Hobbies: Writing Fanfiction, Nonsensical Xanga entries and corny romances, reading, riding bikes, playing with my dog, surfing the web, going on AIM, talking to friends, obsessing about John Steinbeck and holding make-believe conversations with people...you guessed it, I'm a little insane.
Lifelong Wish: To wake up, get the mail and find a Hogwarts letter addressed to myself.
Idols: Jesus, J.K. Rowling, George Orwell, John Steinbeck, Margo Mayer
Just A Little More About Me: I am a student who cares for just about nothing more than Jesus, family and Harry Potter. My discovery of this wonderful website came around while I was visiting a dear friend, and we were looking for news of the release of Half Blood Prince. During our search, we were delighted to find a copy of "The Seventh Horcrux," a lovely piece of fanfiction written by an author I look up to by the penname of Melindaleo. Since then, MNFF and I have been inseparable, particularly in the long summer months. Our relationship could be easily compared to James Potter and Sirius Black. I wish desperately to advance my writing skills to the level of those whom I have chosen as favorites. I have only posted one fic, a short little piece of poetry about Sirius Black. *squeals like the annoying little fangirl that she is*
Long Live JKR. I hope one day she will become a dictator and turn the world into a wonderful place blossoming with Harry Potter references.
YAY!
Lily Evans and James Potter share absolutely nothing in common, not even their feelings for each other. Lily, perceived as a ‘model student,’ detests the handsome, popular, Quidditch star James, who she thinks to be something of a git. James, on the contrary, has been infatuated with Lily for years, and has let her and the whole school know it.
As time progresses into Voldemort’s ‘reign of terror,’ the two have to learn to trust, tolerate, and love each other.
Please note, this story is incomplete, and will likely remain so for a long time. I apologize!
NOOOOOOOOO! Not the end of the chapter!!! Oh, gosh. So, I just started reading this tonight, and I must say that it is SUPERB. Everything from your dialogue to your descriptions and word choices is simply awesome. Now please, please, PLEASE, update, as your cliffhanger has left me in a horrible state. And one more thing, I'm afraid to tell you that I have taken extreme disliking to "The Notebook"...it made me bawl my eyes out in front of all my friends...^__^
Keep up the good writing!
UPPPPPPPDDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAATTTTEEEEEE NNNOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW!
please? just one more chapter. i think i might die. the suspense is killing me. you are the best author. ever. yes, ever. gah.
p.s. update? please???
okay, i KNOW i already reviewed, but i am beginning to believe you WANT me to commit suicide. THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME, AND YOU HAVEN'T UPDATED IN A YEAAAARRRRR!
please?
for me?
for HUMANKIND???
just update, alright?
OH. MY. GOSH.
How could you leave us on such a big cliffhanger!?!?! Anyways, I love what you're doing with the story, and I love where it's going. Most of all, however, I love the fact that you UPDATED!!! :D
You're an extremely talented author. Keep it up!
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'm glad you think so -- and I'm glad you enjoyed the update! I'll try and update much sooner (especially because of the rather awful cliffhanger.)
Oh my goodness!!!! Ted's a Death Eater!!!! This chapter has to be one of your best. And TRUST ME- there is no way I'm going to lose interest on you now. This story has already had about fifty spectacular climaxes. You are a WONDERFUL author. Keep it up, and I can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad to know you're hooked! This chapter was fun to write; it's good to know you enjoyed reading it, too :)
Ahhh! I hate Ted!!!!!
It seemed like this was a shorter chapter, but I think it only made the words you wrote even more powerful. This was great--suspenseful, captivating, and just a little upsetting. :)
Keep it up!
Author's Response: This was shorter than the chapters have been lately -- more like the length of the earlier chapters. It was simply because originally this and part 1 were all one uber-long chapter. I'm glad you liked it nonetheless! Thanks very much for the review.
Ohhh.
That's all I can really say. Personally, I'm not as much of a fan of the Lily-and-James-breaking-up-chapters as I am your others, but this was great. This story is so action-packed and every part of it is simply wonderful. I hope you win the Best Canon Romance category for the Quicksilver Quills! This is one of my favorite pieces of fanfiction EVER! :) Keep it up!
Author's Response: Thanks! I didn't really like writing this chapter, to be perfectly honest, because I don't like the idea of James and Lily breaking up, but I have to for the plot. You'll see how it turns out. I'm glad you enjoy the story and think it one of the best!
I like the ending...I feel so terrible for James, though. Women are so mean and moody sometimes, eh? Anyways, nice chapter. I liked it a lot and I can't wait for Part 2. Perhaps it will explain why its called "Comfortably Numb"...? I don't really understand why its called that.
Anyways, nice work.
Author's Response: Yes, part 2 will explain why it's called Comfortably Numb -- I didn't really think of the confusion that would cause when I split the chapter into two parts. I'm glad you liked this chapter; thanks very much for the review. And I feel terrible for James, too! ;)
Hahahahaha. You probably don't read your reviews on this story anymore, but still. You are a genius. I'm looking forward to reading more of your work, especially since you share my love for Monty Python humour. :) Keep it up.
Author's Response: Are you kiddin'? I answer every review I get! ^_^ I get an email every time I get a review, and I still get excited every time I do. Thanks so much-- and it's awesome to see another Monty Python fan.
This is so intriguing. I love the way that you worded this...the dramatic sentences are great and add so much to your already intense story. You are GREAT. I loved it, I loved it, I loved it. This definitely deserves a Quicksilver Quills award.
Oh. My. Gosh.
Wow. James and Narcissa??
Awesome.
The only thing I would suggest is a little more background on the time and everything...but then again, that kinda makes it mysterious...keep it up. you rock.
Oh its so sweet.
That wasn't very constructive, but that's all I really have to say. Keep up the great writing. :)
Author's Response: But it IS constructive! At least now I know that I'm doing something right. Thanks for the review.
Oh my goodness. I LOVE this. I read a while back that people thought you were rushing the storyline, but I think that you're handling it pretty well. With some hard work, this could become a really spectacular fiction. Nice work, this is going on my favorites! :), Victoria
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the compliments, as an author they mean a lot. My beta sent me an email, saying she would send chapter three over on the weekend, so it'll be going in the queue then. I'll try to work hard on it... especially since September Holidays are coming up.
Lovely! It's sort of sad for the werewolf, really. But I enjoyed it a lot. I think it's cool how you kept the poem short...It makes your words so much more...powerful. Keep it up, you're wonderful. Oh, and thanks for the wonderful beta-ing you did for me. :) It got past queue!!! *squeals with delight* Hehe.
Author's Response: lol Congratulations for getting it up. And thanks for the lovely review you left me.
Oooh. Inspirations has some points there. I guess I didn't catch EVERYTHING when beta-ing. Nevertheless, I think that this story is lovely, and definitely worthy of many reads, reviews and favorites. I loved it, I loved it, I loved it! Can't wait to read more of your work!
Nice job, Vivian!
Author's Response: Victoria! *squishes* Thanks for the review! Don't worry, you are an excellent beta and you totally helped to make this story a lot better. I appreciate all your help! Thanks again!
