I'm In Love With My Car by MaiaMadness

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: “I’m holding your wheel! All I hear is your gear! I’m cruising in overdrive. Don’t have to listen to no one in the middle talk jive. I’m in love with my car. Got a feel for my Automobile…” The muggle car was beautiful and bright turquoise. It wasn’t big or suave. It was not one of those fancy, big American cars. It was simply a cute little Ford Anglia. But Arthur Weasley loved it!

Third short in my A Night at the Opera series!

Only just noticed your response to my last review...XD Yup, that's where I got my name from. Do you like Rasputina? You're the first person I've met who knows who they are...

And because I would never want to spam, I've been re-reading this story. Once again, it is SO cute...Molly is very well characterized in particular. Love the ending.

Author's Response: Well, \'tis a lovely name. I do love Rasputina. They make really great music, and are really funny a lot of the time. My favourite songs are Howard Hughes, High on Life and Things I\'m Gonna Do. :) They\'re brilliant!

Oh, I just loved this. I'm too lazy to write a proper review, but great story!

Author's Response: Thank you! Hm... The Salt Lake Queen? Wouldn\'t have anything to do with the song Saline the Salt Lake Queen, by Rasputina, would it? If not, just ignore me.

My Deliverance by TwinSuns

Rated: Professors • Past Featured Story
Summary: Voldemort's rising reign of terror, NEWTs, death attempts, a Headship, a tangled affair with James Potter, hilarity, grief, love, secrecy, maddness... it's almost hard to believe that I've survived to graduate. I am Lily Evans, and this is my 7th year.

You know what? You're amazing.

Seriously, I love this story so much. Beautifully written. The alternating point of view really adds tension. Your characterization is great, particularly with James and Frank - they jump off the page in a way most authors struggle to achieve, but seems to come quite naturally here.

I'm really enjoying what I've read so far. I hope to see more soon! xx

Wow, poor Remus! This story is intense...can't wait to read the next instalment. Your writing is excellent. :D

Author's Response: Yeah, 4th year was rather intense. 5th year will be a little more lighthearted, until the infamous Whomping Willow incident. Glad you like it! Thanks for reading!

Well, you just seriously cheered my day. I've been home all day sick with the flu, and reading this has made my day far more enjoyable. Or perhaps it's your descriptions of Remus' transformations that stop me feeling so sorry for myself...VERY good descriptions, by the way. Gruesome, but very realistic.

This is a fantastic story...your characterization of the Marauders really leaps off the page. Personally, I think the best bit is your portrayal of Peter - it's astonishingly rare that I find a story which handles his character properly. Usually he's either a snivelling brat, or completely absent. You've portrayed him just like I've always imagined he ought to be.

What can I say? This is going in my favourites...thanks for a riveting read so far, and I can't wait for the next instalment to get through the queue. :)

Author's Response: If you have the flu, you have the right to feel sorry for yourself:) Get better! I always try to get the Marauders as close to real as they could be and especially with Peter. It\'s annoying to find a story where the author simply shuns him, he was their friend (a traitor, but still a friend at some point). Thanks for putting this in your favorites! I hope the next chapter gets through soon so you can read it. Thanks for reading!

Eep...this is awesome! Dorcas is insane...I'm guessing it was her who set the birds on Lily? Aww, poor James...can't wait for the next chapter!

Pause by Nymphea

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: The summer night before her wedding, Lily sits under a tree with James. A relaxing, happy one-shot about love and happiness.

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. God, you just about made me feel as if I was in love with James too...amazingly well crafted story. I just loved it.

Author's Response: you weren\'t in love with James already? :) But thanks so much for reviewing; I really appreciate your comments.

Now Complete!

After a year the Epilouge is now up! Come read for a bit of fun!!

Runner up QSQ - Best Chaptered Canon Romance

Reason for Nomination:
This is the most unique take on how James and Lily really got to know each other. The story is hilarious and keeps you laughing throughout, but it never lets you forget the serious stuff. Plus, she somehow manages to end each chapter with a nice cliffhanger.

*giggles*

My, my, this is fantastic! I confess, I'm having a hard time keeping my mind out of the gutter here (I mean, they're IN EACH OTHERS' BODIES!) but I AM thoroughly enjoying the story. Can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I'm fairly sure James' mind is heading to the gutter fairly soon as well...

The Bacchus Book by Equinox Chick

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: On the morning of Christmas Day, 2000, Hermione Granger (soon-to-be-Weasley) wakes up from a delightful dream to find herself in a bathroom at Grimmauld Place.

As various Weasleys queue up to tell her all about her behaviour the night before at Aunt Muriel's birthday party, Hermione is in a state of shock.

She knows she didn't drink anything stronger than Butterbeer. So why was she wearing a toga and teaching everyone how to perform Greek dancing?

And what, in the name of Merlin, was she doing with George?

This is Equinox Chick and this is my entry for the extra credit challenge 'In Vino Veritas' for the Winter Snows 09 competition over at the MNFF beta boards.

Thank you to Apurva for beta'ing this tale in time. Thanks also to various people on AIM for telling me to get on with this (Jess, Natalie, Hannah, Russia, Kara, BB)

Disclaimer: I'm not JK Rowling. She would never have written anything quite so daft.

Claimer: I have disgraced myself wearing a toga before now.

Oh wow.

This is, without a doubt, one of the craziest things I have ever read. The Ancient Greeks would be so, so proud.

I never can resist a few good Greek Myth jokes; you pull it off very, very well!

Author's Response: Oh, thank you very much. I hope the gods were amused, I certainly had fun writing it. ~Carole~

Liking it a lot so far. I used to follow your old work, back when I was under a different penname I believe...your style has is as strong as ever. I'm impressed. :)

Excellent chapter! Lily's characterisation is good, very vivid, and I loved the banter between her and James. Lily and Remus' dialogue didn't seem to be working quite as well, for some reason...it seemed like you were kind of skimming the topic, keen to get on to the bit with James.

That aside, there's not a whole lot I can think of to criticize. I smiled the whole time I was reading this, and if you knew what kind of day I've had you would realise that is a very big compliment indeed. Looking forward to your next!
