I solemnly swear I am up to no good…
12 January 2008:
I'd like to wish a happy new year to everyone and, regrettably, inform you that I won't be writing a lot of fanfiction anymore. I don't have the time to contribute to it anymore and what time I do have I would like to put towards writing something original that hopefully you will all see on a Borders shelf someday. "Of the Cursed" will be deleted, and you can consider Harry's adventure to continue in a canon-like fashion from the end of "Cruciatus Cursed" onward. I'm so sorry, but thank you for your support, and I'm glad to have pleased you with most of my works. : )
Hello to you, fellow Harry Potter fans. I am Miss Moony, and welcome to my profile. There isn’t much to say about me, nor do I care to say a lot about myself anyway, so here are the important things that you might need to know for future reference if you care to read my stories:
I write only the following ships: Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Remus/Tonks.
My favourite characters are Remus Lupin (bet you never could have guessed), Sirius Black, and Snape.
My least favourite characters are Voldemort (go figure) and Dumbledore (I have my reasons).
My favourite HP books are Prisoner of Azkaban and Order of the Phoenix
Patience is a virtue that I do not possess. Therefore, if I can update quickly, trust me when I say I will.
I answer all reviews I receive. Period.
If you are bored and care to read an excellent fiction, may I suggest Nuw255, Tagidi Riva, Abbs866, or weasleybabe24? They are fantastic.
That’s about all at the moment, so I hope you enjoy my fictions and that you will leave a review if you have some time. I would really appreciate it. Below are some quotes that you may peruse for fun at your leisure if you are bored enough (as I collect a good many of them), and the banner for my first posted fiction, “Cruciatus Cursed”.
If you actually read this without getting bored and taking a break halfway through, then coming back to it later, I shall be quite impressed.
~Miss Moony

Glad that you are finally back! As for the chapter, um... wow? It was a bit overwhelming for me; so much information to process! It was excellent, though! I just hope that Harry will be alright... well, only time will tell, no? Thank you so much for the update and I sincerely hope that the next will not be too far off. Until next time,
~Moony
Author's Response: I was worried that the last bit of the chapter was a little heavy-handed. I was just eager to get things moving again and disseminate that information all in one go so it wouldn\'t have to be revisited. Also, I felt that clearly establishing Eva\'s role was important to do during her first appearance, otherwise she\'d just be hanging there, seemingly directionless. But I\'m glad that you still liked it. I\'m afraid that there will a few more heavy Light/Dark Magic theory chapters coming up as poor Harry needs to start catching up with the plot. Thanks so much for sticking with this story and taking the time to leave a review! :)
Another hilarious chapter that was well worth the wait. Thanks! The gayness was a bit... odd, but funny indeed. Great job!
~Moony
Author's Response: well i\'m sorry you find gayness odd, but i\'m glad you enjoyed the chapter
That was absolutely wonderful. I am surprising myself with not asking for a sequel; it would never be able to stand up with this in a thousand years. Such an excellent story... too bad it is over. Great job and I hope to see more from you soon!
~Moony
Author's Response: *dances* I\'m so happy you enjoyed it! This story has meant a lot to me for a lot of different reasons. I\'m sad to see it end. I do hope you\'ll come back and read the prequel!
That was beautiful, hun. I nearly cried at the end. I absolutely love this story and am glad that it ended so well! Thanks for an awesome fic and I hope to see many more from you. Good luck!
~Moony
Author's Response: thank you so much! i really appreciate your many words of praise throughout this story and i\'m glad i could write something that you found touching. there will be more stories...indeed there will be...
but for now i\'m glad you enjoyed this one so! *hugs* thanks again, Moony!
I just had to say that I read this again and still love it! And in case you didn't get my e-mail, yes, I would be honored to beta for you. Thanks and I hope to see more great stories soon!
~Moony
Author's Response: yay! i\'m glad you still like it so much. and thanks again for agreeing to beta for me. i need someone who\'s familiar with this story to beta the sequel! thanks again!
~Theresa
That was great. I was tearing up right at the end there. Brava; too hawt! I can't believe it is almost over. Wonderful; purely wonderful. I hope your back feels better, hun.
~Moony
Author's Response: oh Moony, you are too sweet! thank you so much! i\'m glad you enjoyed this story and i was able to write something that affected you positively ( i hope). and my back is feeling a bit better too!
thanks again for such a wonderful review!
That was awesome. I always loved Remus the Sensible! (Part of the reason for my name!) I can't believe Lily... it wasn't Sirius' fault! Anyway, I can't wait for the next chapter!
~Moony
Author's Response: Lily just wants someone to blame. ;) I didn\'t even know this chapter *had* been accepted...I had to log out to check, and yup, I could see it...
Well, Nuw, I have to say one thing: I LOVE YOU, YOU DIDN'T KILL REMUS, I LOVE YOU!!!!!!! *e-hugs* =D You rock.
...Ehem. Anyway.
That was absolutely fantastic, a perfect way to end the story. Actually... can I tell you that I thought before that she was going to turn her wand and kill him? Abby was freaking out, but when I read it, that was the first thought that popped into my head.
