Great to know that Percy has finally realised his folly. Awesome chapter! Why don't you respond to reviews?

Author's Response: I am VERY sorry I haven't responded to any reviews. I just felt that my updates were self-explanatory most of the time, so I didn't. Thank you so much for reviewing, and for pointing this out, Dumbledore Prince. Percy realizing his folly was one of my favorite parts to write, so I am glad you enjoyed it!

There were tears welling up in my eyes as I read the Harry and Dumbledore conversation. Very touching (sad smile) Excellent job.

Great chapter!

Smooth sailing for Harry and Co ... but I think they will meet obstacles pretty soon. After all, there's a possibility that Mundungus Fletcher stole the locket and sold it. *gulp*

Hope you can post the next chapter as soon as possible! :D

Wow! Great chapter! I hardly expected the trio to throw the locket into the fire. Ironically, the most complex of problems turn out to have the simplest of solutions. To give you a suggestion, you can have a few twists and turns for the other Horcruxes.

If you don't mind me saying this, I think it was a *little* predictable. Maybe that's because I'm reading more than three Book 7 fics right now. And the interaction with Aberforth seemed a little rushed, but it's not a big thing. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him!

I have a technical nit-pick:
He stepped carefully forward into the dank, dim, crammed apartment. I don't think 'crammed is commonly used in Britain. 'Cramped' would be a better susbstitute.

I'm sorry for not mentioning this earlier: thank you for adding my story Snape's Folly into your favourites and adding my name to your favourite authors' list! :D

~Mini.

P.S.: If you're wondering why this review is so long and I'm nit-picking so much; it's been a recent obession of mine. I'd like to apologise for the one-liners that I left you in the beginning; I agree that it was very foolish and stupid of me.

Author's Response: I\'m used to one-liners, it\'s cool. Thanks for this nice, long review--you care so much as to leave one, that\'s great! I\'m guilty of one-liners, too. I loved Snape\'s Folly, and unfortunately every time I try to read one of your other fics all the way through, something happens and I can\'t! I promise, I\'m going to read the others soon, and spread the word when I can. You\'re SO right about the \'crammed\' thing. I\'ll change it when I have the opportunity. Yeah, I figured it was predictable. That\'s why I wanted to skip the chapter in the first place, plus it was so difficult to write this chapter. I\'m going to aim for more time with Aberforth, with another Horcrux...I think I know where to put him next. Um, earlier in this fic...the chapter called \'Progress\' I do believe...I metnioned that Horcruxes could be destroyed by being thrown into fire. I was trying, at that point, to decide how to destroy a Horcrux. I was very, very nervous about how to do it, so I finally decided upon both a \'figurative and a literal\' destruction. I go into more detail in that chapter it\'s mentioned in. Some people asked me about Dumbledore\'s injured hand, and didn\'t that happen when he destroyed the ring Horcrux? Well, Dumbledore\'s hand was injured from obtaining the ring, not destroying it, because Harry sees the ring in Dumbledore\'s office before he destroys it, and the Headmaster\'s hand is already hurt. Okay, a long-winded and possibly confusing explanation... Thanks for reviewing, hope you and yours are well, Christine

Very interesting ... though I didn't expect Scrimgeour to be so ... well ... uncouth. So, Ron's going to find out about Voldemort's life in hiding.

Nice plot development in this chapter, Christine!

First off, congratulations on getting Hagrid's accent right in the chapter. I've seen many authors who go wrong in that part or prefer to write his dialogue without indicating his accent, and I'm impressed in the way you stay very close to the books.

Everyone's characterisation was great too. My favourite part has to be the following excerpt ...

“Of course it matters to me–all of this does. And Harry Potter, if you think for one minute that I wouldn’t care about something that greatly affects you, or Ron, or anyone else I know, you don’t know me very well at all.”

The way you portray Hermione's emotional side and her loyalty to Harry in a few sentences.

“Heart…heart…” Ron muttered after taking the poem into his own hands. “Maybe it is his real heart, because it doesn’t seem to be here. How are we going to defile his corpse?”

