HAHAHAHA that was funny. I loved the modern major general one. I know the tune well because my dad will sing randomly.

I am a huge fan of your work. I used to not like fan fiction untill I read yours. I really like how you include all the information about all of your characters and not just Molly and Arthur. Thank you for putting your time and effort into this story.

Author's Response: Wow! I can\'t begin to express how flattered I am, thank you so much!

Ummmm Hello!!! Where have you been??? Please don't desert this story it is beautiful!! I loved Arthur in this one. He finally knows that Molly loves William. I liked his attempts with Roses are red. Only Arthur would try to write parodies of Muggle poems.

When You Were Mine by freakanature06

I like it I think the slash is unnecessary I do not think it adds to the poem.

True Words of Wisdom by Phoenix5225

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Written in response to Magical Maeve's marvelous New Year's prompts. I chose the Roman goddess of wisdom for my story, for reasons I, at least, find quite amusing, given her name. This is for Hufflepuff House (participation points only).

So She Dances by Starmaiden

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: After the Yule Ball, Neville goes back to the Great Hall to retrieve his coat. Instead, he finds Ginny Weasley, dancing with no partner but her sadness.
Reviewer: Great Beirniny Signed
Date: 07/18/07 Title: Chapter 1: So She Dances

You're story is really great. My favorite part is:

After a few minutes, Neville heard her give a little choking sound. He did the only thing he could think of and pulled her into his arms to let her cry on his shoulder. She was a wonderful girl, and he would be there for her, though he would never ask her out. He held her for a long time.

I think that it's really sweet. Especially that Neville is there for her and obviously likes her, but knows that he will never be able to date her. This shows that Neville wants her to be happy even though he might not be included in her happiness.

I don't have any suggestions. It was that good.
It makes me want to go buy the song.

Author's Response: Aw, thank you! I got to explore a lot of Neville recently, and I really like what I found. I love that song -- you should definitely check it out.

The Pied Piper of the Black Forest by butter_beer_drinker

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed. -G. K. Chesterton

Can the hero slay the "dragon" that hunts his little girl and haunts his nightmares?

This is submitted for my final assignment in Professor Talons DADA: An Introduction to Dark Arts class.

I am proudly saluting you with the sword of Godrick Gryffindor.

A small warning, this story terrified me (and my beta) and made me cry. Read it with caution but please read it.

Awwwww that was sad. I liked how Harry said too at the end even though I think it was the saddest line. I was expecting Catherine to die, but Harry going mad like that Wow. Was that lullaby Baby Mine from Dumbo?

Author's Response: Yes it was and when my little girl broke her arm and had to have surgery at the children's hospital, it was playing in the "holding" room after her surgery.  I got to hold her in a rocking chair while she woke up.  Since I wrote this story the next day, it was fresh in my memory and I wanted it in the story and I figured Mr. Weasly would give them something like an enchanted muggle radio.  I also think the "too" is the saddest line, it gets me every time.

Harry Potter for People with Short Attention Spans by ChAsErKeLlY

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Haikus in a set

Syllables five-seven-five

One for each chapter

Ever wonder what the Harry Potter series would be like if it were one huge poetry book? You did? But....Did you ever think that someone would be smart enough (or crazy enough, or have so much time) to make it into haikus? If you have, or haven't but you're now interested, you have to read this!

Mods, this is NOT abandoned, though I have been taking time with it. I'm working on it currently, though I'm not having much success.

Happily Ever After by laurskii

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: In the midst of the woods, a clearing is visible, occupied by a small, secluded cottage, covered in the glistening snow. A wrought iron fence encloses the frostbitten garden, but in the back, the gate has been left open. A single line of footprints mark a path from the back of the house, through this gate, and towards an ice-covered trio of headstones.

Here, a trembling man kneels, his head in his hands...

We All Fall Down by coppercurls

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: A Rondeau poem about fighting the losing battle.

"Nevertheless, Harry, while you may only have delayed his return to power, it will take someone else who is prepared to fight what seems a losing battle next time -- and if he is delayed again, and again, why he many never return to power." Sorcerer's Stone, p298

By coppercurls of Hufflpuff house for the rondeau poetry challenge.

Date: 06/29/07 Title: Chapter 1: We all fall down

It's great I really like how your refrain flows so well with the rest of the poem.

Author's Response: Thank you very much. The refrain is a part of the Rondeau style, and can be somewhat difficult to work in in a way that makes sense to the poem. I\'m glad you thought it worked out.

Recklessness by Hypatia

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Molly Weasley decides to share an event from her girlhood with Ginny and Hermione.

It was great I love little compaion pieces to big stories it lets you see what happened later without killing the suspence. I'm sorry that you had to kill someone off. It was still great.

Author's Response: Thank you! I was really worried about how this piece came across and am now breathing a sigh of relief!

A Woman Scorned by Hypatia

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: She offered him her love and he rejected her. She had been willing to offer him anything but he destroyed all that she held dear. However, a daughter of the house of Black does not sit idly by, wallowing in self-pity. No, she bides her time and strikes when he is weakest.

I was great I loved the connection on how she gave him the name Lord Voldemort. I hope that you write a companion piece or chapter. I wonder what Alphard did beside giving Sirius gold. Keep it up!

Author's Response: If you ever watched Gargoyles (I was a huge fan years ago) there\'s an episode where a character says \"No her? I named her!\" I have to admit that was running through my head when I wrote that. I will definitely write more about Alphard but it won\'t be submitted until after August 1. Thanks for the review!

Go Be My Hero by LilykinsLove

Reviewer: Great Beirniny Signed
Date: 07/17/07 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Hey that story is great. I really like that you have Ginny sacrifice herself for Harry. Not that I'm glad that she dies, but I like that it shows how much she really loves him. Great job and congrats on your first fic!

Author's Response: Meek! Sorry about that, but Ginny\'s still alive. I should have made that more clear... I\'ll got back and see what I can do. Thanks for the review though, and I\'m glad you liked it!!
