredth review for this story, but it is my favorite, and I just can't stop thinking of how well you captured the emotions! This Fiction made Merope my favorite character! :) Great job!

Reviewer: Nagini Riddle Signed

Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh!!!!!! I'm crying, actually crying! Natalie, why did you have to make me cry?
This was beautiful, and it is wrenching at my heart and now I feel cold and light headed and a little miserable, yet happy... How can you have done this to me?
Okay, an automatic favorite, because it's about my favorite characters. I loved, loved, loved how you said that Merope hated the color green, because it's so funny how she viewed it. When I think of green, I think of new life, lushness, but she just saw hatred, darkness, and misery. Instead, she loved yellow, and I love some of your subtle inputs of that color, like when she felt a thousand flowers bursting in her, or when she was glowing... I appreciated that she love the rain, because I do too, but also because he found comfort in it, and peace.
The best line was when she giggled about herself already being dead, and my heart broke into infinitesimal pieces. It's so true! When people leave you, a part of you dies. It's so sad that Merope was so naive, and also that she ruined her life by being so ignorant of what was happening.
I appreciated, too, that she just couldn't stay at the inn because of the name Tom.
Another heart-wrenching moment? The fact that she believed in the fates! That theme throughout really drew it all together, and gave some insight into the character of Merope, who seemed to think that what had happened was directed more by some other force. It was also sad that she felt like her life was finally great when the fates had turned away from her! That was a wonderful unexpected turn.
But what really pulled me was when she was with her baby. No mother should have to tell their child that their sorry... I also found it pleasantly funny that both Tom and Merope had hoped that their child would be famous and celebrated. I know you did that on purpose, because of course, Tom did become famous, rather infamous, but he was also intelligent and handsome.
It's nice to know that Merope was finally at peace, and I hope there is no green where she is, because then her afterlife would be hell!
Again, a beautifully tragic story, and I'm finally calming down- well, my heart is still wildly pounding, but my tears have slowed down, so...
I have a request, Natalie. Would you consider writing about Cecelia's reaction to this entire affair? You know, Tom's Muggle companion. I feel pretty confident that you would do such a story justice.
What a wonderful Story! I'm sure it will haunt my dreams, and my later life when I have my own relationships and children...
Wow, that's probably my longest review ever! Keep up the great work, and please consider writing the Cecilia story!!!!!!!

Still crying,
Nagini Riddle :) :) :)

A Tale of Six Perspectives by hestiajones

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: The whoosh of a speeding Bludger was followed by the scream of a female voice.

Slytherin Chaser Armis Berkley was knocked off her broom, and she fell through the air.

James Potter, Gryffindor Chaser, gripped his broom and sped towards the falling body, even though he knew he’d never reach her in time.

Severus Snape blanched. Berkley always pestered him in the common room, asking him to help her with Charms homework.

Sirius Orion Black jumped up from his seat as the rest of the spectators did. A single obscene curse escaped his lips.

Peter Pettigrew prayed. Dear God, please don’t…no…no…

Lily Evans gasped as an odd monotonous sound rang in her ears.

Remus John Lupin shuddered involuntarily. DUMBLEDORE!

This is hestiajones of Hufflepuff writing for the final in the MWPP class on the Beta Boards. This story has just been nominated for a QSQ in the Best Marauder Era category. :D Thanks!

DISCLAIMER: So not J.K.Rowling.
Reviewer: Nagini Riddle Signed
Date: 06/19/12 Title: Chapter 1: Six Perspectives

I love all your different perspectives! I especially enjoyed the bit about Lily- maybe you could write a story about her childhood?
Anyways, this was a very moving story. I liked what you said about death, because it's so true- its sudden, and you never know when it will hit. That's why we have to live life like its our last, because nobody wants to have regrets- there's too much torment and guilt involved in that...
Keep up all your awesome work!

I really enjoyed this story. :) I was really glad that it was, in it's own right, about the trio and didn't mention much about the other golden trio. Your characterization was rather amazing, and I have grown to really like your characters and understand them.

There are a few grammatical and punctuation issues that made me slow down, but it didn't hurt the story. ;)

Great job! I am looking forward to reading more.

Memories Are Not Enough by hestiajones

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Harry finally arrives at Godric Hollow, but memories are all he finds.

