Everything We Could Have Been by redcastle

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: With Ron's constant snogging of his new girlfriend, Lavender, Hermione is never around. Yes, she was jealous of Lavender and upset with Ron, but what was she doing all this time? The rise of Voldemort, constant pressure in school, and her love for Ron are clear issues in her life, but what if Hermione was struggling with other problems—problems no one else, save one, knew about? What if, while in love with Ron, she found herself falling in love with someone else—someone none of her friends, nor herself, would ever have expected? This is the bittersweet tale of the love that blossomed between Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy during their 6th year at Hogwarts and beyond.

**UPDATE:** I am sorry for taking such a long break. I am now rewriting the story from a third person perspective because I just feel it is my stronger style and I feel I could not describe things the way I wanted to simply from Hermione's eyes, especially because she could not know Draco's thoughts, which I would like to include. I hope to finish the new Prologue in a few days and hopefully it will be validated quickly. I will probably just delete the current chapters as soon as the new version is accepted. Please continue to review and let me know what your opinion of the new version is. Again, I am so sorry. Future updates will be announced on my livejournal account so please follow there and comment. Thank you for any fans left out there who believe in my story. I am also looking for a beta to please look over my chapters before I submit them. Send me a message on the forum (username: redcastle) or on livejournal (username: cherryredcastle) if you are interested.

Three by the opaleye

Rated: 6th-7th Years •

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: It is Christmas Eve, 1998.

That is, until she is rudely awakened by a visiting spirit.

After all, when one cannot see the joy of Christmas, what one needs most is a little vigilance.

This is Apollonious of Hufflepuff House, with my entry for Prompt 4 of the Christmas' Past, Present, and Future Challenge. Enjoy!

Prisoner of Hope by white-eyebrow

Eyes That Know Me by Equinox Chick

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Having just been dumped by his girlfriend, Hugo Weasley is not in the mood for his cousin's party, even when James assures him that he'll soon snap up a 'wicked-looking witch'. And with Lily hell-bent on fixing him up with the boring Eliza Finch-Fletchley, the evening looks to be taking a sharp turn for the worse.

But on the other side of the room, one guest is watching him closely. Will Hugo be able to resist?

The Sexual situations are mild and the strong profanity is fleeting (but necessary) hence the rating.

This story was originally written for a Musical drabble exchange in the SBBC. The song that inspired me was 'Falling Slowly' by Glen Hansard. Thanks must go to Lia (Liandrin) for introducing me to the song, Jess (ToBeOrNotToBeAGryffindor) for beta'ing the original drabble, and Elene (CoolCatElly) for beta'ing the extended version.

Finally, thank you Natalie (hestiajones) for introducing me to the whole concept of Scugo.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling or Glen Hansard. I just nick bits of their work and mould it into something else.

Nomintated for a 2011 QSQ in the Best Same Sex Category. Thank you.

A Hermione/Viktor story.

Defiance by lucca4

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story

Nearly eighty years have passed since the Battle of Hogwarts, yet Padma Patil cannot banish the string of tragic memories from her mind. A part of her still holds onto them as a way to see the faces of those she has lost once more.

Her memories tell the story of a young woman too afraid to fight against Voldemort’s regime. Throughout her final year at Hogwarts, Padma had been forced to choose between defying the Death Eaters and keeping her loved ones safe. Her decision is one that will ultimately haunt her for the rest of her life.

Nominated for a 2011 QSQ - Best Dark/Angsty Story

I am lucca4 of Gryffindor and this is my final for the Missing Moments class on the MNFF Beta Boards.

If You Change Your Mind by Sagen

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: 'If you change your mind, I'm the first in line. Honey, I'm still free, take a chance on me.'

They say that your last year of school is supposed to be your best. Too bad that isn’t true for Lily Evans and James Potter. Who knew that everything can be ruined in a week? First an over-the-top crush, then two friendships. Can you fix everything by someone changing their mind or is it too late once it’s over?

The Substitute by hestiajones

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: It was the last time for them, though he was yet to know.

Disclaimer:I am not J.K.Rowling; the characters and their world belong to her, though.

AU because these characters never kissed in canon. If you’ve seen the Deathly Hallows 1 movie, you might be able to understand what’s going on. ;)

This story won the QSQ for Best Non-Canon Romance in the One-shot categoery.

Teenage Witch by Equinox Chick

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: The Yule Ball of 1994 is a hugely exciting time for all the teenage witches at Hogwarts, but for the Muggle Studies teacher, Charity Burbage, it looks to be a depressing time. With the only available wizard the sour Severus Snape, she has no chance of finding a partner. And when Septima Vector informs her that The Weird Sisters are booked to play, Charity's mind becomes a blur. It had been six years since she last saw Myron. And in those six years, he's become a star.

Will Myron Wagtail remember Charity?

And does she want him to?

I am Equinox Chick from Hufflepuff and this is my entry in the Great Hall Christmas Challenge (prompt 2)

If you've read Mere Wisps of Light, then you'll know that Charity Burbage was very reticent about her Yule Ball romance when talking to Draco. This is why. The stories are linked, but it is not essential to read one to understand the other.

Disclaimer: All the characters mentioned in this fic are the creation of JK Rowling, with the exception of Gerard Bonbon who is my own creation.

The song, Teenage Witch, isn't real, but I'm guessing that Simon Cowell would like me to join his songwriting team.

Finally, thank you very much to Natalie (hestiajones) for beta'ing this story. I owe you so much!

Not Broken by lucca4

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:

It’s Christmas 1998, but Susan Bones doesn’t feel like celebrating. The loss of both her best friend and her favorite aunt have created wounds that might never heal. But with the help from a most unlikely person, she may be able mend what has broken, and gain a little Christmas spirit as well.

This story is for Gen/Sagen for the Gryffindor Christmas Craziness Secret Swap! Have a wonderful Christmas, Gen!

Mere Wisps of Light by Equinox Chick

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: It is Christmas Eve 1998, and the Magical World is shakily celebrating the first Christmas since Voldemort’s defeat.

For one, though, there is no reason to celebrate. Draco Malfoy sits alone in his room refusing to join his parents as they try to regain their social standing.

He does not want to see another Christmas, but he reckons without a redoubtable figure from his past.

My name is Equinox Chick from Hufflepuff, and this story has been written for prompt four of the Great Hall Christmas Challenge over at the MNFF Beta Boards.

Thank you to Natalie for a quick beta job on this – anything to get her away from Rabelais, I guess.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling. Her lawyers agree, so please don’t confuse us.
