Thanking EVERYBODY EVER for the runner-up QSQ given to The Cause. Honestly. It was amazing. Both Marty and I thank you! (I'm sure Remus would as well, but I can't claim ownership of him). I would put the banner up but for some reason it's not working (stupid HTML).

Potter's Pentagon: The Past (Book Three) by Schmerg_The_Impaler

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: The final installment in the Potter’s Pentagon Trilogy. Read “The Five” and “The Truth” first, myess? Okay!

WARNING! Contains Muggle adventures in Diagon Alley, unusual eyebrows, cheesy clichés galore, psycho Ted, the not-so-lost years of Merlin, a school-wide singalong, the old potato joke, Tyrone’s Princess Bride obsession, Emma’s stubborn denial of the existence of Tyrone’s mustache, a graphic death, a joke shop product as a major plot device, hobo Jordan, Jordan hugging, Jordan pulling pranks, time travel, the Love Shack, angst, and worst of all, Professor Zabini.

It’s the sixth year for Potter’s Pentagon and company, and our heroes learn that in the wizarding world, coming of age has a somewhat weightier significance. Students are busy with an Inter-House Unity Project, Jordan is having weird dreams, Pansy and Ophidias Malfoy have been released from Azkaban, Professor Zabini has a mysterious project of his own, and almost everyone is acting strangely. Meanwhile, at the Ministry of Magic, a man with a vendetta against Ron Weasley is trying his hardest to get him in the biggest trouble possible. Is the only way to save him to travel into the past?

New talents are discovered, new friendships form and old ones change, pasts are dredged up, and, of course, there’s lots of good old-fashioned snogging. And one of the five kills for the first time… while another becomes a casualty of war.

Starring 2008 Quicksilver Quills Best Male Original Character runner-up Jordan Potter, Best Female Original Character nominees Ivy Potter, Haley Potter, Emma Weasley, and Giorgi Anderson, and Best Male Original Character nominee Ted Lupin! Nominated for 2008 Quicksilver Quills Best Post-Hogwarts Story.

Wait a second, nominations are OVER? ALREADY? Well, that's rubbish. I hate to double-post this way, but I needed to apologise for being all *Hint Hint* when the nominations were already closed. I swear they were open for longer last year. Oh well, never mind. To make this less spammy, I will also mention something I forgot to say last time. *Ahem*.

I was right about Jordan meeting his match in Cecilia! I knew it! *Dances* That is so cool! I love seeing Jordan surprised by his own quick-judgement. It might be a little odd that I take such pleasure from him being knocked down a notch or two when I'm always like "JODAN!!" but I do. It's just so funny.

How did Ted's inter-house thing go? I can't even remember who he was paired with. I mean, obviously the fact that he collapsed is slightly more pressing (I blame the hormones) but I was just wondering if we find out how his is going in the next chapter or something. Unless we did and I just wasn't paying attention ... wait, wasn't his in the greenhouses? That sounds like fun. You could be sitting around talking about inter-housey-ness while the mimbulus mimbletonia (or whatever) was waving about having a good time. That would be much more interesting than sitting in a library.

Oh, and I also meant to mention the potato background. *Snickers*

Yay for Potter's Pentagon, I love Jordan, etc etc, update soon! =D

Author's Response: MRaaaaagh, I just looked at the QSQs... I was convinced that I'd nominated your Annie for the OC thing, but apparently that was last year. I think I'm getting premature Alzheimers.

What do you mean about Jordan and Cecilia being a 'match?' Because if you mean they're similar, yeps, they are, but nothing romantic goes on between those two-- Ceci's only a third-year. (IThough it's ENTIRELY feasible that Ceci is crushin' on Jor-jums.) And as much as I love Jordan, I absolutely love it when he feels awkward or confused, too. ^_^

We never directly see Ted's project, because it's boring. He already kinda knows Roran O' Reilly, they get to be friends, they make a comic book for their project, the end. I'm only really dwelling on Haley and Jordan's projects because the other ones have more interesting things going on. And because I'm lazy.

Yay, have a great time! The Little Mermaid used to be my favourite Disney movie.

I LOVED Tabitha and Tyrone! The thought of Tyrone with "GO TABITHA!" on his chest was hilarious. It's so cute that they get on really well. I mean, I get on with my brothers, but we still avoid each other at school as much as possible. Oh, and "She's the only other person who doesn't like my mustache" made me laugh too. Something about teenage boys getting all mustache-y never fails to leave me giggling for about a week ... basically, I loved Tyrone in this chapter. Yeah, that pretty much covers it.

