Hi, I'm Valentinia, your typical Harry Potter obsessed teen.

I've read the HP books so many times that I've lost count, but I'm guessing most of you on MNFF have done the same!

Otherwise, I'm pretty boring.
My favorite band is Evanescence.
My favorite HP characters are Luna "Loony" Lovegood and Petunia Dursley.
My favorite HP book is PoA.
My favorite HP chapter is "Career Advice" from OotP.
My favorite HP film is probably OotP.
My favorite HP actor is Evanna Lynch. There're a lot of great ones though!

I'm an all-out Ron/Hermione, Luna/Harry and Ginny/Neville shipper. *Sigh*. I know, I know, Canon just sort of ruined those last two. Still, Harry/Ginny was okay. I guess.

I also love stories about Parvati, Padma and Lavender, because I think they deserve some character and depth and they're often deprived of it and made into girly non-humans.

And here some cool things from other people's profiles:

Weird is good, strange is bad, and odd is when you don't know which to call someone. Weird is the same as different, which is the same as unique,so weird is good. If you are weird and proud of it, copy this onto your profile!

92 percent of American teens would die if Abercombie and Fitch told them it was uncool to breathe. Copy this in your profile if you would be the 8 percent that would be laughing your head off.

If you're one of those people who get excited when you see just two reviews, paste this into your profile.

If you've been on the computer for hours on end, reading numerous fanfictions, copy this into your profile

If you don't watch Laguna Beach or the O.C. or The Hills religiously, never have, never will, and are proud of it, copy and paste this into your profile.

You know you live in 2007 when...

1. You go to a party, sit down and take MySpace pics.

2. You haven’t played solitaire with real cards in years.

3. The reason for not staying in touch with your friends is that they don't have AIM/LiveJournal/MySpace.

4. You'd rather look all over the house for the remote instead of just pushing the button on the TV.

6. Your evening activity is sitting at the computer.

7. You read this list, and keep nodding and smiling.

8. You think about how stupid you are for reading this.

9. You were too busy to notice number five.

10. You actually scrolled back up to check if there was a number five.

11. And now you're laughing at your stupidity.

12. Put this in your pro if you fell for it. You know you did.

Ninety-five percent of teenagers are concerned about being popular. If you are one of the five percent who aren't, copy this, put it in your profile, and add your name to the list: Queen S of Randomness 016, Queen B of Randomness 016, AnimieKittyCaffe, The Gypsy Pirate Queen, That Bloody Demon, The Astrology Nerd, Shadow929, Crazy Billie Joe Loving Freak, Yavie Aelienel, Hyperactively Bored, Spymaster E, Shanny-Boo, Gem W, Brown-eyed angelofmusic, piratesswriter/fairy to be, Bara-Minomoto, Em Quagmire, Buffy The Mary-Sue Slayer, Random Little Writer, SamanthaFantasyFan, EdwardAddict, Supergirrl, Elemental-ANimal, Mother Nature's Daughter, Schmerg_The_Impaler, Carmona, Hanabi, Valentinia

Woah. So many twists! So ingenious though! I never would've thought of her being related to Harry through Dudley - but of course it makes sense! Cool. Poor Hermione, though - to be the last of the Golden Trio left. I really like the way you write her. So IC, a lot of people can't pull Harry, Ron and Hermione off. Anyway, the plot thickens, and I must click next to find out... well, what's next!

Author's Response: Thanks! I was worried that the relation would seem a little too contrived, but it's definitely an important element of the story!

Thanks for the review!

Finally getting ready to fight! I can't say I've found anything boring until now, but it's still nice to have them progressing towards (one hopes!) defeating Voldemort! Also, I noticed Hermione chewing her lip and running off to the library without explanation. It's so great how IC she is. Neville, too. :)

Author's Response: Haha I enjoyed including that detail about Hermione. Yeah, they're starting to kick it into high gear, but remember--it takes quite a lot to defeat Voldemort. Thanks for the review!

