Determination by Seren

Rated:
Summary: Back and forth. Back and forth. I rock myself as hard as I can, bashing my body against the sturdy oak doors of my prison. It hurts badly; every time I slam my body against the doors, splinters break off into my already bruised and scratched skin. But back and forth, back and forth, I will rock. Every time I smash into the doors, they weaken slightly. And every weak crack spiderwebbing against the doors is one step closer to freedom. Four girls are held hostage by Death Eater. But they have a plan.

I fell like I'm being such a downer, but I have to say this: although the story was well written, it was painfully unrealistic. I cannot see this ever happening in the relm of Harry Potter, especially the part about Padma Patil. Don't get me wrong, I think that four girls working together to escape deatheaters, using all their girl-power and what-not, but the circumstances just don't work. I've noticed that about a lot of your one-shots: the idea is nice, but too good to be true. I've also noticed an unrealistic ammount of comradery between people that barely know each other: like in that one where Hermione and Dean and Susan Bones and a few other people form some sort of group because nobody cares about dead people. I forgot what it's called. Anyway, I really hope I wasn't offensive, because I don't like offending people, and I can tell you put a lot of work into this.

Spinning Out Of Control by Black Angel

The Worthy by Seren

Rated:
Summary: The Last Battle has begun, and the Last Stand is pitched in the Ministry of Magic. After Remus Lupin is felled, Harry and his closest friends defeat Voldemort, and Prophecy is fulfilled. But it is not the end; the Veil stands as Judge, Jury, and Executioner, and only the worthy may survive. Not a Sirius returns from the Veil fiction.

That was pretty interesting, although the part where they all started screaming and running at Voldemort was kind of corny. It was well written. BTW, one of the warnings was 'sexual situations'. I didn't see any of that.

Quiet Courage by Seren

Summary: Neville Longbottom is a shy, bumbling child, teased by his classmates and bullied by his grandmother. So why does he even try? Courage doesn't always roar.

Oh my goodness, I loved that so much. There was a lump in my throat at the end of it. Thoughtful one-shots are truely the best.

That was really good. Very touching. I'm just a little confused: was Smith raping him or something?

The Love of a Sister by Seren

Rated:
Summary: He touched him... he touched him there, and he doesn't know what to do, and the Devil will come and steal his eyes for it, because he reacted. He reacted, and he has been shamed, and now he is light-forsaken, doomed to return back to that room and let the demon touch him, hurt him, bleed him. Graham Pritchard is being abused, and he doesn't know what to do- but he finds salvation in the most unlikely of people.

I wasn't sure what was going on when I read the first one, but having read this one, I have apretty clear picture of what was going on. It was really good. I think you described Graham's emotions very acurately for someone is his unfortunate position.

Part I of Romance Slytherin Style - Somewhere Only We Know by SeaIsleWitch

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Near the end of sixth year, an overdue confrontation between Pansy Parkinson and Draco Malfoy leads to an emotionally charged evening, that neither will forget. This story depicts a missing scene from HBP and includes a humorous cameo of our favourite Potions Master. (Complete - 3 Chapters)
Part I of Romance, Slytherin Style - A Trilogy
* Let me change your mind about the Slytherins you love to hate. *

You've really made me care about the characters that I used to want to slap upside the head. I like that you abandoned the concept of Pansy being 'pugfaced'. I can't believe Snape walked in on them like that, the slimy perv. I felt so embaressed for Pansy!

Author's Response: Hello, papillon13! I just had to write this and I've named the ship Pure (Pansy) and Proud (Draco). (I'm not fond of the other names for this ship.) Always remember that everything, except a few chapters, is seen through Harry's eyes. Harry has his own taste and opinions, so he might think Pansy's nose has a bit of an upturn...maybe when she was eleven. Who knows, right? Draco was gallant in handling the Snape thing. It makes him more likeable to know he cares about Pansy and has the wherewithall to think about her first. Thanks for reading and reviewing! - SIW

Extra! Extra! Read All About It! Harry Potter Tells All! by SeaIsleWitch

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Harry Potter, the Boy-Who-Lived, is now, of course, the Wizard-Who-Defeated-You-Know-Who. Flanked by his associates, Harry Potter sat down for an in-depth discussion with yours truly, special correspondent Rita Skeeter.
Pure silliness. Find out who the Sirius Six are and how Voldie was finally defeated.

That was very funny. I am glad that you actually explained how Volde--I mean Tom Riddle was defeated. Most people who write fics that are during or after book 7 aren't brave or creative enough to delve into the details of the final battle

Author's Response: Hi, papillon13. Thanks for reading my interview! I have another one I'm going to post...I wrote it for an RPG. That final battle just occurred to me one day, so I wrote this little ficlet. I'm so happy you found it funny. Thanks for letting me know! -SIW

Another captivating chapter. That Bunny sure is a rhymes-with-itch, and so is Bellatrix. I'm glad Draco and Pansy got engaged before Draco had to leave.

Author's Response: Papillo13, I can't stand that Bunny either! LOL! Auntie Bella is a piece of work too! Thanks for reading! -SIW

The Upside of Being Down by Kimberley

Rated: Professors •
Summary: *COMPLETED!*What happens when you put a hopelessly "romantic" man-hussy and a girl with a soft spot for bedtime activities (not THOSE activities, silly!) together in a dark bedroom? Well, I don't happen to know either, so I suppose we'll find out together, won't we? Come with me, Tia C. Spencer, on a lovely ride through the countryside... er, lakeside... okay, so we won't actually be riding NEXT to anything, but it will be lovely, I promise you that. How can it not be, with me as your illustrious (and quite possibly mad) companion?

And no, contrary to beliefs very likely impressed upon you by this summary, I'm not a gormless prat.

Well... not entirely.

Another invigorating chapter. I found myself practically screaming at my computer screen over the injustice of Tia's treatment by her peers. Great job

Author's Response: I do feel quite invigorated, I agree. Stupid peers, they should be whipped with scented bootlaces. And moreover, it should be done injustly so they know how it feels. *nod* >.< Hehehe... I'm sorry, I'm in a silly mood. Thanks, dear! ~Kim
