I decided to read this after reading your Drabble for one of the challenges. This story is superb. You have an amazing way of writing. Extraordinarily descriptive, too. I loved Tonks appearance - there's a real tension there as Remus is so torn.
Brilliant!

This was very well written, I felt as though i were there watching the whole thing, except the last scene, because that would be an invasion of privacy. And I found Sirius' jealousy to be cute, but also quite scarey. Can't wait for the next update.

Hello, Kat!
So, I must say that I really liked this story. =) You've got some great Sirius/Remus chemistry going on here, but you keep it away from the smuttiness that usually happens in slash fics.

I think that you've done a great job with setting up Remus and Sirius' relationship--you have some subtle hints here and there that suggest it, and then finally! The truth comes out!

The party scene where they were sneaking alcohol was one of my favorite parts! Sirius just wouldn't be Sirius without alcohol, would he? :D

“Yes, she does seem to be calling me. Well, we must go tend to her — we just cannot let her drawl onto the rest of the people in the house. It’s terribly boring to listen, don’t you think?” Sirius quipped as he exited the room, brushing himself, and making his way down the stairs. ----- Best line ever!!! I had to laugh!

I'm a bit worried about Remus, seems to be drinking a lot. *raises eyebrow* I'm always wary when authors do a drunk!Remus, or a depressed!Remus but you managed to pull it off wonderfully!

All in all, this is a great fic! You kept it far from the land of wham, bam, thank you man while keeping it spicy! lol Great job!!!
~Allie

Author's Response: Thanks Allie! This is the end of drunk!Remus, no worries. It was simply something I was trying out. I don't know how I feel about it. I made it clear, though, that it was *not* normal. You know? Just a Sirius thing. lol. Thanks again, deary! Awesome review :]

Wow. You wrote Remus so well, even through his intoxication. He seemed so in control as one would think he was. I feel so overcomplimently. Lol, I've been saying some many good things about your writing, but I just can't stop! The little bits and pieces we see of Molly and Arthur are wonderful. They fit their characters so well. I love how Molly seemed so reserved, but she still had to yell about the dinner. Typical.

Author's Response: YAY! I was nervous about Molly. Really nervous. Thanks again, Em!

Your description is to die for in this chapter. The tension you created between the two was almost tangible. Really great job, sis!

Author's Response: Thanks, em! *huggles*

Omgah, how am I related to someone who writes so beautifully? Seriously, there is no way I could ever do what you do. I love the beginning of this when Remus calls him a dog! That's so funny! And the flashback was priceless as well. You picked a scene from their history that shows each of their characters perfectly! Lovely job, sis.

Author's Response: Well thanks for the praise, Em. It means a lot, really!

Awwwah. this is absolute luff. You wrote the scene so well. I can feel Sirius's emotions and the gentleness and longing and... GO KAT!

Author's Response: Lol, thanks Kritch. I'm happy you luff. Thanks for the cheer, as well.

I really like the way you write... I just hope you won't cease updating before the story's end, asso many seem to do!

Author's Response: Don't worry-- I'm sticking with this one to the end! I love writing it, and Sirius/Remus is my OTP, so I can't just leave them hanging... I'm about halfway through Chapter Four, so expect and update in the next week or so!

I must tell you, Remus/Sirius is one of my favorite ships, so right off I knew I would enjoy this. I like how you weave in a good plot along with the pending romance, and you really make the readers feel the tension between them. I can't wait to see what Sirius is going to do now! Excellent writing and keep up the great work! :)

Aw. Merlin, I'm obsessed with the Marauders, and the with all the friendships, betrayals, lost time, it's one huge tragedy that makes me want to cry. Like I did in DH. Like a little kid.

I think you did a fantastic job creating the tension between Remus and Sirius after Voldemort's return, esp. with how you describe Sirius. Sometimes it's easy for them, but sometimes it's not, and you did well showing that.

A few odd things here or there--"flea ridden dog" was just a typo. It sounds like you have Sirius falling asleep in the chair when you say "his place in Remus' chair was unmoved", but then what about "unsteadily standing up from his cramped bed"? "He grasped at the face, the arms, anything, and shoved him closer." I would change 'shoved' to 'pulled', seeing as Sirius is against a wall?

Last thing: I'm assuming Sirius' wand was snapped when he went to Azkaban, so the wand Remus bought for him was new, right? For the wand to work well for Sirius, the wand would have had to have chosen Remus in the shop, and Sirius would have had to win it from him. You could do a lot of things with a mock duel between the two for the sole purpose of Sirius winning the wand's allegiance. Being left wandless is also a metaphor for vulnerability, so you could definitely play off of that. Unless, of course, it really is Sirius' old wand.

Even though I don't ship the pair, I enjoyed this chapter immensely. Good job, keep writing, and have a nice day!

Author's Response: Well, Ron always used one of his brother's wands growing up, so I figured that if Remus chose a wand for Sirius, it would suffice. Other than that bit, thank you for the amazing review!
