I am a 32 year old pastor of a small church in rural Alabama. I think Harry Potter has an incredible amount of positives for this generation of children. I have a beautiful wife, who reminds me a great deal of Hermione, and two wonderful daughters, the oldest is 2, the youngest just born. Someday they will read these books with mommy and daddy there to explain all the magic stuff.
Very nice speech for Harry, it sound like something harrynwould say.
Author's Response: Thank you. -N-
TOM RIDDLE – THE SELF-STYLED LORD VOLDEMORT
Editors Note: At the request of the Ministry for Magic this Official Statement issued by the Office of the Minister is produced full and unedited.
OFFICIAL MINISTRY STATEMENT
This official statement has been compiled with the assistance and co-operation of Mr Harry Potter.
“Lord Voldemort†was, in fact a man named Tom M. Riddle, son of a witch, Merope Gaunt and a Muggle, Tom Riddle Senior. The Ministry has decided that in all future official publications Riddle will be referred to by his given name.
There has already been much speculation and wild rumour regarding the events at Hogwarts School. The Ministry can confirm that Tom M. Riddle was killed at dawn on the morning of Saturday, 2 May. Riddle was disarmed by Harry Potter while in the act of firing a killing curse at Mr Potter. The curse killed Riddle rather than its intended target.

WHERE IS HARRY POTTER?
Despite the Official Ministry Statement (published above) we are no closer to receiving an answer to the question on the lips of every witch and wizard in the country. Where is Harry Potter?
It appears that Mr Potter left Hogwarts School early yesterday morning, apparently in the company of his close associates Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley. An attractive young Ministry clerk, who did not wish to be named, told The Prophet “He’s at the Ministry, having an important meeting with the Minister. My friends and I saw him. He asked us out to the pub, but we had to turn him down.†This statement is at odds with a report from the Portkey Office that Mr Potter has fled the country, travelling to Australia with his companions.

The days after the battle were days of grief and mourning. Grave Days.Nice opening moment for Harry at the tomb I a, really enjoying your writing style.
Author's Response: Thank you.
I've read several after the battle stories where the loose ends (like THE ELDER WAND!) are forgotten or ignored. I've tried to tie as much up as I could.-N-
Wow mr weasley somber and playing the protective dad pretty cool.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review.
Arthur has lost a son, and I'm certain that he can, and does, take charge sometimes.-N-
It doesn't fall back into place does it? This is fun seeing the aftermath grat job can't to see what hermione's problem is.
Author's Response: Thanks, I wanted to deal in some detail with the early days because, as you say, things don't simply fall back neatly to how they were before.
-N-
I really like what u do with mr weasley. Great job again
Author's Response: Thank you. JKR said that Mr Weasley was "a good dad" (possibly the only one in the books). I simply tried to reflect that. -N-
This is hard to read in some ways but I think very realistic morose but believable r u going to finish the sequel?
Author's Response: Thanks. I will be continuing Aurors and Schoolgirls, but not soon. I've started way too many chaptered stories, and I'm trying to finish a few of them first. The sixth and final chapter of Moons, and the fifth and final chapter of Haunted House are in the queue, and I have three chapters of Hunters and Prey to write and then it's done, too. I'll get back to A&S after that. -N-
Had to expect Rita would show at some point nice touch
Author's Response: Harry is news, it was almost inevitable. -N-
What a day for Harry and the gang. Good fight scene by the way a couple of chapters ago. Always good to see a little action. Good chapter sad about Snape.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. The fight scene was fun to write. This, three funerals i one day, was a rough one. But not many people would mourn for Snape. -N-
I never thought that perhaps the Grangers would not like what Hermione did. I don't think I agree that what she did was "wrong" but i can understand the reaction and the characterization of it. I hope in the next one, Hermione is back to her old self a bit more.
Author's Response: Altering your parents memories and sending them to Australia is a big thing to do. The much put-upon Grangers have seen little of their teenage daughter and discovering tat she has effectively "mind-controlled" them is a big thing n my opinion. -N-
Wonderful story, hard to read at times but worth the sadness, one of my frustrations with DH was that Hermione didn't get to be Head Girl so bravo on that.
Author's Response: Thanks.I'm glad you liked this tale. In my opinion, any story about the immediate aftermath of the battle must be tinged with sadness, which is equally hard to write. Hermione's appointment seems sensible. -N-
Well I think I have a new favorite story great job I love the idea that arthur knows and observes what is going on around him great job.
Author's Response: Thanks. This is my second most read, and second most reviewed one-shot. The most read is Sleepless Night, the most reviewed Swimsuit Quidditch. If only I knew why.

I always got the impression that Neville had a thing for Ginny really enjoyed this one
Author's Response: Some folks don’t like that part of the story. I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that about Neville.
-N-
Good to see Fred and George keeping busy
Author's Response: They solemly swear that they are up to no good. -N-
What a great story although it's sad the Fred won't see the end of Harry's tail.
Author's Response: Thanks.
Fred will always be a miss.-N-
Again great story this is really fun thanks for all the effort putting this together.
Author's Response: Thanks. -N-
Intriguing opening chapter, looks like ginny's going to have a duke 7th year but of course life is never duke at hogswarts so we will see.
Author's Response: Thanks (I think). :-D
I have no idea what the word duke means in this context. So far as I know Duke, is the next rank down from Prince.-N-
Good chapter interesting about Ginny letting dean get to second base, not sure she would have intend to be a prude about such things
Author's Response: Thanks. Ginny is not perfect, and (in my opinion) she'd always be very protective of Harry's feelings. -N-
Sounds like they need to have a serious chat grat chapter
Author's Response: They do, and they will. -N-
Love what Ron said to Ginny in this chapter. Ron is perhaps my favorite male character so it always good to hear him saying things that are insightful, helpful and wise. Too many fics just use him as comic relief. Good job.
Author's Response: Ron is far from perfect, but he's a lot more than comic relief. He's not stupid, and he does have a certain wisdom that a lot of writers overlook. -N-
It's so hard to write couples. You are doing a great job with Ginny and Harry so far.
Author's Response: Thanks, no relationship goes smoothly, and this one has just encountered a few minor bumps. -N-
