I know that I have not been on Mugglenet FanFic in SEVERAL months and I am sorry. These past months and year have been so crazy, hectic, and frustrating there has been no time for DD. I am sad to tell that I will not be finishing DD unless a random amount of freetime appears.

Summary: Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny find themselves in a Muggle hotel in Godric's Hollow on the Winter Solstice. During an enthusiastic snowball fight, Harry and Ginny step through a stone circle that transports them seventeen years into the past. This may be the only chance Harry has to spend with his parents, and it may also be what he needs to figure out his relationship with Ginny.

The warning is for later chapters.

Edit: So, this was originally strictly a Harry/Ginny fic, but Ron and Hermione kept trying to get together too, so I felt like I had to change the category. And there's a bit of Lily/James in there too, though they're already married, and I've also added a bit of Remus/Tonks. Poor Sirius is the only Singleton (though he may manage to get a girl of his own)!

Edit: This story was cannon until after Deathly Hallows came out, so I changed it to Alternate Universe, but it's still pretty close to cannon. Only a few things will end up being different when the story ends.

Edit: I've changed all of the chapter titles to the titles of Christmas songs that I felt reflected the events in the chapters best. Tell me what you think! Does it fit?

I'm so glad this chapter finally came up. It's been sent to my inbox as an alert for a long time but I could never get it to come up. It was worth the wait. What a difficult dilemma for Harry,unable to fix things so that he can have his parents. If Peter shows up, Tonks better give him food poisoning quickly. I do wonder how Remus will react to this whole thing. It's been so long since I read the prior chapters, I don't remember who know of the time travelers and who doesn't. Christmas is going to be interesting. I'm still enjoying this. I believe that Dumbledore is at the door. I hope all is going well for you now.

I think the charm held all that time through a combination of the spell itself and the unyielding pride of Mrs. Black, almost as it she was holding onto the wall herself. When she learned the fate of her family, there was nothing left to hold on to. Kreacher, I believe, would have mixed feelings about the removal of the painting. On the one hand, he was treated relatively kindly by Mrs. Black, but seeing how well he could be treated by Harry and friends, he came to understand that perhaps we was not treated as well as he might have been, but had no benchmark by which to judge until Harry. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if Mrs. Black's painting wasn't still around somewhere, tucked away by the nostalgic Kreacher. Thanks again!

Dumbledore ? Was there anything he didn't know? Was this more of what Harry found at his parents home in Godric's Hollow? I hope you have something for the queue when it comes back up. This is really excellent. I still think Dawlish is the bad guy.

Author's Response: Dumbledore was a very smart fellow. As for more to follow, I'll probably start working on the next chapter over the next couple of days as I finished another story yesterday (not HP-related, I'm afraid). Hopefully, this one will come much quicker than the last one and I won't have to rewrite it as many times. Thanks again!
