My rewrite of CD is finally, truly underway. I have a tentative outline worked out for the next several chapters and I'm working on chapter 2 right now and when I finish that I intend to continue onward to chapter 3 and so on until I have to take a break for food, a shower, sleep and to work on schoolwork and two other projects. I'm hoping to have chapter 2 finished before I get up for supper, and it is 334 as I write this. Wish me luck, folks - I'll keep you posted.
Unfortunately, I still cannot post any of the chapters here because my chapters are still too long. So anybody who wants to read this story, head over to fanfiction.net or my Yahoo Group.

:) That was beautiful. The image of Hermione and Luna standing side by side - and dressed the way they were - is incredibly amusing and well-written. And the thing Hermione and Luna teach him is incredibly powerful and very well done.

When you first had Goyle switched to Gryffindor, I was both surprised and impressed. But when you had everyone in Gryffindor either ignoring him or being outright cruel to him, I was really, really annoyed. The 'Noble, Valiant' House certainly was not living up to its name- which, sadly, is probably how things would go if a Slytherin was to switch into Gryffindor. Oh, how the barriers crumble... I'm glad they're finally smartening up a bit. Incredibly realistic portrayal of events, and excellent writing. Ten! ~*~LIZ
What's he going to tell him?!?
I'm bursting with curiosity, you evil cliff-hanger writing person. Are the Dursley's being paid to keep Harry by some trust fund the Potters or DD set up? Why is Vernon so angry? I wanna know... :( Incredibly well done, and even better, incredibly likely-to-actually-happen story. One of the few I've seen that might actually happen in JKR's series, my own included. Keep 'em comin'!
Absolutely beautiful. It's in character while still showing a depth and vulnerability in Hermione, which is not seen to a great extent in the cannon series. Anxiously awaiting your next piece....

Author's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to review! I agree that Hermione is a vulnerable character, and it saddens me how many readers tend to forget it. She's not an omnicent being, she's an emotional teenager who isn't quite in control of everything. I try very hard to show her as she really is.
I am working on a new story, though it does not center around Hermione. I don't intend to post anything until I further with it (a lesson I learned from my first fan fic), but it will go up sometime. Thank you again for taking the time to review my story! Reviews make my day!
Wow. Jeez. That was powerful. I should have known that was Hermione, though - she was perfect. "Wild chipmunks could eat your ankles" and "Do you have a toothbrush?" should have been dead giveaways... I just wasn't expecting it. A little slow today. Well done. :)

I hope you're going to continue this.... It has potential! :) I wonder, though... is the cat really just a cat, or is it our favorite Transfiguartions professor? ~*~LIZ
Are you by any chance going to citinue this story? I want to see Harry working with Remus and Tonks. It'd be great. :) ~*~LIZ
