Hello! I'm currently trying to work up the nerve to write a fic of my own, and enjoying reading the fruits of other people's labors way too much.
the length of your chapters is not a bad thing--it simply gives you enough room to fully develop your characters.
I really like the way you write lupin's voice. it seems very true to his character. I just read a fic where lupin sounded like an american teenage girl....you put just the right amount of sensitivity and wisdom and humor and sadness into him.
the way you write lupin and tonks, I just don't think it is right for them to end up together. I usually like that pairing, but in this story it just doesn't seem appropriate.
why can't poppy make the scars go away?
oh man, i feel so sorry for lupin. idiot.
Danae Trebond---!!!!! nice one..
yeah, this is an evil cliffie.
I really, really like this. excellent.
the only thing that marrs this ridiculously funny chapter is hermione's agreement with draco at the end. she needs to put up a fight. but other than that...I love dumbledore, I love draco's proposal...this could get silly really fast. I love it.
I'm mock_turtle's grand auntie. Mock (that's what I call her) is visiting for the weekend. I THOROUGHLY enjoyed reading your story. I'm NOT a H.P. "fan" nor reader but Mock took me to 2 H.P. movies. Your story reminded me how much I enjoyed the H.P. chararacters. I can't wait for more.
question--what happens to the prophecy if harry's personality changes and he no longer has "power the dark lord knows not" ie love?
"white rot iron chair "
actually, I think it is "wraught-iron"
Okay, so I was going to bed last night and I thought of some more questions that may or may not be answered after ch 15 or so.
Were HG and SS actually married, like in a ceremony? was there any legal process?
What was the actual curse that Hermione used on Neville? was it Stupefy or Avada K?
What did hermione say to her kids before she left them? do they know she's a witch? is she planning on visiting them after her troubles are over, assuming she's still alive?
Does Malfoy Sr. know when she kills neville that she is hermione?
What was hermione's fake name that she entered azkaban under?
And finally, how did hermione meet her first husband? assuming that her first child is his child too, she would have to have met him while working in the order. This brings about the question, is her first child also the child of her first husband?
I love your writing. It makes me think ;)
Author's Response: Hiya - thank you for the interest you have taken in my story. All the reviews have made me smile! You have a lot of questions, some which I will have to think carefully about. Hermione isn\'t married to Snape, that\'s just a cover-up plan to get her into Azkaban, and I never actually thought up an alias name for her (that\'s bad, isn\'t it?) Lucius discovers Hermione\'s identity once Draco tells her - it is he who manages to recognise her, seeing as they were at school together. She met her husband in the Muggle world - she is Muggleborn, so she would have met him whilst visiting her parents. She has two children with him: George and Harriet. No, they don\'t know she\'s a witch. She left them without telling them where she is. She\'s not sure if she will return to them after all that has happened at Azkaban. Oh, and it was AK that she used but she was under the influence of Confundus and so she confused it for the Stunning Spell.
I hope this answers your questions sufficiently enough. Thank you for the reviews so far. Keep them coming!
justso you know, the plural of millennium is millennia. I am a terrible grammar fiend, though I usually try to ignore mistakes.
nice chapter!
Author's Response: Okidoke *makes note* Glad you enjoyed the chap!
You go to Oxford. total jealousy from the American (moi). again, I love the story, etc etc, but I still think snape is too chatty.
Author's Response: I visited Oxford for an interview last December. I didn\'t get in. It\'s a great place but I now prefer Cambridge... hehe! I might be going to Durham next year if I achieve my grades.
Okay, so it's my own fault, but I've been watching "I Claudius" (BBC, based on book by Robert Graves, about the intrigues, excesses, and affairs of the imperial roman family) and Hermione is really starting to remind me of all the ambitious, power-hungry roman ladies, particularly Livia and Messalina. Hermione is irritating me. I don't think I like her pregnant.
Is there a spell for abortion? does hermione ever consider this?
and how is it that 12 grimmauld place was revealed by creevy? is there no secret-keeper?
what happens to someone who's pregnant if they drink polyjuice potion? what happens to the baby? what happens if the person who the pregnant person changes into is male? what does the polyjuice potion do to your integral anatomy?
Author's Response: Interesting question. I have a friend whose studying anatomy at the moment, I may ask her. But don\'t worry - it isn\'t Hermione who takes the Polyjuice Potion!
