Both were sent on a mission to retrieve two things from a person that one hated and one adored. They are sent back to the year 1871 even though the items they need to retrieve are in their present time.

They must work together in order to find a way to complete the mission or find a way out of it. If one, or both, fail, there will be extreme consequences.

An unexpected turn causes Sirius Black to think that the mission will never be completed, and he hopes that his worst enemy, Severus Snape, can find a way to make it work.
