I alphabatize my socks... you could probably deduce the nature of my entire life from that statement... but here you go anyway.
(...Since finishing HBP I feel the need to vent - excessively. Ok, so here it goes...
1. Everybody seemed OOC (Dumbledore especially)
2. JKR seems to have gotten every bit of everything from CoS (my least favorite of the HP series)
3. Nothing was subtle.
4. It was a time warp, and if I'm not mistaken, they skipped Halloween. (As we all know, there is usually some sort of drastic plot event on Halloween, then we enter a time warp again, and go to the Christmas Holidays)
5. All the analyzing that us H/Hr shippers has been totally disregarded, along with the fact that Ginny gave up on Harry. (I'm still comparing HPB books together to make sure mine's not different from everybody elses)
6. Hermione has shown absolutely no affection for Ron, why is she starting now?
7. The writing style is completely different. (I've heard it was co-written)
8. All the information was handed to us on a silver platter. We did not have to figure anything out for ourselves.
9. There was a shift in the characters social lives. They go from being unsure of the opposite gender, to snogging in public.
10. About a gajillion and three new characters were introduced at once. There was no background information provided after.
11. Background characters were suddenly part of the plot, there were no subtle hints, or anything that suggested that they were involved at all until Dumbledore *sniff* realized it.
12. The trio did not seem united. Ron was snogging Lavender half the time. Hermione was trying to get Ron to notice her (very un-Hermione-ish in my opinion) and Harry spent most of his time with Dumbledore. What happened to the wonder trio? They didnt have to solve anything together, they were handed information by the very OOC Dumbledore...
... I just have to say this: (and I know I'll sound like some know-it-all, but I dont care at this point!) I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH SNAPE!!! I KNEW HE WAS REALLY EVIL!!! I WAS NOT SHOCKED AT ALL WHEN HE STARTED WORKING FOR MOLDY-WART AND HIS STUPID CRONIES!!! I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW IT!!!
... Ok, I'm done with that... sorry...
... How 'bout the things I like about HBP? Ok, here it goes, not sure you care, but anyway...

... According to 'Which ****** are you?' I am most suited for Fred/George Weasley. I am most like Harry Potter. I'm Mrs. Fred Weasly, or Mrs. Sirius Black... disturbing, huh?

I love the part about the Mirror of Erised, and a fanfic that I never posted had Harry looking into the mirror and seeing himself w/ Hermione as well. Urg, Now I'm all creeped out by the snake cliff hanger...

Author's Response: Thanks, I had this idea (before I learned about Horcruxes) about what Voldemort was and how Harry could kill him. Then it was a matter of writing a story that leads up to the final confrontation.

Wow... Just - wow. That was probably the most amazing, imaginative, ... (cant think of a word cool enough for this fic) fic of all times, and that was the perfect ending. Thank you so much for taking the time it must have took you to write such a wonderful piece of art. I have enjoyed reading it so much. I hope that some time in the future you'll write another!

I like. A lot. You write really well, all the characterizations are good. I dont think it was OOC... but, whatever. You did a good job introducing the "problem" while not revealing the entire plot, and you left room for character developement. This is definetly a fanfic to watch like a hawk. Keep updating. I probably wont be able to keep sane for to long if i cant read chapter three! *wink wink nudge nudge*
Im really sorry that I didnt cry... but it was wonderful and sad. Are you H/Hr at all? I liked the ending, but was really sad that Draco died and Hermione couldnt get over it. i loved it anyway... 100/10

Wow! That is possibly the most creative 'Sirius-is-still-alive' idea I've ever seen! Are you one of the people who think that Sirius is still alive? Your story is well written, and I look forward to the future chapters!

I have read HBP again and again. I dont care that my so-called 'ship' was sunk. I dont care that i was called delusional. (I found it amusing, if truth be told) I just want to know what you expected waltzing into a H/Hr Fanfiction area? Did you really expect that we'd all give up and stop writing just because it's not going to happen? Did it ever occur to you that this is FAN FICTION and people are allowed to use their creative licence? Just because we look beyond the 'cannon' evidence to another idea does not mean that we are messed up or delusional. If you're so high and mighty, go write some fanfiction in your own ship, instead of insulting people who actually HAVE writing talent. If somebody said that your ship wasnt going to happen, would you just give up and follow the crowd? Would you stop just because somebody told you to? I'm sorry, but that's pathetic. Next time you choose to review somebody, actually review their story, instead of telling them they should have just given up. If you havent noticed, the Draco/Hermione ship was 'sunk' a long time ago, and its the biggest section in the whole Romance area, and it continues to grow. Those people didnt just sit on the ground and sulk because they were wrong. They kept thinking the way they were, and they kept using their writing talents.

I would just like to add, that a lot of the writers here--including me--write fan fics as preparation for an actual writing career. And I think that I could never write a ship that I didn't support, so I'll stick with Harry and Hermione. Thus, I write Harry and Hermione, because I support all the values that it represents, and because I think it has really helped shape my writing in terms of nearly everything--characterization, plot, etc. And, really, I've just grown so used to the idea, I don't think I could just walz into the H/G ship and feel at home.
Funny, but he had never thought of using the Invisibility Cloak in his schemes to woo Ginny.
I am a devoted (and/or delusional) H/Hr shipper. *Dodges oncoming rotten tomatoes* But I loved this story anyway. i think this is a wonderful fic, and was amazed to find it was only your first. I look forward to any future fics you happen to write!

I also wondered alot when I read that part about what would happen IF... I too saw that as a possible H/Hr moment, before SOMEBODY inturrupted it. I loved this fic, especially the end. I was so glad to see that you wrote it. A million out of ten.
Author's Response: Hi Waddiwasi chik! Thanks for the nice review. I wrote this story to point out that Hermione would have been very upset and might have lashed out at Ron even if she wasn't jealous about Lavender. I think a careful reading of HBP reveals that Hermione was NOT jealous about Lavender at any time. It's going to be a long wait for book 7 but I predict that the Ron-Hermione pairing won't last very long.
