Summary: Keedie Dante has experienced many amazing things during her time at Hogwarts, including the hushed up drama that was the Chamber of Secrets. However, with two overachieving friends and a headmaster who does not even know she exists, Keedie feels that perhaps her seventh year will not be too spectacular. However, Dumbeldore sees her potential as a writer and enrols her in a simple writing course. Here, she meets the mysterious and terrifying Tom Riddle and they instantly get under one another's skin. She is drawn to his dark determination towards some unknown goal and he is fascinated by her, in every way. However, Tom's friends do not approve of Keedie and her unconventional ways and Keedie has many people trying to keep her away from the dark young man as well. Something inside tells Keedie that she can make him better, but even he assures her that this is an impossible task. But she's not one to give up easily...

Interesting new excerpt. One can almost relate with Voldy after what happened to Keeds and the baby. Makes it more plausible, him not sparing Lily's life if his own Keeds was taken from him. A bit stupid of him though, not anticipating the 'ancient magic'!
Author's Response: His mother never protected him. He judges everyone by his own standards. I'm afraid the epilogue is all pretty upsetting. Not too many laughs. :(

Author's Response: Yes, I have always felt that just by looking at a teacher, you can get out of anything if you spot a line you read in a sex ed. book. Snape is most definantly one of those teachers. And don't you believe I was ever above using it!

This is a Lavender Brown/Blaise Zabini story, but also concerns that last year at Hogwarts when the Trio were a'hunting Horcruxes.

Amazing story! I really should have started reading this a while back.
I thought Thaddeus came up with a very clever story to account for his wife's disappearance.
I really enjoy Hogwarts fics during when the trio was on the run as I feel JKR didn't do justice to that aspect in DH.
Aaaaaaaand I'm off to read the next 4 chapters.
