Well hi! My name's Becca, I'm a Gryffindor, and I reside on the forums as twilightHPgirl18. I live in New York, I love the 1940s-'70s almost as much as I love Ashton Kutcher, and I'm actually working on an OF that takes place in 1966, and another in 1976 based on my dad's teenage life :)
My favorite bands are, in no particular order: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Bruce Springsteen, The Doors, and Pink Floyd.
I love the TV shows The Big Bang Theory, Gilmore Girls, Happy Days, Glee, Saturday Night Live (I love Jimmy Fallon and Will Ferrell), and Survivor.
My favorite movie at the moment is Pirate Radio (which I love oh so much), but I'm also very fond of Tommy Boy, Across the Universe, 21, The Breakfast Club, The Blues Brothers, and Grease.
My dream is to live in New York City, London, or New Haven, Connecticut. I'm just that cool ;)
Becca:D
GAH, Whit, 'twas fabulous. You've outdone yourself with this one, if that's possible. The characters are flawless. I love it. I wish Sirius and Kirsty would get their act together, though... Ah well, if they got together too soon then the story would be boring and prosaic.
Oh, Hayley and Remus. I really do love them. They're perfect for each other. But I have to say, I really like Kirsty/Sirius the best out of the pairings here. Emma/Sam is great. Love it. They're so awesome together as well.
Update soon! This fic is addictive; my own personal brand of heroin. /Edward Cullen. Really, you have to update! But this one was great timing; I leave on vacation til Friday tomorrow morning, and since I won't have internet access for the week, this was awesome! {BeccA}
EEEEEEEEP!!!!!!! OL' MINNIE? She's a Death Eater? *gasp* And, I caught the Daethly Hallows thing before reading the end note!!! Yay!!! Anyway, I do seem to be leaving you quite alot of reviews... if you like, I can stop. Anyway, 100000000000000000000000000000/10 and great job! {Becca}
Author's Response: I certainly would not like you to stop, unless you want to! I love getting reviews and reads on my stories, especially the one-shots that not many people read.
This was amazing! Great job, and 10/10.
~~~Beckee~~~
Author's Response: Thank you so much! And I do adore your username... my favourite radio station is doing an all-Beatles extravaganza all weekend, and I am really enjoying it.
OK< i know I've reviewed, but there's a big question weighing me down: What's your favorite Beatles song? (Lame question, right?) Mine are Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Penny Lane, Help, I Feel Fine, Octopus's Garden, Hello Goodbye, In My Life, Nowhere Man (which I just heard for the first time on the radio last week), Tell Me Why, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Here Comes the Sun, Paperback Writer, Can't Buy Me Love, Getting Better All the Time, A Little Help From My Friends, A Day in the Life, Lady Madonna, Hey Jude, Let It Be, All You Need Is Love (which my Beatles-obsessed teacher *which is not an insult, as I admire that quality greatly* made us sing in our concert) Sgt.Pepper (another concert song.), Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (Its weird, but hey, rocking horse people?) Yellow Submarine (another concert song!), War Is Over (Christmas song. Gotta love it) and Eleanor Rigby (the instrumental version is my cell phone ringtone). I think thats my entire list... I dont know if you saw it, but American Idol did two Beatles weeks. I think a few contestants ruined some songs, but other than that... In musioc one day last year our teacher played The Concert for George for the whole class. It was really cool, and the Indian music rocked. What album is Twist and Shout on? My friends did it for Lip Sync, my guitar teacher plays it alot, and I'm the only person in my grade that doesnt know the words. And, once again, 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001/10
~Beckee~
P.S. I have way more favorite songs, but they don't fit in this tiny review box.
