Pure & Proud by SeaIsleWitch

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Draco Malfoy and Pansy Parkinson were destined to share a privileged life until the devastating circumstances of their sixth year at Hogwarts tore them apart. Five years later, they separately strive to come to terms with the past and proceed with a life they did not expect…alone. Pure & Proud is presented through alternating chapters of Draco's brooding journal and Pansy's idiosyncratic diary.

~ Pansy Parkinson is written by Sea Isle Witch ~ Twenty-two year old Pansy seemingly has everything a young witch could desire; yet she struggles to build a life for herself independent of her pure-blood family's expectations and without her one true love. From the pages of her private diary, Miss Parkinson shares a précis of the past five years and then gives us a glimpse of her current challenges.

~ Draco Malfoy is written by Desslok and Sea Isle Witch ~ After spending a year on the run and then a year in Azkaban, Draco Malfoy was expelled from England by the Ministry of Magic. He spent the last three years travelling the Continent until he realised it was time to come home. Mr Malfoy discloses his journey back from exile, beginning with a statement to the Ministry of Magic in November of 2002. Complete!

I am curious about the history of House Elves in your universe and why they allow themselves to be enslaved.

Its ironic that Salazar Slytherin would be a muggleborn.

How to Hold Sway by lucilla_pauie

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: What if Hermione was in Slytherin? Would things have changed?

I don’t think so.

She would be a Slytherin Princess, still as golden, only more cunning and less conventional.

In this story, let her teach you in gaining influence over the very people who crave it.

LucillaJoanna of Hufflepuff is here playing Lachesis for the May One-Shot Challenge...

...And won Second Place!

You did a good job of keeping Hermione in character while making her a realistic Slytherin.

For the Greater Good by paranoia machine

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: In a world where the Order failed and Voldemort reigns supreme, Hermione concocts a desperate brilliant scheme to reach across dimensions and find a world where Voldemort was defeated and ask for help. And they find such a world, a world where Riddle was vanquished, a utopia where Wizards and Muggles live together under a benevolent dictatorship and Harold James Potter is the heir apparent of Lords Dumbledore and Grindelwald.

Why is Harold so hostile toward the otl Order? They hadn't intended to kidnap him. Since Harold had already decided to help defeat Voldemort, then why did he have his people attack the Order, risking the death of one of his future allies? I am curious of what Harold will think of what happened between Dumbledore and Grindelwald otl.

Author's Response: They did intend to kidnap him, if only b/c they couldn't ask permission first. He's not hostile so much as cautious and arrogant. And he didn't have his people attack the Order, they did so on their own in an attempt to rescue their missing leader. They treated the Order like a terrorist group that had kidnaped the Premier, until Harold was able to contact them. As to otl Dumbledore and Grindelwald, that will play a key role, especially in how Harold reacts to this new universe.

Part III of Romance Slytherin Style - You Are Mine by SeaIsleWitch

Draco Malfoy/Pansy Parkinson COMPLETE!

Kevin was a jerk but the fact that he wasn't a pureblood wasn't relevent. His actions should have been enough to condemn him. Technically he should be a half blood since he had a wizarding grandparent and was raised in the wizarding world. Tonk's father is a muggleborn. The Pure Blood office sounded really nasty. I wonder what the penalties were for people falsely claiming to be purebloods.

Für Das Größere Wohl by Tim the Enchanter

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Dieter Heydrich is a model German boy. He has perfect Aryan complexion, is an exemplary member of the Hitler Youth, and is fanatically loyal to his beloved Führer.

But on his eleventh birthday, Dieter discovers a hidden magical world led by an extraordinary wizard named Gellert Grindelwald…

Nominated for QSQ 2009, Best History/Mystery.
WINNER of QSQ 2009, Best Male Original Character.

Note: As you might have guessed, Für Das Größere Wohl is German, meaning: “For the Greater Good.” Yes, this story is from the perspective of the bad guys.

Your depiction of Grindelwald doesn't make him appear to be such a bad guy. It would be ironic if his defeat results in Durmstrang becoming pureblood only again.

Author's Response:

To many people, Hitler didn’t seem like such a bad guy either. His personal charisma and likeability for so many Germans is exactly what made him incredibly dangerous, as history has shown us. I see Grindelwald the same way - as a widely popular, appealing figure who can get masses of people to do whatever he wants, including commit atrocities.

And yes, Durmstrang reverting to pureblood fanaticism after his defeat would indeed be ironic…
