THE GAME

My name’s Charlotte and I love the following things: Harry Potter, chocolate (Milka, Galaxy, Cadbury...), curry, red grapes, reading, listening to the radio, sunny days, Doctor Who, Monty Python, Blackadder, cheesy BBC Saturday night family dramas (Merlin, Robin Hood...), lemons, rollercoasters, having strange dreams, Britain’s Got Talent auditions, the Lord of the Rings films, sleeping, The Script, Vampire Weekend, Forget-me-nots, Anastasia (the film), Nutella ice cream...

Here’s a cool saying I saw on a coaster which I think is pretty awesome: You get better as you get older unless you are a banana.

Right – my fics. At the minute I only have my poem NOT An Essay On The Life And Achievements Of Harry Potter, written from Lily jnr’s POV, but I’m currently writing a mystery (sort of) series about a girl called Ricky Sage and a story written from Andromeda’s POV (which now has a plot!) I'm also roughing out a furture-generation story atm, but I think I've created too many characters to keep track of!

So take a look, and leave me a review if you want xxx

Oh the Insanity - The Thoughts of Hermione Granger by Hermiones_Revenge

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A series of hilarious journal entries and lists from Hermione, describing the insane "war" she has gotten herself into with Parvati. Insanity, and hilarity, ensue... A sequel to "The Secret Thoughts of Hermione Granger" (though it'll make sense if you haven't read it)

Note: Another story from "back in the day."

Argh! This story was too short! I don't really like long humour fics but I wish this one would go on forever!
I always thought Hermione was kind of a boring character... but now I love her!
This story is amazing! I am going to stop using exclamations marks now. But really, this story is immense. I'm just off to read all your other stuff now =]

In A Nutshell by hearyoume

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Dumbledore is going senile, Ron's eating is out of control, and poor Hagrid... will he ever realize his true strength before he kills someone?? This starts off at the beginning of the school year and ends with a detailed account of how Harry finally defeats Lord Voldemort. I poke fun at stereotypes and clichés in fan fiction, and even joke about some things in the actual books. It’s pretty much everything – in a nutshell (or is it nuthouse?).

Wow this was amazing! I was laughing from the moment Harry stepped on Trevor right until the end (especially during the Professor Hannibal parts). And, well, you've got to love flamingoes.

The Epic Tale of the Hogwarts Food-fight by Gin_Drinka

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: "Some mistakes are too much fun to make just once."

After Lily Evans, Head Girl of Hogwarts, starts a food-fight with James Potter, Head Boy of Hogwarts, they are both given detention for the rest of the year, and are assigned a 'detention journal', which the staff say will help to settle their 'overwhelming and disturbing differences'. We have come across Lily's journal; her take on why the whole affair ever started, her intriguing relationship with one ‘supreme git of the galaxy’, the extents to which she will go for revenge and where it will lead her...

"And if for some unknown reason you come across this, Potter, and the paragraph above does not manage to penetrate your unusually thick head and convince you of my stupendous dislike of you, I hope the following sentence helps: I HATE YOU!"

Questioning the Freak and the Whale by Phenioxsong22

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Lily has planned this meeting from the day she and James began dating. First, there would be the greetings between James and her parents. Then, dinner would come. This would be closely followed by a time to just chat and have her parents and boyfriend become acquainted with each other. Everything would be perfect. But this all changes after her sister’s insufferable boyfriend shows up, “Black” magic goes haywire, and her parents don’t return from ‘their honeymoon all over again’ until the next day. Couples battle it out, and it seems no one will make it out in one piece after three arm wrestling matches, a bounding black dog, and an angry exchange. This meeting is certainly not going as planned...

'Hard core not takers'. I absolutely love it! This story is really funny and I love seeing Lily not being 100% nice the whole time. It makes a change!

Author's Response: I'm so glad you've enjoyed it! And yes, I decided Lily had to be like any other human being and we all have our times of meanness haha Thanks for reviewing!!

"It Unscrews The Other Way" by Pussycat123

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: The line that probably best describes the legacy that the Weasley twins left behind after their Great Escape, during Umbridge’s brief rein at Hogwarts. Their legend lasted years afterwards ... but eventually, the only permanent physical reminder was the roped off corner of one corridor, containing a small part of swamp. The mystery of its origins is merely smiled at reminiscently by teachers, and the students can do nothing but spread rumours of how it came to be. When little Janey Weasley starts life at Hogwarts, the mystery is still unsolved. On a whim, and desperate for recognition, she writes home to her father, asking how it came to be. When Ron replies with the true story, a chain of events begins that might just be the making of the next true Hogwarts mischief legend ...

Things Aren't Always Black and White by padfootsgirl1981

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:
2009 QSQs: Runner-up: Best Romance - Other Character Story

Add together one ladies' man, one Quidditch player, one werewolf, and one soon-to-be traitor. Then, mix in one imaginative idiot, one fiery redhead, one clever Ravenclaw, and one blonde artist. Stir counterclockwise until trouble occurs, and you are dealing with one of the best-loved group of friends in Hogwarts history. Follow the story of the four Marauders and four equally troublesome girls. See them deal with their first encounters of love, sorrow, heartache… and Death Eaters. How will these future Order members cope with the ordeals that life throws at them? Will love blossom in what was once thought a highly unlikely place? What do you do when the person you care about most in the world doesn’t seem to notice you at all? Will a well-kept secret shatter the foundations of a seven-year friendship? Follow the lives of these friends through their last year at school to the dramatic final battle with Lord Voldemort two decades later.

