"Sometimes, you act like you think we’re going to be abducted right out of the castle or something."
Ha, ha, Ron certainly knows how to predict the future.
Oh, no, Harry and Ron have been kidnapped! Remember Ron saying" Sometimes, you act like you think we’re going to be abducted right out of the castle or something"? Well, it turned out true.
didn't you have a sequel called Harry Potter and the Flame of Obtius? I can't find it! What happened to it?
wasn't there a sequel to this story called Harry Potter and the Flame of Obitus? I cannot seem to find it anywhere, not even on your account. What happened to it? Did it get deleted? Or are you revising it and resubmitting it soon? I don't know, but I would really like some answers, Stormy!
you mention in this story that the goblin-made tiara is a replica of Ravenclaw's diadem, which turned out to be the horcrux in DH. Were you aware of this after book 7 came out?
can you tell me what ESB references you used in this chapter? I don't think I caught on to them (it has been a long time since I saw ESB).
Also, having Remus and Tonks die does follow canon. Eery how a lot of things you are writing in your story turned out to be canon by Book 7.
my, what a way to end the story. With a headline that Vernon and Petunia had been murdered in their home. I bet it was Dudley who did it, wasn't it? Probably had enough of them. Still a little creepy though.
I think I may have read this story before-Because every time Geoffery Baxer's name is mentioned, I get a bad feeling about him. Don't give away anything to me alright, Phoenix 86?
when will you have chapter 33?
Author's Response: already in. don\'t know about it being accepted though
I am confused. When the Incarcerous spell is cast, is there a rope that binds the mouth like a cloth gag? Also, are the arms held on either side of the body, or are they behind a person's back?
Author's Response: that...is a very good question. i can\'t recall everytime i used it in the story, but i\'ve used it to only just tie up the arms on either side, and sometimes cover up the mouth as well--mainly when i don\'t want the tied up person to speak. i can\'t think of examples from the books at the top of my head.
ron was a mole to infiltrate the death eaters? Never saw that coming? But what were the clues in the story? What did I miss? Was that the mysterious mission Ron was assigned to?
Author's Response: ron only showed up as a death eater once in the story, and i only gave VERY subtle hint as to his true indentity, him saying that you can only be a traitor if you were on that side in the first place (chapters 4 and 27). i\'m gonna explain more later on.
so, Ron and Hermione lie to Vernon about studying in france-only to later find out that because Hogwarts is closed, they would have to go to France for their final year (which they don't do anyway). Interesting foreshadow.
Author's Response: o_O i did that? i didn\'t catch that at all
how many chapters to you plan on writing? I had read this story but I lost track. I'm going to wait until the story is completed so I can start over. It is a much better feeling knowing that the story has an end.
Even though I haven't read it in a long time (not even the most recent chapter) I love this story BTW, just to let you know.
Author's Response: The story is 49 chapters. All the rest are finished and have been for some time. I just had to get through the middle. Glad you like it!
are you going to submit the next chapter soon? It's been too long.
Author's Response: Ha! A new reviewer! *cackles evilly* I\'m terribly sorry about the long (too long) gaps between updates, and this story has NOT been abandoned. It\'s my baby, for Pete\'s sake! But I have exams in April and May and right now, I\'m not writing often. :( I swear, come summer, we\'ll see a lot more done.
what's the progress on chapter 16? I want to read it. And how did I miss the update? It had been five months and I completely missed it! Now that Harry and Ginny are reunited, will things improve? Why am I asking this? I'll have to wait until more chapters are posted.
Author's Response: I think a lot of people missed it because I don\'t think it was ever posted in the Most Recent section! As for Harry and Ginny . . . you\'ll have to wait and see! More good things are going to happen in Chapter 16, but I can\'t keep everything fluffy for very long, it\'s just not my style. . . . I have started the next chapter, but honestly, even if I finished it tomorrow, it will probably be weeks before it gets posted, because all my other stories need to be updated first, and with the queue moving so slowly lately. . . . Thanks for the review!
What a Great Story you have written. Interesting how you made Ron the lead character rather than Harry. Also the twist with Adam-never saw that one coming. How many chapters are left and when will you post the next one?
BTW, I did read the other Epilogues stories and spin-offs prior to reading this story, but that was a long time ago, so I was a little rusty on some details, particularly the Rathbone brothers and Simon. I wanted to read this story immediately after the second Epilogues, but the Professors rating prevented me from accessing it (I wasn't registered at the time).
Other than that, keep up the good work to conclude your Epilogues trilogy.