That was a nice touch. Ron's humorous and witty side is really great to read about, because there are so many fics out there that prefer to portray him as a fool - which he is not. Congratulations on staying in character almost throughout the fic. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next installment, no matter when it comes. Good luck!

- Mini.

Author's Response: Thank you, Mini--your review means so much to me, you can\'t know how much. It\'s good to know that you\'re loyal to my story!

Cool chapter! The best thing about this installment is the subtle jokes, apart from the superb characterisation of course. Those jokes had me laughing like mad ... *grins*

Oh dear, dear ... is Voldemort back at Hogwarts? Well, I've got to read the next chapter ...

... Well, I was kind of right. But, he's possessed McGonagall! This is definitely not good news for the Order ... who knows what he might've come to know ... *swallows*

And so, the Horcrux was in the Basilisk's throat? I didn't feel that the chapter was too graphic; the detail was just right for the rating. I think I smell something really fishy with this particular Horcrux ... I guess we'll have to wait to know more. Good luck with the next chapter, Christine!

- Mini.

Author's Response: Thanks for your reviews, Mini. I suppose you\'re right about the rating being correct. I just thought some people might forget. Something fishy, you say? I have no earthly idea what you\'re talking about...*whistles*. I\'m working on the next chapter today, so hopefully it\'ll be in the queue this week!

Great chapter ... though I thought Harry would get Fawkes.

Author's Response: Well, should Fawkes remain at Hogwarts, Hagrid would be his caretaker. That is all I will say on the matter. ;)

Well, this chapter was good, but perhaps not your best one. That's not to say that I don't like this chapter; the emotions make the reader to connect with the story. Within the chapter, Harry's sorrow at seeing his parents' graves and Dumbledore's single word were the best parts. I liked the ending as well, it was a good mood-lifter!

Surprisingly, the angst in the chapter didn't bother me too much, as you'd given the explanation for it at the very beginning of the chapter.

~Mini.

Author's Response: Thanks for your review--I always love them. I also want to say \'thanks a whole big, ginormous, loving\' bunch\' for nominating this story for \'Best General Fiction.\' I was so thrilled to see that I\'m the first one up there, and that alone fulfilled my purpose as a fic writer. Okay, I\'m being a LITTLE dramatic. But that really did make my day! :) I know this chapter\'s not my best; I knew it wouldn\'t be even before I wrote it. I just felt this filler/fluff necessary to the essence of the story. Glad it lifted your mood! --Christine

AWESOME chapter! I should have asked this ages ago, how on earth is Dumbledore able to "communicate" with Harry? I hope Harry's not hallucinating ... 10/10 (as usual) :)

Please post the next chapter soon.

Author's Response: Okay, I CAN'T. Tried, can't. I'm not sure if you're aware of this or not, but the queue is closed until January 2nd, so there's no way I can post on here till then. I have written the next chapter--it is posted on fan fiction dot net under my same penname, but I may make some definite changes to it before posting it on here. All you have to do is wait. I know waiting is not fun, probably better than most, but it's a fact of life. I've told you, Dumbledore Prince, and the other reviewers (AND it is stated in my personal information section on my MNFF author profile), that my updates will be sporadic from here on out--for personal reasons. I don't owe any of you an explanation. Look, I don't mean to be rude--I REALLY don't. I love my readers/reviewers. All I am asking for is patience. Please, give me that, if anything. - Christine

Good chapter! You've read my FF.net review, so you know the details. I was intrigued by the obvious religious references. I don't mind future references.

First review!

I'll admit it, I read this chapter on FF.net. Couldn't resist!

I like your theories about the Aurors escorting the prisoners from Azkaban. They seem very believable.

Muggle Net! Oh my goodness, I was laughing very hard when I read that! Funny allusion!

Thank goodness, Dung keeps a "record" of all his "business dealings". But I don't know why he would, because most such stuff of his is illegal. That will make his conviction and the Trio's Horcrux hunt much easier, I presume?

Author's Response: Yes, Dung\'s Records (possible title for next chapter) should make it a lot easier--I think I\'ve tortured the trio long enough about this particular Horcrux! As for the Muggle Net thing, I couldn\'t resist the opportunity. I love making readers laugh!
