My Stories
A Different View On Love:
(James/Lily/Humour)
After a potions accident, James and Lily switch bodies. However, they need to keep it a secret:- Brewing the potion wasn't exactly in the school rules. Watch how they cope living inside each others skin. For a timeline of this story, go to my livejournal (scroll down for a link).
Take My Hand
(Harry/Ginny)
A one shot focusing on the last day of Harry's life. Inspired by the quote from Les Mis
Take my hand and lead me to salvation. Take my love, for love is everlasting. And remember the truth that once was spoken, to love another person is to see the face of god."
Reflected
(Dark/Angst)
(Also my first fic)
Snape encounters the Mirror of Erised and reflects on what he has become after Lily's death.
Fractured Rules
(Ted/Andromeda)
In traditional Black custom, Andromeda has been following the rules all her life. Will Ted Tonks persuade her to break them all?
Left Behind
A one-shot written with my lovely partner Lurinina. This came first place in the August one-shot challenge on the boards.
Coming Soon
A Different View On Love
Chapter Fourteen: Love Works in the Weirdest of Ways!
There is a portrait who reads too much into something, an apology and a climax. Will Lily admit the truth? Will they switch back bodies? And will Sirius and Alice ever find out?
Beyond that:
Maybe an epilogue :D
Updates / What I'm Writing Now
Tuesday the 5th of November
Remember my last post? Well this is me eating my words. Turns out studying all the time is boring, so I finished chapter 14 of ADVOL as of today it's in the queue.
I am also so happy I came second in QSQ for chaptered romance!
Big thanks also to hestiajones for nominating ADVOL for quick silver quills
About Me
I'm a 17 year old girl from Melbourne who loves random.
On the Beta boards I am Merlin_Helz
I love reading. This is obvious. I'm sure everyone on this site loves reading. I try and read lots of different genes but I'm a sucker for romance. I started reading Harry Potter when I was 11, it seams I have grown up at the same time as Harry.
Writing has been developing into a passion for me. It wasn't a sudden thing, just something that has been building up over time. I have always loved telling stories (my dad once gave me a medal with "My Favourite Story Teller" on it. This had a lot to do with the fact that my sister won lots of medals and I won nothing, but it I like to think he knew from a early age...) and story telling has now developed into passion for writing.
I mainly ship cannon. I can't help it. Harry/Ginny is my favourite, followed by Ron/Hermione. I enjoy James/Lily. I believe Snape had a chance with Lily, but he blew it. I think Lily was never in love with Snape, but she could have been if they had stayed friends. Instead she moved on and ended up in love with James. Recently I feel in love with Andromeda/ Ted and started writing a fic. For some reason I don't mind a bit of Dramione or Harry/Draco.... Don't ask me why...
On MMFF I read romance, as long as it contains adventure, conflict and humour. However, I still enjoy reading other genres, such as Dark/Angst, Marauder era and Post-Hogwarts if I feel like it.
I think it would be fun in MMFF had a random Fic button. Occasionally I just want to read something random. (That has been on my profile for ages, but I actually just suggested it on the forums...)
I love music, playing it and listening to it. Playing music is a great way to relax and cool off, or to just let out frustration.
Ravenclaw and proud of it!

89 Obsessed!
Oh dear, you are unnaturally obsessed with Harry Potter. Your friends and family are worried, but they don't understand you. You constantly re-read your books, stick Harry Potter posters on your walls and trawl the internet for Harry Potter sites. Deep down, you secretly wish Hogwarts was real and that you were actually a wizard. There is hope for you to recover and lead a normal life, but only if you stop wearing those homemade robes.
awwwww
Thats really sweet
Nice job
That was really really well done. It was really beautiful, i loved the way you tied everything together....its all about the little things....
Author's Response: Thanks very much!
Nice job, i especially love the end, with the shooting star. Fred was one of the saddest deaths for me in the book so this fic is special.
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! I miss Fred too. :-(

Nice job, keep up the good work. Especially the part between Ginny and Harry very well written.
*Sniff*
That was such a great story! I Loved the part that Lily played in reaching Harry and the searching for the card, showing how much the kids loved thier Granddad! Well Done!
What an excellent poem, funny and sweet at the same time. I can imagne Mr. Weasly doing that! I really enjoyed it. :)
Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! :-)
Teddy Lupin's first year at Hogwarts. Canon-compliant. Nominated for a 2008 QSQ for best Post-Hogwarts story.
The war is over, and all is well, they say, but the wounds remain unhealed. Bitterness divides the Houses of Hogwarts. Can the first children born since the war's end begin a new era, or will the enmities of their parents be their permanent legacy?
That was so cool!!!!
Love the last line of the song. Can't wait for the next chapter!