Author's Response: Well, thank you very much, I truly appreciate it. As for making Ron the lead character, that was all according to plan. When I sat down to write the Epilogues trilogy, I knew each of the three stories would come from a different point of view. I think writing from Harry\'s point of view all the time would eventually get stale, and besides, here are some other characters that are really interesting and have some serious depth to excavate, and so that\'s where I really wanted to go with this. As for the next chapter, well, I hope to put it in queue no later than friday night, but when I get home I\'m really going to knuckle down and try and get it finished tonight so that I can start working on the following chapter on Friday. But, while you wait, why not stop by my blog: adayinthemindof.wordpress.com and see some of the things that I have coming down the pike. I don\'t expect this story to go beyond the month of May, and once I\'m done here, I\'m leaving fanfic completely, but hope that everyone will join me as I embark on my own personal writing. For everyone else reading these responses, you might as well get used to me plugging my blog as often as I can. Anyway, thank you so much, and I hope to hear from you at the next one!
my god, when will Rogan ever die? Is this leading to a spin-off of this story? I thought this story was going to be the end of the Epilogues trilogy. When will you write that epilogue, and will it be a closure? It is really unsettling.
Author's Response: Okay, here\'s the deal that I hope answer your questions. The Epilogues were always intended to be a prelude to a longer series of stories. From beginning to end, they were only ever intended to set the stage for what I would see as a broader story arc that begins three years after the Nightshades story ends. For various reasons, however, I have chosen not to write those stories. Now, this would lead one to believe that the next logical course of action is for me to either alter the ending of this story to reflect a more final conclusion, or to at least do a quick summation in the epilogue to the Nightshades. I have chosen against this, though, because if I did that, it wouldn\'t be the same story Now, the epilogue is already written, I merely need to revise it and post it which I will have done by the end of this week. No, it doesn\'t provide much closure, for the reason I stated above, but I do not intend to leave you guys in the lurch. From the moment I realized I would not be writing anymore fanfiction after finishing this story, I also committed myself to writing a series of essays on my blog so that you guys can get some closure. I intend to start working on those this Friday, though you should know that I will only post certain essays that don\'t act as spoilers until after the new chapter is produced. When I have them all written, I will provide links to them in an author\'s note update later on. So, no, this is really it, there are going to be tons of loose ends left loose, but I will tie them up outside the narrative at my blog at adayinthemindof.wordpress.com Thanks for the review!
That's all? No more Stories? Then I guess the fight between Rogan and the descendents of Potter, Weasley, and Longbottom children will continue, just like the fight between good and evil. It will never truly end.
Author's Response: Yes, it\'s over, but not quite. As I said, I will explain what continues on after on my blog, but in a way, I think you have the crux of the matter, it\'s a repeating cycle, and I think maybe that\'s probably the final theme, not that good and evil are always at odds, but that humanity is constantly challenged, and that there really isn\'t ever a happily ever after, but instead a happily after for right now. That and eventually we do have to pass life on, and make room for the next generation, just as generations before us had to make way for us, and the generation that follows will have to make room for their children. So join me on my blog as I start writing out some essays, and I hope to see ya over there. But thank you so much for joining me for this.
There is a detail I can't seem to remember-has Ron ever met Bernard in person? Because that's who I think kidnapped Harry and Ginny and who appears and says "Me" at the end of this chapter. Also, emphasizing the word "him" seems to me like a dead giveaway to pointing out Bernard. You probably won't confirm or deny anything at this point, until the next chapter comes, but I could right. It actually happened to me once, when I predicted the death of a character in another story, The Next Bend. It's kinda of eery how sometimes I predict things right. It could happen again with this story!
When I first read this, I almost thought it was Malfoy, but I realized that would be a really cliche guess, since Malfoy isn't even mentioned in this story.
How's progress on chapter 7 and when will you submit it? I think that in order to speed up the updating, you could write the next two or three chapters at once, and then submit them one at a time in succession from each other. I read two stories, Great Expectations, and Alexandra Quick and the Thorn Circle, which had their chapters posted on an almost daily basis!
Some questions do haunt me-what happened to the baby? Was it forcedly removed from Ginny's womb and is it alive or dead? And what happened to Harry? Is he dead or alive? Who had done these terrible unknown things to Ginny and Harry? I know you're not gonna answer me, until chapter 7 comes in. At least we know at this point, the kidnapping was definitely not faked, not after what kind of hell Ginny has been through. Now the story's really cooking!
So you're also obsessed with kidnapping stories? A kin after my own heart!
Author's Response: Yes, Ron met Bernard in person earlier in the story. That\'s an interesting theory you have as to why it\'s Bernard -- you\'ll find out if you\'re right soon enough! As for your updating theory -- I started out Uncle Fred Calls Him Dick (another of my stories) that way. I wrote the first three chapters and then posted them one after another. And sometimes when I get really into a section of a story, I\'ll write fifteen, twenty thousand words and then split it into three or four chapters. However, at this point, if I waited and just wrote all the ending of the Pursuit and then started posted -- it would probably take longer (I want the ending to be perfect, perfectionist that I am!) Chapter seven isn\'t too far off, hopefully. Thanks for the great review!
I bet that the little who bled tears of blood and turned into a flood of blood is probably representing the baby Hermione miscarried (because the girl keeps shouting "Daddy!" to Ron).
Author's Response: That sounds about right. . . .