Wow. Hehe, yeah, I am just that good. ;D Anyway, I hate to see the end but you definitely made it a great one. I can't wait to see more, and even perhaps a sequel if you are feeling gutsy? =) Anyway, thanks for the fantastic story and I'll talk to you soon, I hope. Take care =)
~Miss Moony^^
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Moony! I\'m really glad you liked the ending. And you must know me too well if you were able to guess what Ginny was going to do so easily.
I have no plans to write a sequel to this story. Writing \'Almost Me Again\' has taught me that it\'s hard to write a good, interesting post-Voldemort story (which is why that one languished partially completed on my hard drive for about a year before I really made myself work on it). The good news is that my next project can now go forward. It\'s called \'Betrayed by the Most Faithful,\' and you, my friend, have had the privilege of seeing the story banner many moons ago. I just hope I can do the idea justice.
Thank you for all your support and kind words over the course of the last year, Moony. It really means a lot.
~Nuw
I'm so sorry for being so late on this, but I have been busy with finals and some family... stuff. Yeah, we'll call it that^^ Anyway, another perfect chapter and I can't wait for the next!!!!! And I'm so happy that everything is going well for you and your family. I hope everything stays that way^_^
~Miss Moony
Author's Response: Thanks, Miss Moony; it\'s good to hear from you. I really can\'t complain about tardiness considering how long it\'s taking me to get chapters up these days. But anyway, I\'m glad you liked the chapter, and I hope your family stuff has been resolved to your satisfaction. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
My apologies once again for my seemingly continuous lateness. I'm starting to be scheduled to work every day and come home dead tires, so I decide not to read. I figure that you, as well as this story, deserve my full attention.
It was fantastic, as usual. I really liked how you chose to make the duel with Harry and Voldemort; it made sense. It is intriguing how he didn't use some form of Dark Magic to heal himself, as well as his Death Eaters now using a great many Unforgivables. That should be interesting, methinks, in the future. And kudos to Jarius for being as wonderfully awesome in each chapter.
That's about it, as I will spare you another "amazing". Like you didn't know it was coming anyway. I hope that everything goes alright and that the next chapter can come soon. Take your time though, and HBD again. I hope to be on time for the next one: dead, seemingly-dead, or hyper-as-can-be.
~Miss Moony
Author's Response: Not to worry, Moony; I love your reviews whenever they come. I\'m really glad you liked the duel between Harry and Voldemort. It\'s always bothered me that the bad guys always seem to heal faster than the good guys, so I decided that if the hospital hasn\'t been able to heal Aberforth yet, then the Death Eaters ought not have been able to heal their master yet. Take care of yourself, Moony.
~Nuw
Ooh, Sneaky!Harry and Sneaky!Ginny are quite entertaining! Hee. And of course Ron is a genius! Watch, he is proably smarter than Hermione but doesn't want to show it in canon! Or not. ; P Poor Ron. Love this chapter. So hawt.
~Moony
Author's Response: I love Ron, and he gets abused way too much by fanfiction writers. He\'s actually quite an intelligent fellow, especially when it comes to practical (rather than classroom) situations. Of course, he can still be rather clueless at times.... ;-)
Yup, coolest detention ever! But I wouldn't know for sure. I have never been in detention! Woohoo! And that was so sweet with Harry and Ginny. Too sweet!!!!!!!! And Jarius scared me a bit, just now. He was sorta... Umbridge-ish for a mo'! *shivers* Yeah, that was what it was. Sweet chapter!
~Moony
PS-I am almost caught up!
Author's Response: Yay! Congrats on your catching up! I agree that Jarius was a bit Umbridge-ish at the beginning of class. Sadly, he\'s a very inexperienced teacher who hasn\'t quite figured out how to control a class without using fear as his main tool at least part of the time. Even so, though, he wouldn\'t have done the whole \"wands away\" thing if he had known a little more about Umbridge\'s reign of terror.
Oh my! I forgot to add this: is Snape going to be back in this fic? Or not? Who knows?! Oh, you do. Is he, though? We need some payback for Harry!
~Moony
Author's Response: Snape will definitely re-appear later on. As for whether or not Harry will get any payback... you\'ll just have to wait and see. Sorry. Aren\'t I just so NICE to give you a response like that? ;-)
Since I can't review an unvalidated chapter (gr) I will say that I hope it is up soon! And, by the way, I can't return your e-mails. I got it back when I responded. Ah well. Thanks for the news, Nuw (haHA!) and here's to fast validation!
~Moony
Author's Response: Thanks, Moony. I\'ll let you know when I get around to getting a new e-mail account. This is getting ridiculous. Anyway, it\'s good to hear from you, and I\'m keeping my fingers crossed as well!