What a great story! I loved the way you switched the roles of Lily and James. The ending was just perfect! :)
Author's Response: Hehe, thanks Helz... I usually hate fluff, but couldn't resist here. Glad you liked!
I absolutely adore A/T and this story really does the pairing justice.
I won't write a long review, just a quick message to say I really adored this One-Shot. I especially liked the idea that she welcomed being burned off the tapestry. Nice touch :)
I have no nitpicks & I didn't spy any typos or errors.
Once again great job :)
Oh wow. Just wow.
Rarely do you see a fanfiction which is truly realistic to the state of war. Not everyone has a crazy, daring escape that many people write into their stories and often the people who don't escape are ignored to become another "dead sidekick" type character. Rarely do they get their own thoughts and feelings written down and explained. Like you probably intended, I got sucked into believing that William was escaping with a blaze of glory, until you hit home with that final point- his. It really hammers home the message that in a war, not everyone escapes, but everyone wishes that they could. *Sniff* Poor William never got to see his family, but at least they were the last thing he imagined.
Fantastic piece, shows how versatile that you are with writing. Keep up the good work :)
Author's Response:
Poor William here would be lucky to be a “dead sidekick.” He’s not associated with any big names – he’s just another expendable pawn, a “dead extra,” if you will. Duly noted, wars are not fought by the politicians and generals. It is the little people who fight, suffer, die, and there is little glamour in their desperate fights for survivals. Perhaps this very insignificance is what makes good dark/angst material.
Anyway, thanks for reviewing, and I’m glad this little story made an impression on you.
~ Tim the Enchanter
That was a really good one-shot. You managed to interweave two storys - Albus's and Dudleys. You brought up many interesting idea's that brought a lot of depth to the tail. Good job!
Wow that was really well done. I love the rythem you achieved, drawing the reader in. "When all along, I was Jealous. Jealous- But not anymore" that was a very powerful line. Petunia's remorse for the way she treated Lily was displayed perfectly. Keep up the good work!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad to hear you feel I portrayed her remorse well, and that the poem had a good rhythm! Thanks again :)
Awww that was rather cute little one-shot. I espeically love the last line, "Because you never wanted to be everyone else's." It was just perfect. You really captured Harry - that he didn't want to be a hero and the girl (was is Ginny? It felt like it was Ginny) loving him anyway. Great Job :)
Aww, what a sweet little one-shot. Remus can sure be charming when he wants to...before he goes Emo!Remus. Thanks for writing this, I really enjoyed it.
Congratulations on being runner up in the QSQ :D
Author's Response: Thank you so much for your kind words! Poor Remus--he didn't mean to go all Emo--he was just trying to protect Tonks. Really! :)
Thanks for the congratulations--it is truly an honour!
Hey that was really well done.
Characterisation of the other members of the trio- wary of Harry's motives but supportive none the less- was well done.
Being rejected for typos sucks. I am the typo queen!

Who is the bunch of rags???
Looking foward to the rest of the story! Keep up the good work!
Author's Response: Thanks, I\'m in the process of re-editing Chapter 3, so it should be up soon!\r\nGlad you liked it! As for the pile of rags, you\'ll have to wait and see!\r\n\r\nLola x
He could remember forcing his way through the mass of bodies, fighting through the crowd to reach his brother who lay, eyes closed, in the centre of the hall.
He remembered the restraining arms and the disjointed phrases such as "Colin" and "dead" and "sorry", all of which were meaningless, as all Dennis wanted to do was wake his brother and feel safe and happy again.
Well done. For me, Colin's death was one of the hardest hitting (probably the hardest after Fred.) You have used such good emotion, depth and imagery, I was able to picture his father as the milk bottle shattered on the floor. Congratulations on the deeply saddening, yet wonderful fic.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reviewing, I really appreciate when someone takes the time to let me know what they thought. It really was terrible how Colin died, and I suppose I'm pleased to hear that I hit the right note in my "memorial" to him, although it's terribly sad that I had to! Thanks again!
Charity Burbage never considered herself a strong or brave person. That is until she met Jack. Jack gave her fire and soul. He encouraged her to stand up for what she believed in. But when a tragedy strikes, Charity’s world is turned upside down. Should she take the easy way out or continue to fight for what’s right?
I am MerryD, proud Hufflepuff.
Firstly I would like to say wow. That story was truly well written. It keep me intrigued the whole way though. When I first saw your banner on the Beta boards it caught my eye. I knew I just had to click on it. I am very glad I did. Well done on an excellent job. It really moved me.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review! That banner is incredible, isn\'t it? Laur is so talented. I\'m very glad that you did click on it, and even more glad that you liked it. :D xo Mere
Hehe
You characterized Draco well, while making him humorous. Nice Job!
Can't wait for more!
Author's Response: A stellar compliment! Thank you for the note!
