Hi, I am 'TheLoonyHermione'.

I love to sing and play guitar. Some of my favorite bands/singers are: The Head and the Heart, Gotye, Taylor Swift, James Taylor, and The Beatles.
And, obviously, I like to write. Harry Potter fanfics are mostly what I write, but I have other stories and fanfics as well - I have one that I'm doing on my own about a boy who lost his best friend, his dog; 3 HP fanfics by myself and 3 with a friend; One Hunger Games Fanfic by myself, one with a friend; and one Warriors fanfic with a friend. I also enjoy writing plays that me and some friends 'star' in.
I'm American but can do a fairly good British accent (I wish I was British...waah) and once someone asked me and my friend which part of the UK we were from...haha!
My favorite books/series are: Harry Potter (duh), the Percy Jackson series (although I found the movie horrendous), and The Hunger Games (I am currently obsessed).
My top 3 favorite sports are: 1. Tennis!! 2. Swimming (if you count that as a sport) 3. Softball (I'm a pitcher :))
My top 3 favorite HP characters are: 1. Neville!!!! Extremely cute!!! Even cuter in the movies!!! 2. Hermione!! I have been told that I sound like her (while speaking in a British accent), that I have the same personality as her (I do, however, think that I am more loud and rule-breaking, and also not quite as obnoxious), and even once that I look like her (which I seriously doubt, and I seriously thought the person who said that was insane). 3. Uh....can't pick between these guys...Lupin, Tonks, Snape, Sirius, Dumbledore, and Luna. There may be more, but I can't think of them at the moment...
My BFFLE is Kreacher Feacher!! She's amazingly loony, and I think you should read her stories!!
Guess what? I also love reviews!

Summary: Victory Day. A day of celebration and remembrance . For Lily, it is also a day of confusion and sadness. She wants to understand in a world that knows no terror. This year, she'll discover exactly what Victory Day means to her.

This was beautiful and sad at the same time. I'm not a huge fan of Scorpius/Lily, but oh well, I can deal with it . It was a very well-written chapter, well done! :D

Author's Response: Thanks :) ~Maple

Why Crookshanks? by Snidgetgirl

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Have you ever wondered why Hermione picked Crookshanks over all of the other adorable cats in the store? Needless to say, you will find out by reading!
Read and review, please! I like to hear from you all!

Good story, but a bit obvious with the reasoning. I also didn't find the style of writing very good. Also in the second paragraph, you kept switching from past to present tense. Sorry for the criticism but you said you needed it!!!

Author's Response: Hi. The tense switch was intended, to show Hermione's thoughts. Everytime I did this, I wrote "I thought to myself," or similar. So that wasn't a mistake, and the reason it may have been obvious, is because it was a chapter in Prisoner of Azkaban, already written, but in another person's perspective. I guess I can't really do anything about my writing style, though, as that is the way that I write. Thanks for reading anyway, I guess.

A Werewolf at Hogwarts by LoonyLupin

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Our favorite werewolf had the time of his life with the Marauders. But what did it take for him to get entrance into Hogwarts, and what did his friends say when they found out about his "furry little problem"?

Can be read as a sequel to "The First Howl", but it stands on its own, too.

This was very good!!!! Good writing and keep on doing it!!! I love Remus and always have, and I like reading about his childhood. Great that his friends were always with him, although I didn't expect Pettigrew to be completely with him at first. Great story though!

Author's Response: Thank you so much :) This was part of a really short fanfic. If you want to read the rest, see http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7584550/1/The_Chronicles_of_Moony

New Beginnings by AidaLuthien

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: It's January 1971 and both Severus Snape and Lily Evans are turning eleven. Both are eagerly anticipating their Hogwarts letters, but not everything goes according to plans.

Pretty good story but not fantastic. I didn't like how you repeatedly called snape 'sev', you could have used "severus', 'snape', or things like 'he'. But good overall.

Restless by Envy_I_May_Be

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: In the days after Ron leaves them behind, Hermione reflects on the things that are, the things that were, the things that should be, and the things that never were. She thinks about her feelings, and what she should have done. She thinks about Harry, and she thinks about Ron, and all of the people she’s left behind on her journey to help Harry seek out and destroy the Horcruxes. But mostly, she waits. And while she waits, she is restless.

A little one-shot set during Deathly Hallows.

I have always been a huge Hermione fan and this was great!! Good job capturing all of the emotions. The perspective did confuse me a bit, but still very good.

Author's Response: Thank you! I tried to play around a bit and do it in third person instead of first, but it didn't turn out as great as I wanted it to.

This was really good! I had read one of your other stories, Early November Morning and liked it, so I decided to read this! Not the type of fic I normally read at all, but as I had liked your writing before I decided to try it!

Author's Response: Wow, thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and if it's not normally your thing, even better. Thanks for reviewing!

