I'm Lena and I absolutely love Harry Potter, which, I assume is pretty obvious. I mainly got this account so I could review fanfiction written by others, but I may give this a try myself. Currently working on a Rose/Scorpius.

To Be This Lost Inside Ourselves by hpmaniac666

Rated: Professors •
Summary: All Hermione wanted was a cup of coffee. Now she has wet hair, a see-through t-shirt, and a whole lot of unhappy memories. How have the years changed Ron. Now he’s 24 and a successful business man/mechanic. It’s a lot to get her head round. To make things worse, feelings she used to keep locked away are proving harder to hide. She can’t forget about Harry. And she can’t forget her fiancé. Post-war fic

Great fic! Written very very well. I have just one very minor suggestion, that you add a little more magic, just to make it more realistic. Like when Ron accidentally spilled coffee on Hermione's shirt, couldn't they have cleaned it up with a wand? However, if they did, the whole story wouldn't have happened I guess.

Anyway, that's just my opinion. Again, wonderful fic!

Harry Potter and the Heirs of Slytherin by fawkes_07

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: This is an alternate version of Book Seven. Harry reluctantly returns to Hogwarts to train with a new DADA teacher, one appointed in specifically for Harry in Dumbledore's will. As the rest of the Wizard World reacts to Dumbledore's defeat, Harry develops the skills he needs to fulfill the Prophecy--including mastery of the Kedavra curse.

Mysteries are explored along the way, particularly the "missing 24 hours" from 1981--the span of time between Hagrid taking Baby Harry from the ruins of Godric's Hollow on Halloween Night, and his arrival to hand off Baby Harry on Privet Drive the following night. The Veil Room in the Department of Mysteries is also revisited. A traitor is uncovered, and Dumbledore's wisdom comes into question. And even when all goes as planned, things are not all they seem.

I'm only up to Chapter 7 so far, but I just have to say, this is probably the best Harry Potter fanfiction I've read! I love the humor and the way your own writing style emanates through JKR's characters.

I just wanted to say as well that I almost died of happiness when I read Harry's Sealer speech. Beren and Luthien? One of the best stories ever!

Also, I'm from Russia and I always cringe at the way people stereotype Russian people. But your portrayal of the Russian witches earlier on was fantastic. I realize that they didn't appear for very long and didn't actually have substantial lines, but it means a lot to me that they weren't wearing fur hats and drinking Vodka.

Great story! Can't wait to read the rest!

Author's Response: Thanks! LOL, I've been to your country and I found most people wearing gorgeous shawls and drinking kvass. Hee hee! I hope you liked the rest of the story as much.

I just reread this story a second time and, I must say, it is probably the best fic I've ever read. I love the way the plot develops and that Draco and Hermione don't randomly fall into each other's arms. Their relationship truly seems believable.

Keep up the good work! :)

Author's Response: Ah, I'm happy it's just as good the second time around. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!!

The Auror's Duty by Aelan Greenleaf

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Harry Potter was presumed killed in the Final Battle years ago, and those he left behind moved on, slowly picking up the pieces of the lives that had been shattered by the Second War. However, over a decade after the defeat of evil, a young boy is captured by a desperate man in the search of revenge. Auror Ginny Weasley is assigned to find and rescue Alex Ryerson from the cluches of evil and runs into his muggle father, whose emerald eyes are heartbreakingly familiar.

Date: 10/02/08 Title: Chapter 10: Inheritance

I usually don't like non-canon post-hogwarts stuff, but this is written extremely well, not to mention the plot line definitely draws you in!

There's constantly this lump in my throat as I read this because it's really tragic. I'm glad JK's Harry didn't leave like this, it would have been unbearable.

All the same, I'm really looking forward to the next chapter!!!

Dark Lord Voldy's Shattered Soul Club Band by Schmerg_The_Impaler

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Well... it's high time that I did something so completely insane that the wizards in white robes dragged me off to the closed ward in St. Mungo's.

So, I spoofed the entire album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" by the Beatles, to be performed by your favourite Dark Lord and choice Death Eaters in the style of a rock opera. Eat your lonely hearts out!

I don't recommend this fic to those who are not at all familiar with the Beatles.

Loved it! Especially "Dark Lord Voldy’s Shattered Soul Club Band," "With a Little Yelp from my Foes," and "Epilogue."

I nearly bit my finger off because everyone in my house is asleep and I couldn't laugh out loud!

Author's Response: Hahaha, thanks! It's not often I get reviews for this one. Sorry about your finger, though.

An Aversion to Change by Misdemeanor1331

Rated: Professors •
Summary: After his failed attempt on Dumbledore's life, Draco seeks refuge at the Order of the Phoenix. Sent back to Hogwarts with suspicious title of Head Boy, he is forced to share a dormitory with none other than Hermione Granger. But with war looming on the horizon and another danger even closer to home, their seventh year of Hogwarts is anything but ordinary.

