About the singing: yeah, I know the feeling. I had just learnt to sing how much is that doggy in the window backwards line by line perfectly, and I was made to shut up.

I'm reading this AGAIN. Mostly because I find it utterly hilarious, but also because I am trying to work out why you this Ralph Fiennes plays Voldy like he is in this. I'm starting to get what you meant. Also, my mum still won't let me try blowing up pop tarts. I was very considerate too. I mean, I never said I wouldn't clean up afterwards, I would pay for the pop tart and duct tape myself. However, she fails to understand that it would be a useful and scientific proceeding. She feels that is would be a waste of a toaster and highly dangerous. I shall have to educate her. She won't let me leave a tomato sauce bottle for 5 years and then open it to watch the ketchup explode everywhere either. It's really very depressing, the family I have to put up with.

Author's Response: Hahaha, thank you so much, Meda. I never know whether I can't take Ralph Fiennes seriously because of this or the other way around, but he just seems so goofy to me. As for the tomato sauce thing... that sounds HILARIOUS. I need to try that. You think your family's insufferable? My brother and sister and I were singing the Ballad of Sweeney Todd in the car in PERFECT three-part harmony, and my parents made us shut up so they could talk about what restaurant we wre going to eat at. Argh.

This was a very interesting beginning. There is so much that I am curious to hear more about. Why is Ginny doing this is the first one that comes to mind. There is also the question of why, if she chose to be a Death Eater, "Despair rushed over her as she realised what she had done." This was a very promising start and I would love to hear some more of it. I was especially impressed by the way you kept the flow of the story going while moving from an interrogation to a casual conversation, to another deadly battle of wills. Excellent work.

Of Christmas Past by Chaser921
Rated: 3rd-5th Years •Summary: Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny find themselves in a Muggle hotel in Godric's Hollow on the Winter Solstice. During an enthusiastic snowball fight, Harry and Ginny step through a stone circle that transports them seventeen years into the past. This may be the only chance Harry has to spend with his parents, and it may also be what he needs to figure out his relationship with Ginny.
The warning is for later chapters.
Edit: So, this was originally strictly a Harry/Ginny fic, but Ron and Hermione kept trying to get together too, so I felt like I had to change the category. And there's a bit of Lily/James in there too, though they're already married, and I've also added a bit of Remus/Tonks. Poor Sirius is the only Singleton (though he may manage to get a girl of his own)!
Edit: This story was cannon until after Deathly Hallows came out, so I changed it to Alternate Universe, but it's still pretty close to cannon. Only a few things will end up being different when the story ends.
Edit: I've changed all of the chapter titles to the titles of Christmas songs that I felt reflected the events in the chapters best. Tell me what you think! Does it fit?

So, I spoofed the entire album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" by the Beatles, to be performed by your favourite Dark Lord and choice Death Eaters in the style of a rock opera. Eat your lonely hearts out!
I don't recommend this fic to those who are not at all familiar with the Beatles.

I can find no faults or problems with it, the style is consistent and captures both events and emotions with a voice which is so fluid it is hard to believe that this as written by more than one person. I absolutely loved this story, and you should both be very proud of it.

ROTFLMAO! OK, that was neither the most sophisticated nor the most helpful comment, but I loved the story very much and it make me laugh very hard at a time when I was feeling a little stressed, so thank you! I'll just highlight a few of my favourite lines:
“I dig up beans, I eat my lunch, I go to the lavatory, on Wednesdays I go shopping and have buttered scones for tea.”
“Oh that was my ceiling fan, Frank. He’s very aggressive.”
Except for poor Harry, who was trapped in a sock on a small island, inhabited solely by Nargles, without his chocolatewackosockamajigger to ward them off, until Luna and her army or Elgrans rescued him.

I like the way that you've written that chapter. I don't know if that is where you're going, but you could work it up into a distrust of Andromeda and Harry. If you were to do that, you are definitely going the right way, because you haven't taken it two quickly, but there are little seeds of doubt. Sunlight here, a splash of water there... Still, I'm randomly speculating and you could head off in a completely different direction. I love this story, because I haven't seen anything else like it and you write it well. It's one of my favourites that I always want to see at the top of the list because it has a new chapter. Update soon, please, I'm really curious.