Thanks for the tip about the snakes. I think I will just have to grin and bare it. Like I would skip a chapter! Psh. Nu-uh. Nope. A teddy bear... I need to dig that out of my closet for that to work. As I don't feel like getting killed in an avalanche of my things, I dunno if I have the guts to try that! ; ) Well, here's hoping that the next is up soon since a lot of H/G is validating today! (Mine is up!!!! Squeee!) Good luck! Can't wait for more. Snakes. *shivers*
~Moony
Author's Response: Hehe! I\'m glad you don\'t plan on skipping a chapter, but don\'t say I didn\'t warn you. And I read your H/G one-shot. It was great. I left you a review. :-) I also left the first review on your new D/A one-shot. I feel special. You should too! :-)
HOLY CRAP NUW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You weren't kidding. Wow. Just wow, Nuw!^^ Very good though. And you didn't get my hopes up. I was hoping that that wasn't really him, so I'm good here ^_~ That was just excellent! And the battle wasn't terrible with violence or anything, so I'm very happy that it wasn't rejected. Thanks for another great chapter and talk to you soon! ~Miss Moony : )
Author's Response: Thanks, Moony! Yeah, I know I wasn\'t getting YOUR hopes up, you Dumbledore hater. ;-) Anyway, I\'m very glad you liked it.
I would be more concerned if I didn't already know that you are a sucker for happy endings and, therefore, wouldn't kill off Harry or send Ginny to Azkaban. ^^ Anyhoo, great chapter, that I am on time for may I add! Poor Harry at the beginning, though. I laughed so hard at that section. Your version of Harry is so dear.
I can't wait for a new chapter and will see you later (as it is late and should technically already be asleep but stayed up to read this)!!!!!
~Miss Muh-hoony
Author's Response: Thank you, Miss Moony; I feel extra special. See, I can\'t build any suspense with you! Oh well; I guess that\'s what I get for letting you get to know me. ;-) I\'m glad you liked the beginning -- at one time, I really worried that that would be my reaction after getting married (thankfully, it was not). Take care, get lots of sleep, and work on CC when you can! :-)
That was an awesome chapter, Nuw! I was too busy to read it earlier, but I finally found a minute. That was great. I was starting to get scared about what Ginny might do to Jarius, though. Quite the hothead, she is!
“Hell has officially frozen over - Harry Potter is friends with a Slytherin.”
I love that line!!!! It was just too cool. And kinda true, if you think about it. Somehow, I figured that he would be a Slytherin. Just call it my sixth sense. My seventh is sensing when there is someone standing behind me. My eighth is knowing that there are cookies in the house. That is true. Hehehe. I am such a dork. ; ) And darn proud of it!
Now that that tangent is over…
Little Harry is so cute! I can see that actually happening as well. A bit of Polyjuice Potion and BAM! Nine year old Harry-type-person. : D And, very clever with another archway. Actually, it would be a very god guess that there will be an archway with every Horcrux. Ya never know. ; P I nearly panicked with the snake, though. I can’t stand them; I freak out whenever I see one. I know that Hermione can be a bit overbearing, but you wouldn’t kill her, right? Right? RIGHT?!
You know, I think this is one of my longest reviews! Woohoo! Yeah, well, anyway: Thanks for another great chapter and I hope you update as soon as school allows you to!
~Moony
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Moony! I\'m really glad you enjoyed this chapter. Ginny\'s line about hell freezing over is turning out to be quite popular -- I\'m glad I thought of it. (And for once, I can say that without a bit of sarcasm.)
Just a bit of a warning for you, Moony: If the snake in this chapter freaked you out, you might want to hug a teddy bear or something while you read the next chapter. That\'s all I\'m saying. Well, that and the fact that one scene in the next chapter reminds me a little bit of Raiders of the Lost Ark -- and I\'m sure you know how Indiana Jones feels about snakes. ;-)
About the updates: I\'ve actually written a lot of this story (at least 30 chapters), but I haven\'t worked on it for quite a while because I\'ve been busy with A Past Reclaimed. There\'s much more danger of you guys catching up to me on that one, so I\'ve been devoting all my writing time to it lately. Don\'t worry, though; I\'ll make sure to start back up on this one in plenty of time to keep you all from catching up to me. :-)
Ooooh! 'Tis the return of Angsty!Harry! Buahahahaha! He was amazingly IC, though. I was shocked; most people that try to portay him like this add in a lot of unneeded cursing. Well done! ooh, some H/G-ness! Yay!
~Moony
Author's Response: Thank you! I really shy away from all but the mildest cursing, so there\'s nothing to worry about there. I\'m glad you found him to be IC. Thanks for reviewing!
Okay, it may just be the fact that I have a lot going on right now and am a bit stressed, but I started cursing at that cliffhanger, Nuw. Rather loudly and colourfully, in fact. I'm glad my dad wasn't around at the time.^^ That would have been messy.
Great chapters that I wish I had been on time for! Poor Ginny. I thought she was going to murder Dumbledore in the last chapter. Hehehe. Goats.
Anyhoo, I hope the next one is up soon before I die from suspense!
~Miss Moony
Author's Response: Sorry about the cliffie, although it really shouldn\'t have been cause for swearing. ;-) [Granny voice] What sort of conduct is that for a young lady, anyway? [/Granny voice]
It\'s probably not much consolation, but I submitted the next chapter immediately after this one was approved. Hopefully it will be approved more quickly than usual.
I hope everything in RL is going all right. Take care of yourself.