A story of compelling intrigue, hidden motives, dangerous secrets, and obvious passion. Animagi, Quidditch, the Order of the Phoenix. Masquerades and riddles. Hate and love. Pleasure and pain. A blend of contradictions that, for two people, makes a truly unforgettable final year. Slow moving D/Hr with plenty of plot.

Fluffy? Perhaps. But well written and delightfully lighthearted. I love this chapter! It's a great reminder that even in times of stress and war, love prevails. :)

Author's Response: That's exactly what I was going for! Through all the dark and dismal, life still has to go on, ya know? :) Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!!

Oh man I love this fic! But now I really really want to know what happens next (I think I know, but I'm afraid of being right). Hah, I sound like such a fangirl.

Please post the next chapter soon!!!

Author's Response: Haha, we're all guilty of that sometimes, I think! I'll post as soon as I can. Thanks for reading!!

Why won't Draco tell Hermione about what he heard at Grimmauld Place? That way, Channing Orman could be out of there already (gah I hate him!).

But fantastic fanfic, of course. :)

Author's Response: Hm, don't know. Maybe he has an idea of his own? Haha, guess we'll see! But thanks for the review; I'm glad you're enjoying the story!

Kickin' It at the Top by Soap

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: A Marauder-era fic - this story takes a look at all the characters we've come to love (and hate), as well as an OC or two thrown in for good measure. Follow the Marauders through seven years at Hogwart's, with appearances from the infamous Black sisters, Lucius Malfoy, Regulus Black, and of course the one and only Severus Snape.

There are a bunch of pairings in this story (although romance is not necessarily the central theme) to include James/Lily, Lucius/Narcissa, a splash of Lucius/Bella and unrequited Snape/Lily, and finally, plenty of Sirius/OC. Enjoy!

Over 120,000 reads! Wow! Thanks everyone!

What a fantastic story!!
At first I was a little hesitant about Anne Warlow (omg!notcanon!) but in the end she became such a big part of the story that I was terribly upset when she got killed.

I loved most everything about this story, the way you portrayed all the characters was great! :)

I'm loving this fic so far! I was going to wait till I finish it to review, but I had to comment when I saw the allusion to Farewell to Arms. I'm a huge Hemingway fan and that quote, well... I think it's one of the most profound and honest things ever said, definitely one of my favorite quotes of all time. So thank you thank you thank you for including it in the story, it made it that much better!

I'm also really loving the realism of Harry and Ginny's relationship.Of course we all want them to get their happily-ever-after because they, of all people, deserve it. Yet the way you're writing their marriage seems exactly the way it should be for them. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest!

Author's Response: I've always loved that quote, too. Unlike you, however, I've never been a big Hemingway fan. It may have something to do with the fact that I had a college lit professor who adored the man and forced us to read so much of his stuff that I got sick of it. Also, he was a little 'machismo' for my tastes, but he did have some great lines and that's probably the best of the lot. I'm so glad you liked my portrayal of Harry & Ginny's relationship. I don't think it would have all been happily ever after because, let's face it, what marriage is?

Kill Bill (And Arthur) by Schmerg_The_Impaler, Nevilles Girl

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: It is a blustery day in Hogsmeade, and Arthur and Bill Weasley are minding their own business. That is, until they each receive letters instructing them to mind each other's business in a most intrusive and rather final sort of way.

But this is not just about Arthur and Bill. They happen to be a small part of a much bigger, much more ambitious scheme that they know nothing about, run by a frighteningly powerful organization. What exactly is going on, and what exactly will Arthur and Bill do?

Written as an entry for the Gauntlet, by Schmerg_The_Impaler of Hufflepuff house (most of the Bill bits) and Neville's Girl of Slytherin house (most of the Arthur bits). Probably the strangest thing either of us has ever written.

Here's to The Death of My Heart by CrystalM

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Companion to Torn Between Ice and Emeralds. You don't have to have read it to understand, but having a background story will make some things in this one-shot make more sense.

It's close to Christmas time, and Harry, Ron, and Hermione have been hunting Horcruxes since Dumbledore’s death. Through a glimpse into Voldemort’s mind, Harry finds out that Voldemort intends to pay Hogwarts a visit. The trio attempt to head him off, but while there, Harry anxiously arranges a meeting with Ginny by the lake in hopes of letting her know that she still owns his heart. He will soon find out that another has stolen her love in his absence.

Excerpt:
I stared deeply into her russet eyes, willing my Ginny to come back to me. I could see in the tears now rolling down her cheeks that there was something on the tip of her tongue, something that would ruin me.

“I love him, Harry.”

Wow. That's all I can say. Soooo powerful. People call Ginny a Mary Sue and say that they despise her relationship with Harry, but your fic shows exactly why the two of them need to be together.

Very well written!
