My name's Lucy, I'm 15 years old and from Australia. I picked up my first Harry Potter book around the time GoF came out, and ever since then I've been madly obsessed. Just as a note to any readers, the four stories I currently have posted here are all quite old. I like to think my writing has improved since I wrote those (particularly Imperfections- my first), but please still feel free to review. :) And I'm afraid that, at the moment, it doesn't look like Letters from the Other Side will get completed. Sorry to anyone who was enjoying it.
Aside from reading and writing, I love music. My list of favourite bands is forever changing and updating, but at the moment a few favourites are From First To Last, Nightwish, All-American Rejects, Snow Patrol, AFI, Cute Is What We Aim For, Drop Dead, Gorgeous, Hidden In Plain View, Jack Off Jill, In This Moment, Oasis, Senses Fail, and many more.
I'm currently working on a new fic about Bella, my current obsession. It's pretty dark at this stage, and possibly a little violent, so I'm working on toning it down a little. Hopefully it will get submitted sooner or later.

Wow, I absolutely LOVED it! My only complaint is that it is over *sob*. I thought the song was beautiful, perfectly fitting for the occasion!
I also liked the message you had in it. Most of the time I strongly object to authors preaching their values through a story, but in your case, it was good. I liked that the story actually had a purpose and meaning behind it. And I agreed with what you said. I have always thought it was an issue of personal choice, but your story made me actually think about it more. Now I have decided I want my first time to be as special as theirs was. Oh I'm sorry, was that too much information? The point I am trying to make is that this story really touched me. Great job! You should definately write more.

Yes, we share a hatred of Severus, but, then again, lots of people do after the Half-blood Prince...I\'m glad you liked the feather duster thing. I liked this chapter. Sure, it was a bit of a filler, but still very well written. I liked Sirius' fight with his mother.
In response to your question, my favourite OC is Emily, because she is so real. I catually know people like her. Also, I guess I find it easiest to identify with characters who are unhappy. I would like to see more of her in future chapters.
I only have one criticism. SamLin seems just a little too Mary-Sue. She is too perfect, and I don't think you have given her any real faults yet.
Aside from that, I am loving this story. Update soon!
Author's Response: I like how you feel about Emily. She is based off of someone in real life, but that person is not as sad.
SamLin is NOT Mary-Sue. I know you think that, but it\'s obvious (or maybe not so obvious) that she\'s shy and she\'s also kind of playing games with her relationship with Sirius, and not really acting like her true self. Just wanted to point that out.
Author's Response: Oh, and none of the girls are popular besides Emily (this does include SamLin, yes). I think I\'m just supporting SamLin because I LOVE her character and the person I based her on.

Fantastic chapter! I really like the way you are mixing in the P&P storyline without sticking to it too strictly.
I don't think Emily is being evil, I just think she is very lonely and hurt. I can identify with her more than ever in this chapter. I'm not saying what she is doing is right, but I think her friends were being horrible. They didn't need to take sides like that.
I really loved this chapter, the story is going great so far and I can't wait for the next installment!

I read your response to my review, and I think you are being a little narrow-minded. Bear in mind that, when you create a character, in your mind you inevitably have a lot of information about them that never appears in the story. This means that the characters may come across very differently to how you imagine them. That's what reviewers are for, to tell you how they think the story is coming across. Getting really defensive whenever you get criticism isn't exactly going to encourage reviewers to bother much with your story. I'm sorry if I'm being rude, but I really think you should be a little more open-minded about the criticisms you get.
I still really like your story though, and I hope you will update really soon!
