Please do not tell me that she will the man at the alter and run off with Ron, cause that would be a. cliche' and b. not fair. Considering that she talked with him before he married and it made no difference to him, well see how it feels to be on the receiving end.

Sniff, I loved it, but to me it would have been better having both Draco and Hermoine die together. Still, lovely.

A Thousand Words by annie

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: For the rest of the Ministry, the interdepartmental challenge was merely a failed attempt to restore trust between workers. But for Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger, it was the catalyst for an unexpected relationship built on passionate letters, concealed identities, and secret meetings – and the beginning of an end that neither of them could ever have imagined possible, not even in their wildest dreams.

Post-war. Based somewhat on the story of the Phantom of the Opera. Also contains R/Hr, so don't read if you can't stomach that ship.

Status: Complete. Thanks for reading, everyone!

This is NOT the ending I had in mind. He goes to Greyback and asks to be bitten, saying good bye to his humanity and pain. Many years go by. At last one evenig as he's out walking he stumlbles upon a family, a man and woman with three children. He kills the man, but as he sets his sights on the woman, recognition hits him and he leaves her. But not before she sends the septumsupra(?) charm his way, slicing him as he runs away. In anger over the lost of her man she persues the beast, and finds him, badly hurt. He looks at her mournfully, lets out the saddest howl ever heard and awaits the curse she was sure to cast. As he returns to human form, a small smile plays on his lips. And to his side written in his own blood " I love you Hermione. Good night".

Author's Response: Er... well, that\'s not exactly the ending I had in mind, either.

Maybe it's just me, but in this chapter you really get a feeling of extreme loneliness from Draco, driving him to share his secrets with Hermione. Please update soon.

Summary: NOTE: CHAPTER 19 IS COMPLETE; CHAPTER 20 HAS BEEN STARTED!

It is Hermione Granger's seventh and final year at Hogwarts. When she and Draco Malfoy are together more often than either would like, Hermione asks herself: "Can a leopard change its spots?", as Draco wonders: "Will any sort of relationship with Granger be bad for my health...?"

Please note: this story, while having some humor and mystery, really is a romance...!

Ok, are we going to assume that Draco already bears the Dark Mark? The dream, a sign of things to come? You got some good material to work with. Keep up the good work.

Author's Response: Thanks you for the nice comments; I am sorry to say that I cannot say much more on Draco\'s dream. But you have some very good guesses! :)

Harry Potter and the Locked Door by megan_lupin

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Harry Potter's sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry ended in a tragic event. A headmaster and well-respected wizard was killed by the very man in whom he had placed his trust. This story begins during the latter part of the Boy Who Lived's sixth year, and it will follow Harry, as well as the entire Wizarding World, through Harry's seventh year and the Second War. The Order of the Phoenix struggles to overcome the loss of their leader and the harsh sting of betrayal, while Lord Voldemort has continued to grow in power and strength, and Wizarding Britain is on the brink of collapsing into darkness.

Harry sets out on the path he chose, seeking the four Horcruxes that still remain in the world, and the story will culminate in the final and climactic battle between the forces of good and evil, where death, loss, betrayal, and the overwhelming strength of love and friendship abound. After so many years of terror and war, who will be victorious in the end -- Harry Potter ... or Lord Voldemort?

As of 25 July 2007, this story will NOT be compliant with canon in Book 7: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I will be sticking to my own plot line, and it will only connect with DH if the two happen to overlap.

I felt that you an "O" for originality. The prison should have had more personal, and a back-up plan should have been in place. You captured the sense of aloofness and the subsequent sense of hopelessness of the aurors. Like the story so far.

Author's Response: Thanks, arwenevenstar. I\'m glad you like the story. This chapter is perhaps my favourite out of all that I\'ve written with this story, and I see the Ministry not really caring much about the prison and such. One sort of gets the feeling that, in the books, they very rarely, if ever, do things just the right way, and have enough sense/people in place, that it would be reasonable for them to think the enchantments and such would be enough to hold the prisoners in. Anyway, I\'ll quit rambling and just say, once again, thank you for reading, as well as taking the time to review. I really appreciate it. ~Megan

Ok chica, it's been seven months since you finished this story, and X-men Last Stand is now on dvd. When will you begin the crossover story???? Sorry you didn't win, I always believed that this story is the best. Read the other one.Doesn't have the same pizzaz as this one. You deserved it.

Author's Response: I\'ll probably be starting on the crossover next year. And thank you for your kind words. I was a litle disppointed that I didn\'t win, but it\'s all gravy. =D

Brilliant ending, but it left more questions than answers. #1. Y did she leave in the first place? Percy obviously has her ands been living with her. #2 What became of the baby she was carring? #3 What does X-Men have to do with this(I love them btw). Enough ?. Your a gifted writer and the main reason I even log on in the first place. Loved how Draco told his daughter how he really met his wife and the impressoin It left on him. Now I never really liked his character, but now I do. I'm also glad that you were able to show the transforming power of love by the way his character evolved. Brilliant, jusy brilliant. Let me know when the sequel will be ready.

Author's Response: Trust me, the questions will be answered in the sequel.

Now, I don\'t know if X-men compares to Star Wars, but I enjoyed the movies. =)

This is my first review and this story is is amazing! From character develpoment to this chapter, what can i say? Cool!!!! I've been going over the Malfoy curse trying to figure out how your going to end this. Frankly, I'm stumped. How can Draco brake it. Is it meant to ever be broken? What really happened to his mother, did she die because of the curse? We only assumened Lucius killed her, but he never said he did. Cant wait for the end. BTW, I dont think Angie's dead. Ithink Percy blackmailed her.

Author's Response: First off, welcome to site, I hope you enjoy your time here. It\'s a great little place. Second, Woohoo! I have the honor of being your first review. That\'s like, so awesome.

Hmm. . . let\'s see, I\'m looking over your review, and I think you may not fully understand the curse. It isn\'t to be broken per se. In fact, right now, it\'s being played out.

What happen to Draco\'s mother? Well, it isn\'t something I wrote out in the story, but in my head, I like to think that she left Lucius. Because you know how Angelina threaten to leave, but Draco begged her to stay. Well, I like to think same kind of senario with Lucius and Narcissa, but her still deciding to leave. And I would like to think that Lucius covered up any sign that she left him.

So you do think Angelina is dead and that Percy is blackmailing her? Hmm. . . I can\'t stay much on that, but I think you\'re headed in the right direction.

Thanks for the review!

Great ending to an even better story, one of the best i've read in Fan fiction. The action, the excitement, the plots, all key in keeping the audince's attention. Not once did i have to ask "why did you do that"? Although I will admit that you ahd me there when Harry "died". Great job.