I'm really interested in the Ophidias storyline though! It's good that you don't seem to be on the "He's just as evil as he ever was because he's evil and evil is bad and did I mention that he's evil" track. And I really want to know about the characters people are paired up with for the project, too! I can imagine Haley instantly making friends with whoever she gets, and Emma hating hers, Jordan being all obsessive and insisting their project is better than everyone elses ... it's going to be so much fun!

I'm also looking forward to Ted's compulsive-eating stoyline. That should be interesting too ... =D

Come back soon!

Author's Response: Thanks! I love "The Little Mermaid"-- weirdly, it was never one of my very favourite Disney movies, but I absolutely loved the stage musical! It was the most fun show I've ever seen. Tyrone's a lot older than Tabitha so he feels a bit... parental toward her. Which is good, because as you see in "Pride and Pre-Juiced Plums," he does end up being her legal guardian.

I went to an amusement park with a bunch of my guy friends today, and one of them has a very Tyronish teenage mustache, and he got really offended when I made fun of his. Even though he's had said mustache for as long as I've known him, and I've always made fun of it...

I've always been really interested in Ophidias' story, because he's a kid who grew up with no dad, not knowing much about his dad because he was always in prison, then his dad ropes him into joining him and Ophidias, who is a prefect and a top student, ends up in jail. So I wanted to see how that would affect him, after he's been in jail for a year and had a lot of time to think about it. Yeps.

I wouldn't say Ted has a 'compulsive eating storyline.' Boy was just hungry because his metabolism is ridiculously fast.

First of all CONGRATULATIONS ON THE QSQ! I was starting to think they'd forgotten about that. As you can imagine, I absolutely think Jordan (and you!) deserved the title.

But to focus on this chapter. Lovely, as ever. I was completely with Emma throughout her time spent Tyrone, practically yelling at her to kiss him (or, more accurately, practically yelling at my computer screen.

I also found it very funny when Haley said something along the lines of, "Maybe this will make him less boring." I adore those Potter twins. Although, to be your little British nitpicker again (sorry about that) I'm pretty sure that back in early medieval times, you couldn't be king of "Britain" because Britain didn't really exist as a kingdom on its own (England, Wales and Scotland were completely seperate countries, which they still are, they are just all ruled by the same monarchy now, which they didn't used to be). Then again, I just looked on wikipedia and that described him as the leader of Britain, so who knows? I also always thought Merlin married Gwendolyn, but that's up to you. Maybe you are right, and I'm just trying to be more clever than I am. =)

Anyway. Happy Easter for today, and Happy Birthday for the fourteenth!

Author's Response: Aw, thank you so much, you! I'm sure Jordan is pretending he wasn't very flattered by your review.

Oh, rats. You know why I said Britain, right? Because it's all Monty Python's fault. "I am Arthur... King of the Britons..." There's even a whole song about it in Spamalot. Ha, of course that infiltrated my mind.

I got the Vivienne/Nimue thing from a book of mythology that I've had for years, but I know there a million different variations on the story. (Like, Vivienne transforming herself into a tree instead of trapping Merlin in one). I searched Merlin Vivienne on Google and I got a pretty fair amount of results, but I don't know where it all started off!.

Happy Easter to you too, chica!

Yay, go Ted! I'm kind of proud of him in a weird, "What are you doing?" way. But seeing Remus cured was actually really sweet! Ah, stupid Deathly Hallows, why did you kill all the good characters?

And I was kind of proud of Ivy too. There was a lot of closure in this chapter, so I can't wait to see what will happen in the epilogue! Hopefully lots of Jordany goodness!

And I love you quite a lot for putting "That's in Canada," because it makes me laugh every time. AVPM is actually my favourite thing ever. Or at least ... one of them, anyway. :D

Author's Response: Hellloooooooo there! I KNOW, RIGHT, I KEEP FORGETTING REMUS DIED! I've been working on a new musical parody that's of Prisoner of Azkaban, so there's a lot of Remusy stuff in there, and it makes me so sad to remember that he died. And luckily for you, there is SOOO MUCH Jordany stuff in the epilogue. In fact, I'm almost starting to worry that there is a disproportionate amount of Jordan in there. I am SO glad you got the AVPM thing... I love it!

Good luck, I hope you got in!

However, I'd like to move on very quickly. HELLO, WACKY SEER JORDAN! We love you! He was so cool in this chapter! It was amazing! I loved how Jordan-y he was, at the same time as being all bizarre and seer-like. And the scene with Haley was hilarious, as he was raving about falcons and lions and she was just like, "Um..."