Can't wait for more Snape! I really like how you established your world, your OCs, and now that the reader is comfortable in it, you introduce key canon characters. Whom you characterize so well. I'm also extremely impressed with how well the plot fits together! And we still have some mysteries... those mysterious robes, for one... Can't wait to read more!

Author's Response: Hehehe... I do like my mysteries. Hopefully they will all fit together in the end!

Thanks for the review!

Uh-oh. Last chapter and this Snape's kinda reading like he's not on the good side *gulp*. But his patronus *is* still the doe... So much to think about!
This comes as no surprise, of course, but I love the way you write Snape too. He's another character who's - in my opinion - really hard to pull off, and you're doing a marvelous job!

Author's Response: Mwahah so much mystery! And thanks! I really have a hard time with him, so kind words are great to hear!

Thanks for the review!

Nooooooooooooooooo... There's... no... Next... button... :( And judging by your chapter notes it might be a while... But this chapter was, as always, really cool. The suspense is great - I can't believe there's at least one serious Death Eater (maybe two!) at school! And the dynamic between Palmyitor and Snape is interesting - is she really in love with him, I wonder, or what's the story. Does she maybe know about Lily? I can't wait to find out! Oh, and the thought of so many more chapters to come just makes me indecently happy. I'll try to be more constructive in future reviews. But so far, there's really not a thing I would change. Your storytelling is amazing.
It must be. It's 9:15 A.M. and I haven't been to bed. Thank Merlin for summer vacation, I suppose... I can't wait for your next update!

Author's Response: Haha wow! What a whirlwind night of reading! That must have been crazy!

Thanks for the review! Answers will definitely come! I can't speak for the next chapter, but I'm flying back to the States soon. So hopefully once I'm in a somewhat normal timezone I can work on it with my beta!

It's so short! *sniff* Brilliant, otherwise though! I really liked this chapter! You really see more of Lottie and Andrea's characters! Will we find out what the Death Eaters were doing at the school, though? I can't wait to know!
And it was great how Lottie saved Andrea. It was so brave but it was still realistic that an 11-year-old had done it! I can't wait for the next update!

Author's Response: Haha sorry I couldn\'t add any more to this chapter. ^^;;

Well, the Death Eaters didn\'t really know they were near the school. They can\'t see the school, because the Secret Keeper never told them where it was. They know that the school exists, but they just can\'t see it.

Thanks so much for your review!

Hmmm... somehow this story got deleted from my favorites, and I can't put it back... *confused*. But in any case, great chapter, now I've finally read it! The more I see of her, the more I like Palmyitor. Also, I loved the bit about the different perceptions of cowardice - Lottie and Andrea are such compatible characters! And both are really interesting OCs. Plus, the plot continues to get more and more complicated, and brilliantly so! I wonder what Palmyitor saw about Andrea in the file... and I wonder about those robes and the snakeskin, still. :D Great fic! Update sooooon!

Author's Response: O.o that\'s odd. Maybe it\'s a glitch having to do with the update.\r\n\r\n

Ah thanks so much for the review!

Oh man, Lottie. Is it so hard? :D I suppose for her it is, isn't it and that just adds depth to her character. Wonderful how you bring that out, as well as Andrea's insecurity so well... Really good! Anyway... eek... so many traitors... I wonder what'll happen next and how everything will progress. More traitors? And how did the Death Eaters reach the students? Update soon!

Author's Response: Hahaha thank you so much! I\'ve been working hard to develop their characters some more.

Ooh there are some interesting things coming up. Usually the Death Eaters reached the students through the other students who were Death Eaters. The first students were approached when they were visiting the camps.

Thanks so much for your review!

Aw. That's so sad! Poor Andrea! This chapter was great though - I like seeing more of Colm. I'm still hoping he'll be redeemed eventually, in Lottie's eyes! The ending was really sad, and your writing really made Andrea's grief real. Update soon, I can't wait to find out what happens next!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! Colm will play a larger role as the story goes on, don\'t worry. ^^ I\'ll update as soon as I can, but I\'m not making any promises because I still have eleven more applications to turn in! Agh!

