"The Compton Diary" was my first fic - it sort of came up out of the blue, but I'm quite proud of it. After that came "Green," and then "Red," and "Blue", which I'm currently working on. My ambition is to make a Hogwarts Colours Quartet - "Red," "Green," and then Yellow and Blue as well, each a companion piece of the next. The beginning of "Blue" is now up...

I also love movies (the fics "Red" and "Green" were originally inspired by the French "Trois Couleurs" trilogy), drawing, music and theatre, and listening to how people converse, all of which I think tend to influence my fics.

Hey! This is really well written - it was interesting to see Snape in this chapter. Poor Lily - I hope the boys make her feel better!

Author's Response: I'm sure they will...;)

This is great! I love the characterisation - especially Remus', and I think you deal with the subject matter really well. Keep it up!

Author's Response: Thank you! :)

I've been meaning to read this for a while, and I've only just gotten around to it now. I have to say, so far it's fantastic!

I love the perfect balance of dialogue and description, and the plausable back-story. Snape and Lupin are written flawlessly. It's entertaining, gripping, absorbing... I could go on!

So I'm going to keep reading - I can't wait to see what happens next, give you a nice big 10, and add River Styx to my favourites.

Amazing... it's one of my favourites - I just read the entire thing now. It's so original, and really twisty... I would never have imagined that Regulus was "undead." I can't wait for the next chapter!!!

I just read HBP, and dead people are indeed used by Voldemort as his servants! You were right! I love the story!

Hey! I really like this story. I love the dialogue and plot and I think you really stayed true to the characters in the canon. Well done!

That was brilliant! You have such talent (sigh!) Is that the end? I loved the details of Harry - especially at the end - so sad!. The entire sequence in that chapter - the shadows on the wall - was so thrilling. I can't wait to read more of your stuff. I congratulate you!

Author's Response: Yes... It's the end. BUT... There will be companion one-shots and so we'll get to see more of Lily and James. I'm also thinking of doing a one-shot in the "normal" day in the life of Harry. :) Stay tuned.

Hey this is great! You're great at conveying Lily's emotion - I'm gonna be so sad in a few chapters!

Author's Response: Whew! You're not the only one who's going to be sad. I'm already an emotional wreck! Thanks for reviewing!

Great writing... you stayed in character but made it interesting, and you didn't overload it with excessive description. Nice!

Oh my god! That last chapter was amazing! The best version of those events I've ever read - and I loved the last line. Very sad...

Unveiled Secrets by forsakenphoenix

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: “He does the only thing that he can. He tells Harry a story about four boys in school, magic, smoke screens and tricks of light, about a beautiful girl that they'd loved in different ways and a prince without a crown who did everything that he could and nothing that he said he would but was kind and gentle and universally adored.”

Brilliant! I've just read the accompanying fic to this and they're both so good! I like how you show Sirius' vulnerable side - he's definitely not as shallow a playboy as some fics make out (in my opinion). I really admire how you described each character from another person's perspective, and the way it flows through time with each incident.

Definitely two of my favourite fics so far on this site. 10 again!

When Saints Die, The World Stops Spinning by forsakenphoenix

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Hope, loyalty, love, despair, and tragedy. Through it all, Lily discovers the truth about the Marauders, the affable troublemakers who hide behind smokescreens but still glitter in shattered light. They aren't the glorious, graceful men they are often perceived as, but stumbling, awkward boys who are still trying to find their way out of darkness.

Absolutely amazing. Thoroughly absorbing, I have to say - I feel so sad now! I loved the way the story evolved through a period of time without you having to say so - pure genius! Take a 10!

A Dark Day by Dan_D_Lion

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Peter decides to tell someone of his one huge mistake that had started the war. That someone is his mother. Hear on what he has to say.

~Excerpts~

“I told… Ma, promise you won’t stop loving me when I tell you this. Promise me,” he squeezed her hand tight, “I-I told You-Know-Who about James and Lily! I did it!”

~

Peter rolled up his sleeve and looked down at it, “He gave me this you know. You-Know-Who did this to me. Many say that I am lucky to have received such a complement because many just got the mark from Lucius.”

~

R&R please!

Great! I liked the way you injected his memories into his speech. And I thought the ending was really good, but sort of sad, aswell.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for reviewing. Not many people read and review this (in fact, not very many people have even read this). :)

A Road of Shattered Glass by Ennalee

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Three years after Voldemort’s first fall, Tonks and Ninette, a metamorphmagus and a dancer, each struggle to find their own identities apart from the deceptions of mirrors. Meanwhile, in the caves underneath Hogwarts, someone may be searching for things better left lost.
Reviewer: rockinfaerie Signed

Wow, this is amazing... Both characters are perfectly painted - Tonks' clumsiness and Ninette's shyness are so realistic. I feel so sorry for Ninette - she's so isolated, but then, in her own way, so is Tonks. I can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Thank you! I keep saying (erm, writing) this, but I keep meaning it. It is so easy to read a story and walk away without doing anything (I'm guilty of this far too often) - and leaving a review can do so much to brighten an author's day. Thank you for bothering to write something - and for your kind remarks.

I've been reading this faithfully, and this is fabulous. In the first chapters, the jokes and banter were really entertaining, but at the same time it was layered with fear - you've got great skill! That last chapter was sad, but it was nice to see for once Peter not being portrayed as total scum, but with his own thoughts, feelings and regrets. I thought the part where "Peter" died and Wormtail remained was a really good idea - and very sad too. Top marks!

Author's Response: I'm glad that you like my ideas. I felt that I really needed to partray how regretful Peter would be; and rightly so; thus I added the quote at the end which I just love. Yeah, this is very angsty, and there is much more angst to come, but a little humour in the earlier chappies. Thankyou for the fab review!

Oh, and by the way, you can review my fics if you like!

Author's Response: Definately! When I next have some spare time Ill read some of your work! And Ill be happy to leave a review!

Brilliant. BRILLIANT!

Stuff I read doesn't usually make me so sad... but I'm so upset right now - I feel so sorry for poor Remus. The only thing that can do that is perfect writing. Perfect. I can't wait to read the next chapter.

I love this fic!

Author's Response: Whoo... you love it! Next chappie in queue. I'm sorry I made you sad, but you know, it's a sad series of Canon to work with!

Amazing... amazing... This is one of the best Marauder fics I've read - it's so in character, yet original. I loved the way you focused on the moon for each chapter - a lot of fics don't acknowledge it's importance to Remus. I hope to read more from you!

The end is so sad - it's so tragic. Perfect though. 10.

Author's Response: Thankyou for saying that it was in character, I try extremely hard to keep people in character. The moon names are the old english phases of the moon, one for each month, and the chapter titles match up with the month that they take place in. You shall be reading more from me (if you read it that is). I have several one shots and a prequel and sequel to this fic in the works.

Hey great story! I love the way you incorporate the tension of such a time, and Sirius' nightmare was really scary! It'squite sad really, when you think of what's going to happen next... :(

Author's Response: Thankyou! I'm glad that you like it. I know, it is a very sad ending. I almost cried writing one chapter. How lame is that?