Warnings are for later chapters, and any sexual situations are very minor.

Chapter Twenty Two: "The Snakes Strike" is in the queue. Excerpt:

Perfume filled his nostrils as Emma walked passed and Rosier’s gaze lingered on her bare, pale legs as the group headed outdoors. “Don’t you just love summer?” he inquired of Regulus, a hungry sneer lighting his face.

“This is ridiculous,” Regulus announced in a furious whisper, “we’re never going to get them alone!”

“Have faith, Black,” commanded Rosier smoothly. “Girls are well renowned for their desire for girly chats. I’m sure they’ll slip off the shackles of their chaperones soon enough.”

I discovered this story a few months ago and I read the whole thing in several consecutive sleepless nights and I'm so glad the next chapter is here! I loved it, although I wish someone would bang Sirius and Kirsty's heads together and knock some sense into them! I adore Hayley, she's so sweet and I'm glad about her and Remus although I am a little worried about those Slytherins. Can't wait for the next chapter x

Everybody Loves Janey Weasley by Pussycat123

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Third one-shot in the Janey Weasley series.

We skip ahead to her fifth year, although this particular saga is told through the eyes of ordinary, Quidditch Captain, Hufflepuff boy, Frankie, as he realises that even though everybody loves Janey Weasley ... he might just love her a little bit more. What’s a young, Hufflepuff Quidditch Captain to do? Ask the people close to her for advice? Ask his team mates for advice? Do something bold and daring for the first time in his life? ALL of the above? I guess you’ll have to read and find out, won’t you?

Being Janey Weasley by Pussycat123

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Fourth in the Janey Weasley series – oh no, it’s not over yet!

I’m Janey Weasley, and this little one shot is from MY perspective – lucky you! I’m nearing my twenty-first birthday, and there’s lots going on. Job interviews, family gatherings, along with lots of other matters of interest. Read on, and you’ll find out exactly what’s been going on since the last look in you got on my life! It’ll be amusing for you, I’m sure – it always is when you’ve a loopy family, barmy friends and boyfriend and ... well, mostly just the bit about having a loopy family. Welcome to my world!

Janey Weasley-Springs; My Mother by Pussycat123

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Fifth in the Janey Weasley series – and this time we hear from Janey’s middle child, Tillie.
She is eleven years old. Her sister, Day, is fifteen, and she also has a seven-year-old brother called Nicky. Due to leave for Hogwarts at the end of the summer, Tillie is utterly perplexed. She can’t imagine life without her sweet, innocent (it seems) little brother to look after, or her carefree, happy mother to look up to. But as the inevitable grows closer, Tillie will soon have to accept that time will wait for no one ... Note: Don’t worry, I haven’t cheated you out of Janey’s wedding – all will be revealed!

Another awesome story... I love the name Tillie, and Nicky's so cute and Day's almost as moody as me =]

Author's Response: =D I love all her kids, I had such fun creating them; but Day has to be my favourite by far. Which leads you on to number six ...

Hey, Nonny, Nonny by Pussycat123

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: “With a little thing called trickery, lies and deceit ...”

Based on the Shakespeare play, Much Ado About Nothing, this fic follows the Marauders, Lily, and her identical twin friends, Isabella and Henrietta (Izzie and Henrie to most) as they fall in and out of love, through complex, elaborate and intricate tricks, plots and schemes. This fic has everything. The Marauders, Shakespeare, humour, romance, devious plans and maybe even a bit of snogging here and there ... so are you ready?

“Then sigh not so,
But let them go,
And be you blithe and bonny,
Converting all your sounds of woe
Into Hey, nonny, nonny”

[Taken from Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing]

Reviewer: Goodbye_Earl Signed
Date: 10/09/08 Title: Chapter 1: Then Sigh Not So

I studied this play last year, and I'm getting kind of worried that Lily'll want to kill Sirius and then James will agree. Argh! I hope that doesn't happen. Great story though! =]

Author's Response: Well, I don't know the play too well (as in, mostly just the film *guilty face*) so this is quite a light, loose, humorous version. No one will be planning actual murder, don't worry! I hope you enjoy the rest of the story and it's not a total disgrace to poor Shakespeare (who must get sick of everyone reinterpreting his plotlines into something completely unrecognisable ...)

Reviewer: Goodbye_Earl Signed
Date: 10/12/08 Title: Chapter 4: Converting All Your Sounds Of Woe

I love this story! And I agree about Lily and James being adoreable...

Author's Response: Aw, thanks, I'm glad! They ARE quite adorable together ... oh, James! *Adopts as son*

The Cause by Pussycat123

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Marty Price works for The Cause, which involves several campaigns and petitions on a weekly basis. It has become common knowledge within Hogwarts that if you see her coming towards you with a clipboard, you should turn and walk the other way. Or perhaps deny all grasp of the English language. And if this isn’t eccentric enough, there’s also her obsessive written observations of four boys in her year, which will one day make a rather interesting book ...

Remus Lupin, meanwhile, has always been a little different, too. Poor, sweet Remus Lupin is, to the casual observer, the picture of a sensible, hard working student. However, he has three friends who have done more for him than anyone knows and they have done this because of his troubled past, troubled present and troubled future. Why the gloominess? Because Remus Lupin just so happens to be a werewolf.

So what could these two possibly have in common? And how can their stories possibly connect?

Runner-up for the 2008 Best Marauder Era QSQ.