Author's Response: Okay, this is weird... I\'m sure I was asked this question on a review for a different questions, and mannny of ours overlap... because MY top two are also Penny Lane and Maxwell\'s Silver Hammer! And also on my list are Octopus\'s Garden, A Day In The Life, Hey Jude, All YOu Need Is LOve, and Eleanor Rigby!! There are more, but it\'s so hard to pick... I can\'t remember which album Twist \'n\' Shout is on, because it was such an early song and a cover anyway... I know it says in one of my Beatles books... Oh, incidentally, I LOVE the Beatles\' version of Till There Was You from the Music Man.
Ohhhh, burn!
^^the catchphrase of my school. I love it better when Lucius does it, though.
The return of Biff!!! *does happy crazy Biff's back let's celebrate dance* Aw man, this fic's on hiatus? *sobs* ah well. I've got more things to complain about. Like why I have writers block. And why the Potter's Pentagon hasn't been updated yet. Well, I cant complain about that, especially if it's not written yet. *oops. shuts up so that she doesnt offend anyone* Great job. 1000000/10
{Becca}
Author's Response: Ahhh yes, Biff. I almost forgot about him. The Potter\'s Pentagon is most definitely written-- I wrote the entire story two years ago, and finished the third book in the trilogy in December. The 11th chapter has been in queue for 23 days. I WANTS ME AN UPDATE! But yes, this story is on hiatus... still, there\'s always a chance that I\'ll continue it after Potter\'s Pentagon.
aha! The return of rab411. I liked him. He rocked. but I liked the Nagini's-got-a-screenname-so-what-else-could-this-snake-do thing. again, 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000*yawn. pressing the 0 button is tiring.* 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000/10. {Becca}
Author's Response: Wowzers, thanks so much! It\'s funny, I\'ve almost completely forgotten about this story... I still have my outline for the many, many unwritten chapters, and who knows, I may get around to them someday.
Aww. That was really, really, really, really really really really really really (have I made my point? I don't think so.) really really really really really R-E-A-L-L-Y good! This is so going on my favorites list! 1000000000000000000/10.
Ooooooooo!!1 Great chapter! It introduced the characters brilliantly, and set the stage for future chapters. I can't wait to read more! {BeccA}
Author's Response: Thanks! I\'m so glad you liked it!
Symone doesnt seem like Pansy, or Millicent, or Annadel, or Shiloh to be exact. She kinda seems like she wouldn't belong in Slytherin, so it's kinda strange to see her there. Its also odd to see Shiloh in Slytherin as well. I thought the Hat would put her in Gryffindor. Ah well, it's still a great ssetting/plot/characters/personality/anything that makes a good story good. 10000000000/10 {BeccA} P.S. did I mention that I love the name Shiloh? or that I love that she knows Fred/George, because all 3 of them are awesome?
Author's Response: Yeah, a lot of people think that Symone and Shiloh would be better off in Gryffindor, but I put think in Slytherin for a reason and have never once regretted their placement. Thanks for the 100 billion points out of ten, lol. It means a lot to have enthusiastic fans like you. Oh, and I\'m glad you like the fact that Fred and George are in the story.Thanks for another wonderful review!
This chapter was really neat. I loved it, and I can't wait to read more of the series. Are you gonna do years 3-7 too? Cos I noticed year 2's up already.
Author's Response: Thanks! I\'m so glad you liked it. And yes, I\'m planning on doing years 3-7.
This is great! She made it! Andyway, i think youre an awesome author/writer and that all the vividness in Once There Was A Darkness Year One (by the way, great title) is really adding to the effectiveness of it! {BeccA}
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I\'m glad you loved the title. I always really, really liked it, but you\'re one of the only few people who have complimented me on it. Thanks so much for the wonderful review.
This is off to an awesome start! I never expected it to happen, but this could fit into canon perfectly. Ellessa seems to be perfect in everything but her personality, and I know several people like her. This really is great, and I loved the vivid details of the house, Ellessa, and the final sentence:
the heavens mourning for the daughter that Severus Snape had lost.
^^Wow. It was great, and I can't wait to read more! Great start! {Becca}
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I\'m glad that I could make both a believable storyline and a believable character in Ellessa. And I\'m glad that you loved the last line. I\'m partially fond of it myself. Thanks for the review!
