THE GAME
My name’s Charlotte and I love the following things: Harry Potter, chocolate (Milka, Galaxy, Cadbury...), curry, red grapes, reading, listening to the radio, sunny days, Doctor Who, Monty Python, Blackadder, cheesy BBC Saturday night family dramas (Merlin, Robin Hood...), lemons, rollercoasters, having strange dreams, Britain’s Got Talent auditions, the Lord of the Rings films, sleeping, The Script, Vampire Weekend, Forget-me-nots, Anastasia (the film), Nutella ice cream...
Here’s a cool saying I saw on a coaster which I think is pretty awesome: You get better as you get older unless you are a banana.
Right – my fics. At the minute I only have my poem NOT An Essay On The Life And Achievements Of Harry Potter, written from Lily jnr’s POV, but I’m currently writing a mystery (sort of) series about a girl called Ricky Sage and a story written from Andromeda’s POV (which now has a plot!) I'm also roughing out a furture-generation story atm, but I think I've created too many characters to keep track of!

It has become common knowledge within Hogwarts that if you see her coming towards you with a clipboard, you should turn and walk the other way. Or perhaps deny all grasp of the English language. And if this isn’t eccentric enough, there’s also her obsessive written observations of four boys in her year, which will one day make a rather interesting book ...
Remus Lupin, meanwhile, has always been a little different, too. Poor, sweet Remus Lupin is, to the casual observer, the picture of a sensible, hard working student. However, he has three friends who have done more for him than anyone knows and they have done this because of his troubled past, troubled present and troubled future. Why the gloominess? Because Remus Lupin just so happens to be a werewolf.
So what could these two possibly have in common? And how can their stories possibly connect?

It's five years after Emma Weasley and her chums graduated from Hogwarts. Ted and Ivy are married, Haley is working at Madame Puddifoot's while trying desperately to break into show business, Jordan's doing whatever it is he does, and Emma is an Auror trainee working as a guard at the Chudley Cannons' stadium. The Cannons have actually been doing much better lately, due to their new star Beater, Tyrone Thomas. Unfortunately, Tyrone is Emma's ex-boyfriend. OH, THE AWKWARDNESS.
Follow Emma through her awkward adventures told in her usual insane way, as she experiences angst, hilarity, obnoxiously strange people, misadventures involving a deceptively dashing cad, Haley's wedding, the birth of Ted and Ivy's baby, and her own eventual descent into LURRRVE.
Written for the marvellous Vindictus Viridian's Pride and Prejudice NEWTs class on the Fanfiction Beta Boards, based on Jane Austen's fantastic novel, "Pride and Prejudice.".
Nominated in the 2008 Quicksilver Quills Awards for Best Non-Canon Romance Story! And its lovely (haha) heroine, Emma Weasley, received two nominations for Best Female Original Character, while Haley Potter and Ivy Potter each received one! Thanks so much, guys!

I know I've already reviwed this chapter but I wanted to be the 500th review and in my other one I was a bit too shocked to really say anything that made a lot of sense. Okay, another grrreat chapter but I had this sickening feeling when Hayley was saying good bye to Jordan that she was going to be your 'casualty of war'. Why Hayley? She was my favourite character (apart from Emma, because she's just so... real) and I'm feeling rather distressed about this. I always assumed it would be Ted who died, seeing as how he likes to jump in front of bullets for people or maybe Jordan, because he would have a vision where we he would have to sacrafice himself for the others (although maybe that was a bit predictable). Still, I can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: WHOA! I got my 500th review on this and my 200th review for Pride and Prejuiced Plums in one day! And yeah, the scene with Haley and Jordan was a bit blatant, wasn't it? Though I'd been subtly foreshadowing it for awhile. I really like Haley a lot, too, but the point of her character is that she's very silly and girly on one hand, and extremely brave on the other... and we never really got to see her showcasing her bravery to its true potential so far in this story. I like to use the character of Haley to prove that you can't judge a book by its cover-- I like to have her do something unexpected in each book. An. And ever since Ted jumped in front of a werewolf to save her, Haley's kind of had that burden on her shoulders. I feel reeaally guilty, though, because I got so attached to Haley...

I am fast becoming a Potter's Pentagon addict! I'm checking for updates pretty much every day, even though I know the queue's closed! Argh, I think I need to get a life.
I was so worried about Ted, I'm glad he'll be ok. This story is so good! (I'm resisting the urge to use about eighty exclamation marks)
I also love Pride and Pre-juiced Plums - although I think Emma handled the whole ted thing a little strangely. I still love her as a person, though, especially her soh.
Author's Response: Haha, thank you so much. I have a lot of fun writing all of the Potter's Pentagon stuff, so I'm really flattered that someone besides me cares about the trilogy. I agree that Emma handles the whole Ted thing strangely... honestly, I think it's because deep inside, as cynical as she acts, she has a romantic side that holds up the Ted/Ivy relationship as something pure and perfect that she secretly kind of wants to have... and when that sort of falls apart, she's angry because it's fallen apart... It's hard to describe, but there's a lot of me in Emma's attitude toward romance (we have very, very little else in common, though), and when the 'perfect couple' I know broke up, I couldn't explain why I was so upset.

Argh! I loved this! I had to read it in about five different sittings because my sisters kept nicking the computer and so I was reduced to sitting around, twiddling my thumbs and wondering what the hell Jordan was doing. He and Giorgi were so cute!
I love Hayley! The bit about the cup made me laugh a lot. I missed Ted from this story though...
I liked the coconuts - Monty Python is just the best. When I went to Spamalot I tried to get my dad to buy me some of the coconut halves they were selling in the foyer but he wouldn't. He got me a t-shirt though, so I shouldn't complain (I wear that t-shirt way too much).
Anyway I thought this was amazing!
Author's Response: Ah, thank you! And I'm so glad you liked the Jordan/Giorgi. I have a definite soft spot for my Jor-Jums! I didn't include Ted and Ivy because I didn't want to overload people who had never read Potter's Pentagon with too many characters! They originally had small parts in the story, but I edited them out. Hey, I wear my Spamalot t-shirt all the time, too! It says, "I'm not dead yet."