Basically. Yeah. Loved it. And Jordan madness aside, the rest of the chapter was great too. I adored Haley and Antony wearing the colours of each others houses. Could it be that the thing Haley achieves which Gryffindor never could is to UNITE THE HOUSES? Once and for all? Because that would be pretty awesome.

Anyway, thanks for a great chapter. Love to Jordan!

Author's Response: Haaaaay there! I did indeed get into the musical-- I'm the Queen of France and in the ensemble, and it's pretty fun. And I had so much funwriting about Jordan in this chapter. As for your Haley theory... that is a very, very good theory. That's all I'm gonna say.

THIS. WAS. AWESOME.

I loved it. :D And I totally didn't expect you to undo all that Emma-being-paralysed stuff, although I'm glad that she still 'remembers' it, because it would have been kind of sad for her to be the same person she used to be, after she'd grown so much so quckly. If, um, that makes any sense at all.

I also loved Ted. A LOT. Even if he did kill somebody. It was so sweet to see him all vulnerable. And I loved Jordan, possibly even more than usual (monkey boxers! He hasn't changed quite so much after all! I love that he still has a funny, crazy side, even if he desperately tries to hide it).

Basically, yeah. I loved it all. And I'm looking forward to the next update. =D

Author's Response: Awww, thank you! Yeah, I thought about keeping the paralysis and stuff... but then I realized it wouldn't make sense for Jordan and company to go back in time and save her THEN rather than going back to when she was better. EVen he's not that callous. But I'm glad you liked Ted in this chapter, because he's normally such a happy-go-lucky guy that I worried people wouldn't like this dramatic shift. But then again, if he blithely accepted the fact that he'd killed someone, he wouldn't really be Ted, haha.

Yay! Go Ted! Woo! Loving Ted in this chapter. So noble. *Pulls out "Go Team Ted" banner*

Also ... I KNEW Ophidias was slightly less evil than we thought. He should definitely stand up to Pansy ... possibly in defence of Ivy ... oh my gosh! And then force her to apologise to Ivy and he should become Pansy's, like, keeper or something by accompanying her everywhere and telling her off every time she's mean. How cool would that be?

Anyway. Good to see the return of Giorgi (and Jordan, of course, because, well, you know, Jordan). She's as good as ever, but I wish those kids at her school would accept her ... oh well, she's too cool for them I guess.

You know, I do believe that all we need now is some Tyrone and everything will be perfect. Oh, and for a Pansy/Ophidias/Ivy/Ted showdown of course.

Having said that, I find the fact that the Malfoy's refer to Ted as a drug addict hilarious. I know it's mean, but it's also really funny, probably because we know how far from the truth that is. But also because it puts hilarious images into my mind.

Well, anyway, good chapter.

Go Team Ted!

Author's Response: Glad you love teh Tedness! I am rather partial to him as well, hehehehe... As for Ophidias, well, you'll see more of him later, and you'll see if you're right. Yes, there is no Tyrone in this chapter, BUT! I have just had a one-shot accepted that RATHER PROMINENTLY FEATURES TYRONE! (And the crowd cheers... or something). And dude, don't worry, the Ted drug addict thing WAS meant to be funny. Ted thinks it's funny, too, when he finds out (as you shall see). Thanks so much for the review!

Yay! I'm so happy that Haley's not dead! But oddly ... I wouldn't say I'm pleased, but I find it incredibly interesting that Emma may have suffered some kind of permanent damage ... it's incredibly sad and everything, but in terms of character ... well she'll certainly have to stop being so independent ... I guess what I'm trying to say is that if anyone had to be paralysed, Emma is the most interesting person it could happen to. I mean, Haley would be very different, but she could still be happy and cheerful and a bit mad, and I'm sure she could still find a way to act (just maybe not in musicals). Jordan probably wouldn't mind much, since telemency is all about the mind not the body ... Ted and Ivy could probably deal with just about anything as long as they had each other, and Tyrone ... well I think he'd still be happy enough if he had Emma (he might even get a kick out of being fawned over every now and then, once he was used to the idea). But even though she quite clearly likes Tyrone, Emma still would hate to have to depend on him (or anyone, for that matter). I know because I too hate being dependent on others, and I have a feeling that may be my downfall one of these days =). So that's definitely going to be interesting (and as long as she's alive, I'm surprisingly undistraught about her situation ... how very heartless of me).

But anyway. Luna's "I'm going to really miss colours" was so unbelievably perfect that for a second I thought you might be JKR in disguise!

Looking forward already to the next chapter! And also woo, because this was updated yesterday, which was my birthday! It's like getting a present from you and MNFF! Yay!