This is a very original idea. I never expected to see a side of Ginny like this, wheere she didn't like Hermione and she didn't have any real friends. I always thought that she'd be one of the most popular of her year. This was really exciting to explore another side of Ginny Weasley. And her thoughts on CoS. I really liked how you brought that into it and everything. Very original work! {BeccA}
Author's Response: Dear Becca, We know that Ginny ended up very popular, but I think Tom Riddle made sure it didn't happen in her first year. I'm sure she felt guilty for hurting Hermione and jealous of Hermione's closeness to Harry, so I decided to find out how they became friends. Thanks for reviewing, GhV
Poor Ginny. I actually really like this chapter, and the idea behind the story, and normally I don't read general fics. So, I really liked it and think it's wonderfully written. Excellent job! {BeccA}
Author's Response: Dear Becca, Romance is to follow (sort of). I am very proud to have enticed you into reading outside your usual genre. Best wishes, GhV
Ooooh. Nice ending to the chapter! I really like this story; it's going on my favorites. {BeccA}
Author's Response: Dear Becca, Thank you! Ginny is having a great surprise... GhV
Very great ending; I love Molly's story. great job! {BeccA}
Author's Response: Dear Becca, Thank you! We always knew there was something behind Molly's love-potion story, didn't we? Thanks for taking the time to review each chapter. GhV
Funniest story I have read in a long time! I loved the final dare, it made me crack up for about five minutes. Great job! {BeccA}
Interesting... how did Harry end up looking like Hermione? And then Muggleborn Dudley Polkiss... isn't that, like, Dudley dursley and Piers Polkiss? And Miss Potter? Is Harry Mr Granger? Justin Macmillan and Frances Longbottom? I don't really get it, but I like it~ {BeccA}
Author's Response: Dear Ringobeatlesfan4, Did you work out that this story is set in the year 2025? Harry looks like Hermione because he's her son, and Piers Polkiss also named his son after his best friend. I wrote it in 2003 to poke fun at people who were taking the shipping wars too seriously, but of course it hasn't been so funny since "Deathly Hallows" was published. Thanks for reviewing, GhV
Ohhhh. I read it again and now I get it! Very good job! I wasn't here at Mugglenet during the shipping wars, but I can tell that they were big. I still find it really funny, despite DH. {BeccA}
Author's Response: Dear Becca, Thank you! And the shipping wars weren't just at Mugglenet. They were everywhere, and not always as polite as the Mugglenet moderators forced them to be here. Some posters took it as a personal insult that other people disagreed about what "should" happen to Hermione, and they were absolutely vicious to each other. Get a grip, people! The cyber-posters whom you insulted were real human beings with real feelings, but Harry, Ron and Hermione are FICTITIOUS! Several H/Hr shippers were even angry that I had "tricked" them into reading my story with "false advertising", while R/Hr shippers were angry with the Mugglenet mods for publishing it. I'm glad you have better sense than those people. Best wishes, GhV
Mortimer Deathly?!?!?! don't tell me poor Theo's gonna die! Wait, I should probably read the rest of the story... evil attack platypi? I have to remember that for casual conversation! ooooooo! The return of Sirius! I give Theo cridit for remembering that and bringing back one of my favorites! But wait, could he also brong poor Regulus back too? I was kinda confused for a little bit, but once I got to the end, I understood it alot more. Great job. 1000000000000000/10 {Becca}
Author's Response: Thank you! This was very weird and confusing, wasn\'t it? He technically couldn\'t bring back Regulus, because Regulus is actually dead, wheareas Sirius just fell behind the veil... Also, I wrote this far before the Deathly Hallows book came out, so I didn\'t know Regulus was RAB. (I thought that the idea of him being RAB was too obvious... I thought it must be either Rodolphus and Bellatrix or else-- and this is the theory I stuck to for years-- Mr. Borgin, who he used to work for.)
