I'm BA-ACK!
So, I've finally sorted through real-life enough that I can return to fanfiction. Hope somebody's still here who remembers me. If not, I'm sure I'll make new friends around here.
Anyway...what am I going to do now? Firstly, I do not plan to expand upon any of my old stories. No, I'm not even going to repost and finish the sequel to ONCE - it only was two chapters long when I left, anyway, I think. I'm not going to do more with Insomnia, either, like I wanted to do once. The reason for the dropping of my old plans is, first, that my stories are now far outdated. They were written pre-HBP and it's now been out for nearly a year - who wants to read that? Also, it's because it's been such a long time since I worked on them that I think doing something with them would be like digging up skeletons. They're fine as they are, and they'll remain on here as reminders of my past.
As for future projects...stay tuned. I've got several ideas but nothing definite...yet.
This review is for both chapters. I think this is a great start, and I can't wait to see what ends up happening. I've never read the book, only seen the movie (sheesh, now I have to go read the book because I dislike people who only watch the movies and say they know the story), but I think the part about Fleur being bald was funny anyway. I look forward to seeing how this plays out.
You said as a response to an earlier review that Hermione would be 17 when she graduated. I might be wrong about this, but I think JKR said somewhere on her site that Hermione started at Hogwarts when she was 11 and then later in September turned 12. Anyway, I really love the sequel so far. I'll be reading...
Author's Response: Okay...Hermione is born on Sept. 19, 1980 and Ron is born on March 1, 1980. So technically...Ron is older than Hermione! By 9 months give or take...so in actuality Hermione graduates from Hogwarts being 17 and Ron graduates when he's 18. Go to http://hp-lexicon.org to find out more! Thanks for the history check! And thanks so much for reading! Peace Out!!
I don't think anyone in this chapter was OoC at all, and that's very hard to find with a fic like this. You're a genius!
I loved this chapter, too. You've got one amazing story on your hands. Update soon!
Another hilarious and fluffy chapter. I'm lovin it!
This was absolutely adorable. I love the bit of Hermione and Ron you're weaving into this...moving on to Chapter 8...
Well, I must say that all three new chapters were amazing. You mix fluff and humor very well without making it seem forced or OoC. Pointed hats off to you!
I still love this! You're a great author, keep it up!
Woohoo, Harry finally proposed! I was getting rather worried that he'd wait until she was about to go down the aisle...
It's amazing how fast this is getting updated. My chapters are usually sitting in queue about 4 days. Anyway, great story. As I have said before, you're taking a story that has potential to be very OoC but handling it well. Can't wait to find out what Harry plans for the Weasley boys. I love it!
Very, very good beginning. Strange ending, but I've read your responses to other reviews and I understand why. Can you just edit the chapter, this time including the end? Also, I must admit wanting to yell at Ron and Hermione like Harry did several times. Thank God they're finally together. Let's just hope that Jo is that nice and doesn't make them skirt the subject in HBP. Anyway, loved it, I'll be reading.
Author's Response: thanks a lot!!!!! ....i've submitted the 2nd chapter so the actual ending to the 1st chap is in the 2nd chap..so read on..! yeah i cant wait for Ron and Mione to get together too..hopefully they will VERY VERY sooooon...... thanks again!!
Very interesting...JKR hasn't had much of a take on wizard's "afterlives", at least not yet. This is quite a satisfying description, I must say.
Well, it looks like I'm the first to review. Having gone through a suicidal period myself after my mother died, this really meant a lot to me. I must say it's a very good first attempt at angst. I'll remember this story.
Great start. Did you get the "because the dishes are wet" line from a book? I swear I've read it before. Anyway, very good story. I'll be reading.
Author's Response: I did get it from a book. I meant to document it, but it must have slipped my mind. It's from Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine, which far surpasses the pathetic movie made from it, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes stories that make you laugh, cry, and smile all at the same time. :) Read it guys. Seriously.