=D

Author's Response: Yeah, I picked the deal about Emma because I figured she was the character who would be the most angered by this, because, like you said, she really is so dead-set on being independent. And it was a good call about Tyrone-- Emma would actually feel like she had a 'reason' to give in to him if he got paralyzed, and things would end up being all right. Kind of the OPPOSITE of why I chose TEd to be a werewolf. Ted was the one who could handle it the best-- imagine if it had been Emma or Jordan? Eep. And happy birthday to you! Updates will come quite soon.

I love young Merlin so much! I love how even though he's full of wisdom and knowledge he's still just a young teenage boy ...

... Actually, I kind of love most of the guys in this story. Jordan (of course), Ted, Tyrone ... sure, the girls are fun. But the guys make it special.

I do have some americanisms to point out though, mostly from this passage:

a green eraser that smelled like pears, bearing the insignia, “ERASER MART.” Then an ancient tuna fish sandwich in a Ziploc bag, sprouting fuzzy mould. Next, a boy’s muddy and sweaty sneaker, size 11¾. Then a Peter Pan snow globe.

Firstly, we call erasers "rubbers". And we leave out the fish in "tuna fish", we just call it plain old tuna. Also sneakers are called trainers, and snow globes are snow domes.

But I know that's not your fault, and it doesn't take anything away from the story. I just thought I'd let you know. I actually loved that scene so much with all the different transfigurations they did on themselves. If I got to do something like that, I think I'd do the same as Haley and change my hair. Only I'd make it bright pink or something.

Well, anyway, I'm glad this is back from its hiatus, because I was really staring to miss it! =)

Author's Response: Oh, wow, the Americanisms are kind of hilariously prevalent. (But in my defense, a 'rubber' is something... not so appropriate in America.) I should have known better with 'trainers' though, because I usually remember that one. Ah, well. And yeah, I like the guys the best, too... don't tell the girls, though!

Date: 07/28/09 Title: Chapter 19: Chapter 19: In Which Ivy Finds Fun In The Unlikeliest of Places

*Gasp* I had almost the exact same thoughts about HBP. A couple of years ago it would have been like "They MADE UP a scene and just ... SLAPPED it randomly in the middle? Death to Warner Brothers!" But now I think it was actually one of the best parts (aside from the Felix scenes, one of the only times Dan wasn't annoying). I kind liked how they had their own twist on it. I thought it was cool. I wonder why it is that nobody really cares as much about that anymore ...?

Anyway, about the chapter ... I liked it. I didn't think it was particularly "slow" like you said, just because it wasn't all action all the time. It was nice. Although it's kind of hard to imagine Ivy not thinking of Pansy and Draco as her parents at all, maybe because she was adopted so late ... I dunno, maybe that's just me. Go Team Ophidias! Also Team Ted.

Oh, and if by "climactic sequence" you mean "killing Emma", please don't! Yeah, I realise me saying that isn't going to change anything. But I really don't want her to die! It would be so sad!

Well, yeah, nice chapter. Looking forward o the next one!

Author's Response: Haha, the Felix Felicis scene made me happy... and I think the reason why we don't care as much is because the films have been getting less and less canon as the series progresses. So after GOF and OOTP, a little less canon isn't too bizarre?

I know what you mean about Ivy not really thinking of them as her parents. The story keeps saying that, but the truth is, she does. She's trying to tell herself that she doesn't think of them as her parents. Although she and Pansy barely know each other, she keeps trying to call Pansy her mother before she corrects herself, and other stuff like that. Of course, she does see Harry and Ginny as her parents, too, because Pansy effectively disowned her in her first year, even though she wasn't officially adopted till fourth year.

Aaah, Anastasia! I love that film! But anyway, that is so unbelievably not the point ... XD

I quite liked this chapter - your take on the final battle was interesting, although a bit crazy and different (not necessarily in a bad way though!) But my favourite bit was still the Pentagon etc talking about it afterwards and stuff ... I especially liked Antoly saying that the hungry dementor analogy was a bit much, because the fact that Jordan would say that to finish up such an emotional story was just hilarious and slightly adorable.

Author's Response: Hahahaha, yes. My final battle was really weird, but I had this... image in my head for years of how I thought it was going to end. Of course, the Anatoly thing was the strangest part because Jordan never actually said the 'hungry dementor' part... I guess my rationalization is that Anatoly is secretly a Legilimens or something... I actually have no clue. But thank you!

