Avenged Sevenfold by SecretKeeper

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

UPDATE: Guys, I'm back!

The innocence I’ve lost
The blood it's cost
Leaves unhealed scars within.
But I will not abate,
I will employ the hate
That has been planted deep inside.
I will not falter
Valor will not tire,
And I will survive
This trial by fire.

Many things are different now. Potions class is the least of the trio's worries. Battling dragons would be a welcome alternative to what it is they're attempting to battle now. The Order of the Phoenix is hallow without its leading member. And when someone close to Harry is stolen, Dumbledore's rhetoric of love, hope, and faith is challenged. Harry's strength and resolve are pushed to their limits. Loyalties are tested and new leaders emerge while Harry and Hermione struggle to balance new emotions and uncharted territory. Yet while this time after sixth year proves to be drastically unlike anything Harry's ever experienced, some truths remain, and some affections stand solid.

A novel-type story that explores the engimas of Snape, Horcruxes, war, and above all, the puzzle of love. HBP compliant. HHr.

whoa.... that was some of the deepest and most inner delving writingi have ever read. I LOVE how they are not realizing what is happening. I am NOT a H/Hr shipper, but i have to admit, when you write it this way, i could be persuaded. I just catn get over how deep Harry is. He is so powerful, just in being. whew! That was a really amazing scene. I wish it could have been caried on forever... so powerful! Well done.

One Step by JaimeHP

Summary: A stolen moment between Ron and Hermione. A very, very short outtake taking place in the final chapter of HBP.

yes that was fantastic. You couldnt have made them act any more human. I knew exactly the was Ron felt as he looked at her while she was crying, and i know exactly the way Hermione felt after he kissed her. It was perfect. It was beautiful. It is what I hope happened to Ron and Hermione during the book when we were with Harry and Scrimgeour. Perfect 10/10. Superb!

Summary: Hermione and Ron have gotten closer since the end of their sixth year and finally reach the point of sharing their first kiss. But who said that first kisses are as wonderful as we all would hope? Can theirs survive awkwardness and feelings of inadequacy, or will they regress to the usual bickering and never make it to the second kiss? And if they do make it…

Really very beautiful. I liked your characterization of Hermione. I thouhg it was spot on! I do think they might have moved a bit fast for a "first kiss," but i suppose it is the fantacy of most boys and girls at that age. Very good story! Well done!

That was really very beautiful. I especially adored the story Ron told Hermione, it was great. It was not too overboard, and, in my opinion, there was no fluf at all. Just two people finally realizing there feelings for each other. And by the way, the artwork was fantastic. Well done Well done!!

ooh wow that was ...breathtaking! You are def a first rate writer and i look forward to reading more of your stories. Very few times do i feel this emotionally involved in a story... usually they are just fun or full of fluf. But this had it all. Im not a big fan of pregnancy stories, but i have to make an exception for this one. It was written with the utmost respect and beauty for the gift of life, even though Ginny lost the baby. The emotion you instill in this story is enough to have anyone coming back for fourth and fifth readings. Defenitly one of my favorite shorter fics of all time! Well Done!!!

Author's Response: Omg, I\'m crying now. This is one of the nicest reviews I\'ve ever recieved! And you totally saw what I was going for. Thank you SOO much! ~Kate *teary smile sent your way*

My Amortentia by Auror81692

Summary: The night after Ron was poisoned, Hermione must have felt awful. I mean, she hadn't spoken to him in months. So, what if she went to see him? And what do their Amortentia smells have to do with it all?

very cute. It reminds me of one of those dreams that all boys have at this age. The one where the girl they want comes to them and professes their undying love for them. Boy Ron is one lucky guy. Well done.

Author's Response: SQUEE!!!!!!!!!!

Finding the True Path by ejh0904

Rated:
Summary: Post HBP One-shot. Harry, Ron, and Hermione have taken several more steps down that "dark and twisting path" that will eventually lead Harry to Voldemort. Injuries and loneliness have already taken their toll, and Harry is beginning to lose faith in the few remaining shreds of hope he had been unknowingly clinging to. Fortunately, though, a surprise visitor is about to change all that, and Harry Potter is about to be shown that the choices he made at the end of last year were not just his to make in the first place. (Some Ron/Hermione but mostly Harry/Ginny).

i very much like the idea of the "Ancient Magic." It opens up a whole new perspective on fighting the battle...Interesting...

Author's Response: I kept the "Ancient Magic" book vague and open so that you could bring your own interpretation to that particular piece of magical information. I'm glad that you enjoyed it, and I sincerely appreciate the review!
