Smeade does sound a lot like Scrimgeour. I really liked this chapter. You sound very much like JKR.

Author's Response: That\'s interesting, because Scrimgeour was the last person I had in mind when writing about Smeade. Smeade is a smarmy, empty fellow who only cares about what will make a big story. He doesn\'t want Harry to talk to help the public, but because he knows it will sell a lot of papers. Really Smeade was a way for me to vent at journalists and news networks, many of whom care more about a big scoop than actually reporting the news. I think he and Scrimgeour both want the same thing out of Harry, but for very different reasons.