Dear Gran by goldensnidget92

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •

This was amazing!! Neville is my favorite character, and I thought this brought out his character really well, and I liked your unique way of sharing his story. I would have liked to see some letters back from his grandmother, though, I think that they would be interesting. Once again, good job!

An Air that Kills by Sapphire at Dawn

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Into my heart an air that kills*...

Nine-year-old Lily Evans's world is singularly un-complicated. That is until a certain trip to the playground with her sister. Could the sallow, stringy boy be right? Could she really be a witch?

*denotes a line taken from A.E Housman's poem of the same name.
Reviewer: Theloonyhermione Signed
Date: 07/01/12 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

This was a good story, though I found nothing amazing or shocking about it. Only one mistake I found, though, was where Snape said about Hogwarts, "everybody goes there," because there are more wizarding schools, not just Hogwarts.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I'm sorry you didn't find it to be amazing, but glad you thought it was good nonetheless. In the sentence you pointed out, Snape is speaking generally. Most wizarding children in the UK go to Hogwarts. Nine year old Snape isn't going to make the distinction and start naming every wizarding school in the world. Though I may alter the sentence. Thank you for pointing it out.

A Death in the Family by GDPeg43

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Lily Potter has been confined to her Godric's Hollow home for months now with little contact to the outside world, so it comes as a great surprise to her when she learns of her Muggle mother's death. Lily's strong urge to go to the funeral and say good-bye to her mother would mean putting herself and family in danger in multiple ways - and possibly seeing her estranged sister Petunia.

Sooooo sad!!! Pretty good story, too! The ending seemed happy but actually turned out sad because Dumbledore was wrong.

I just realized I hadn't read any of your stories, just your poetry, and was curious. I ended up in tears!! This was really...I want to say sweet, but it wasn't, really. It was sad! D': I am impressed.

Author's Response: Thank you, theloonyhermione!!!!! :) I have grown as a writer since this piece, but I am still happy with it, since it features two of my favorite characters! Keep looking out for all my work- it will keep rolling in. :) And I will be sure to read yours. ~Nagini

Early November Morning by BrokenPromise

Summary:

On November 2nd, Petunia Dursley wakes up to a morning she hates to remember but will never forget.

This is BrokenPromise of Ravenclaw writing for the Great Hall Illustration for Inspiration Challenge 2012

Regrettably, I own neither the world nor the picture from which this fic is inspired. They belong to J K Rowling and Karaley Dargen respectively, and I hope that this is an adequate representation.

Character Death for Lily and James only.

Many thanks to Megan/noblefate who betaed this for me so quickly and helpfully!

I always knew that Petunia loved Lily...........this was heartbreakingly beautiful. This was great writing and you did a great job with Petunia, how she loved Lily yet was calling her a freak and was trying to avoid thinking about her altogether.....great story!

Author's Response: The trying to stop thinking about her was what I was going for; good to hear it got across! I’m glad you enjoyed the story, and thanks for the review!

Bloody Hell by noblefate

How did Ron survive on his own, with Snatchers and Death Eaters crawling all over the Wizarding World, unable and unwilling to let his family know what he’d done?

Hear the Moonlight Sing by goldensnidget92

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: It wasn't love, exactly. But it was a little bit more than friendship. Twelve-year-old Luna needed Archie to remind herself of what she believed in. Archie needed Luna to save him.

This isn't a story about first love. But it is a story about childhood, and making the decision to leave it.

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it, and that you persevered despite the summary!! Thank you very much for your review :)

Crashing Down Around Me by Maple_and_PheonixFeather

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: There are many types of secrets. Some you keep for others, some you keep for yourself, and others you keep to avoid them.

When it came to feelings, I, Lily, was the greatest keeper of secrets.
Reviewer: Theloonyhermione Signed

I actually wasn't expecting this to be good, but it really was! One thing: I suggest you call Lily 'Lily Luna' or 'Lily Potter' in the summary, because for some reason I didn't put two and two together with the category and Lily, and I thought you were talking about Lily Evans. I also really liked your description of the beach, and how we learned so many little facts about Lily - how she didn't like to swim without shorts on, for example. I was surprised that Lily and Hugo were going to become Healers, I never expected them to be. Once again, I really liked this!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Maple

I really liked this! Your ending was great, I always find those so hard. My favorite lines,
'Come close to me, I’m in your thrall,
Give night its wings on scented air.' This just flowed very well and I liked the image it gave.

Author's Response: Thank you very much. ~Carole~

Okay. So, before reading this story, I absolutely HATED Lily/Scorpius, and only read stories like this to give it a chance. Well, you changed my mind. I just read your most recent story (I forget what it was called, but it was another Lily/Scorpius) and that combined with this one did the trick. I am still not a huge fan of them together, but I'm not completely against it now.

Author's Response: Oh my gosh, thank you! You have no idea how much this means to me :) Maple