This was written for the Magic in Music Challenge in Poetry Anyone, and it came SECOND. My chosen piece was Harry and Hermione by Nicholas Hooper (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince soundtrack).
Reviewer: Nagini Riddle Signed
Date: 06/17/12 Title: Chapter 1: Mere Memories

Oh Natalie....
I don't know how I keep being surprised by your writing, but I am, and it always puts me in awe! I wish, wish, wish I could write as much and as exquisitely as you do! I have to agree that sometimes memories aren't enough, although it is sometimes all we have. It's too bad and somewhat depressing that we can't get those things back, but that's life, and I for one think that perhaps its not as bad as I may feel about it at times.
I want to say that memories, while not tangible, are still sometimes the fuel that keeps me going, so of course, the topic is a little in the gray area, don't you think?
Anyways, great poem! You once again captured those emotions so flawlessly!
Keep writing!!!!
Nagini :)

The Gathering Storm and the Crib by hestiajones

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: War is looming right outside the door as a mother rocks her child to sleep.

A sonnet written for the Diamond Challenge at PA. My chosen theme was Innocence.
Reviewer: Nagini Riddle Signed
Date: 06/16/12 Title: Chapter 1: Sleep, my child.

The summary for this poem really caught my eye, and I'm curious- whose the mother? Is she just the general witch mother, or is she an actual character? I imagine her as Lily, personally, but that's probably due to the fact that she sacrificed herself for her baby. Anyways.... Again, your poetry is so beautiful: "the nights grow long as it creeps into day redder and blacker than they ever were..." "strong is the charm, for love's shield is supreme..." these were the best lines!!! The first one really caught me because I never think of the night as red, but it would be, with a war going on, like the phrase "red dawn". What a great way to really allude to what the war has been doing! And then the second line said it all- that love is the greatest magic in the world. That it always triumphs. And isn't that what Dumbledore was trying to tell his students? Lily (and yes, Harry) proved that simple, yet powerfully completing statement with their sacrifices. Even Snape proves a bit of it, even if his love was not quite unconditional. He still was able to give Harry help and aided in saving the Wizarding world.
Wow, I did not expect to get that much out of so few words!
I just reread the last line, and it, too, is really powerful. Sometimes, it is better to be innocent, and I would definitely want my son to stay young and whole...
A great poem. Seriously, you should publish your work! Of course, not the fandom, but if you are so good with words, you should write on other subjects. I know you would do really well. :)

Author's Response: Well, thank you for another GLORIOUS review! :) This was a poem I worked hard on since I'm not really good with structure. I'm so thrilled you liked it. I haven't thought of publishing, but I do have a Tumblr for posting my original poetry. Someday, I might seek out a publisher. :)

Stars Don't Determine the Future by majestic_ginny

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: As Severus Snape looks up at the stars in the sky, he wonders if they can really determine the future.
Reviewer: Nagini Riddle Signed
Date: 07/01/12 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

You felt bad for Snape do you wrote this???? It makes me feel even worse for Snape!!!!!!!!!!! My heart just goes out to him! I think I could forgive someone like Severus for everything he had done, but I suppose it's because I know his thoughts and points of view. How sad that we judge people too soon, or never allow people a second (or third or fourth...) chance. I realize that sometimes we just get annoyed with people when they don't change, but as Severus proved here, he could change! He felt so bad for his actions!
Sigh. I still loved reading this short story. :)

Author's Response: I cried when I watched Snape dying in DH part 2. He might have had his flaws, but he was a very moving character. It was very brave of him to sacrifice so much just to keep Lily's son alive, even though Harry was the proof of Lily's preference of another man. He proves that everyone can change, and he strengthens JKR's messages in the book, that love can conquer anything. I agree with you totally; we shouldn't judge people too soon at all, and a part of me wishes that Lily had given Sev another chance, or had at least tried to remain friends with him. for all we know, Snape might have changed and he wouldn't have told the Prophecy to Voldemort, keeping Lily and James alive in the process.

After I read the DH chapter The Prince's Tale Snape became my favourite character and I just had to write this. I'm sorry that I made you feel bad! The truth is that I can't even tell you how sad I felt while writing this. I wrote this when I was around fifteen, and at that time I felt that it was the most mature story I had written.

Anyway, I'm glad you loved this story! Its such an honour when someone likes your work so much. Thank you for leaving the lovely reviews, hun, I'm enjoying responding to each of them :D