Thanks so much for the review!

Answers! :D I love how you answer bits and pieces while still introducing new suspense and keeping the old questions very much alive. Wonderful combination and it makes for a very creative and intricate plot! Plus the characters are brilliant, of course! Update soon! I can't wait to read more!

Author's Response: Ahh thanks so much! I love to hear things like that because it\'s what I\'m working so hard to do. Thank you so much for the review!

Really, really good story! This sounds exactly like the real thoughts of a confused, unpopular girl. wonderful job. you portrayed the character perfectly!

Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m not sure why I did it that way -- it just started off like that and seemed to fit.

Yay another In the Eyes of Others excerpt. Poor Lily. Something about her dislike for Slughorn makes me wonder about her family and her life away from Hogwarts... Why isn't this brilliant one-shot on the list of Severus In Profile fics, though? It's really good! Your writing is great as always and your characterization of Lily and her fears - of growing up and losing friends and just being sixteen as you put is great!

Author's Response: Lily in Profile? Maybe it should be on the list, at that. He\'s not onscreen much, but he\'s certainly taking up a lot of space all the same. Thanks!

It Wasn't Supposed to End Like This by Ginny_W

Summary: The end of the war comes, but is it an ending all can live with?
Reviewer: Valentinia Signed
Date: 09/23/06 Title: Chapter 1: The Ending

Interesting. I can definately see that being what Hermione's thoughts would look like if she were the only surviving member of the trio. I like how you indirectly and yet succinctly characterize her through her feelings. I do think it's likely that a few more than seven people would survive (if you've got the whole Order fighting, at least) but the tiny amount did work well with your story. All in all a very praise-worthy piece.

His Eyes Were Black by SiriuslyMental

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Was he always evil? A little something I wrote in my spare time about Severus Snape.
Reviewer: Valentinia Signed
Date: 09/09/06 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

What a great take on both Dumbledore and Snape's characters!! I love how Dumbledore indeed has (as he told Tom in HBP) the knack of remembering students as they once were. Also, "My death, his redemption" is a great sentece. Obviously, it sounds quite contradictory, but it makes perfect sense. The way it starts and ends with "his eyes were/are black" is really good, too.

Just a few nitpicky things. At the beginning you wrote "surely" instead of "surly", and also, the way you've written it it sounds like Dumbledore knew Peter was the secret keeper, but he couldn't have, since he was the one who told the Ministry that Sirius had been.

Otherwise - a good characterization and collection of thoughts. Dumbledore is IC, too. :D

Cliché Nation by just_the_contrary

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: A compilation of the most commonly used Harry Potter clichés in the fandom. Features Angsty!Harry, Sweet!Draco, Head Dorms, sudden romances in the forms of Ron/Hermione, Harry/Ginny and of course, Draco/Hermione, because what's a cliché without them?

The Marauders also make an appearance in this fic, including Lily/Lily's best friend/Lily's other best friend.

Warning: mention of hippopotamuses inside.

The Things We Do For Love by Kerichi

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary:

After her first kiss with Ron, Hermione asks Ginny for advice. What follows is a lesson in the things we do for love.

This three part story was written pre-HBP, when the future looked, if not exactly rosy, at least not that dreadful shade of Lavender that coloured the Potterverse in the sixth book.

* Rated for snogging ^_~*

He lost at chess for her! That is true love! :D It's so sweet, how everyone in your fics always has a romance! Loved "Dick and Jane"! The cutest, though, of course, are Ron and Hermione! I love that they just kissed in the tree house without even saying anything! Cute! And I love Ginny's advice! :)

Author's Response: Ron isn\'t the eloquent type, heh, so he says it best non-verbally. Which of course reminds me of a song. ^_~ Alison Krauss, When you say nothing at all.

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me

There\'s a truth in your eyes saying you\'ll never leave me

The touch of your hand says you\'ll catch me where ever I fall

You say it best, when you say nothing at all.