Reviewer: Pussycat123 Signed
Date: 01/05/10 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1: In Which Jordan Has A Bad Experience With A Hobo

That's weird, it cut off half of my review! Here's the second half (good job I always copy before submitting after losing so many to stupid computers ...):

To be honest though, I'm more interested in what's going to happen now with Bellowes and stuff (he's just so evil! Poor Emma)! Also Zabini's secret project, whatever that is. Unless ... did you already explain that and I just forgot? I have no idea. Sorry if you did!

But overall, yeah ... keep them coming, I love it! Also, is this definitely the last one? Because it would be a shame to miss out seventh year ... never mind, I suppose there's always P&P-JP!

Author's Response: What happens to Bellowes is actually kind of passed over-- basically he ends up in Azkaban-- but we will not see a huge confrontation scene with him, just because it's kinda obvious what's gonna happen. But Zabini... we DEFINITELY do see what his project is in the next chapter. This is the definite end of THIS, although we do see part of their seventh year in the epilogue (Which is very strangely structured). However, I always do have two ideas at the back of my mind-- one about their first year (because it has a very interesting storyline, I've just never written it), and one about when they're grown up with children of their own (I actually have quite an intense plot about that one). I don't know if I'll ever get to those, though...

Reviewer: Pussycat123 Signed
Date: 08/20/08 Title: Chapter 5: Chapter 5: In Which Professor Zabini Hatches A Diabolical Plan

TED'S CHRONIC EATING DISORDER! I told you he had one. Also, don't think I didn't notice that Cecelia was in Ravenclaw. I am dearly hoping that Jordan has met his match, even if he IS Jordan (speaking of which ... JORDAN!!)

"You WILL be graded on awesomeness!" was muchos hilari-ismo, and I was very grateful that this chapter came when it did, after a truly rotten day and the thoughts that I will be reveiving my grades for my GCSEs tomorrow (um, you're American right? Uh ... GCSEs are like OWLs only for us Muggles. And, like with OWLs, I've spent two years working towards them, except I didn't pass out in my history exam yelling that my Godfather had been kidnapped, firstly because I don't have a Godfather, secondly because, um, I don't have a link in my mind to Voldemort either. Unfortunately.

Uh ... I think I've gone off track somewhere. Where was I? Oooh, yes. Where is Antoly Capshaw from? Because I know the name but I can't remember who he actually is. Unless ... is he in Pride and Pre-juiced Plums? Is that why I'm confused? I should really learn to be less confused ... and stop using so many ellipses ...

Anyway. Muchos love for the story. And apparently the word 'muchos' which is a little bizarre and possibly not even a word. But when has that stopped anyone before?

The only thing this chapter lacked was some Tyrone lovin'. *Shakes head disapprovingly*

Author's Response: Yays! I always appreciate your reviews. And as for Cecilia, well, you may be right! I actually know what GCSEs are, but I'm glad you explained anyway. Yeps, I'm embarrassingly American, but luckily, that's one of the few things I do now. Anatoly Capshaw is indeed from "Pride and Pre-Juiced Plums" and had a few cameo appearances in "The Truth." Anatoly is the man who is writing the musical Haley's in, and working with B.C. Quinn. Emma hates him. Glad you liked ze story... Tyrone plays a big part in several of the upcoming chapters, though he's not in Chapter Six, but don't you worry. There's a lot of him in this story, more than the first two books!

Okay, I've not reviewed these last few chapters (you sure are churning them out ... not that that's a bad thing) so I just thought I'd quickly do this one.

I thought it was great, of course, but I have to say my absolute favourite bit was the Merlin dream (Love young Merlin!), and in particular his "Thank you for your support." So cute! He and Arthur are just adorable. And don't think I missed the Monty Python reference!

Also Hadrian Bellowes is an idiot.

Yay for the Pentagon! =)

Author's Response: Hahaha, the updating has been so fast lately. I am glad that you like the Merlin dream, because I wrote a whole story about Merlin and Arthur and I became very attached to the characters! ^_^ Hadrian Bellowes is so dumb...

Date: 03/18/10 Title: Chapter 28: Epilogue: There And Back Again

Okay, I feel like in return for and EPICLY long epilogue, I should write an EPICLY long review, but now I'm here I don't really know what to say! Obviously I loved it in all it's adorable squishy glory. I liked all the ends tying up, and the interesting choices, such as making Jordan choose Muggle-ness (although I guess the signs were all there now that I think about it). I loved the crazy manic family together-ness at the end with all the kids running about causing havoc (Nigel = love). And I ESPECIALLY loved that it was focussed a lot on Jordan and his future. Because I have loved Jordan quite a lot from the beginning, although Tyrone, Ted, Haley and the others were still just as amazing as ever. I really loved future Haley most of all, starring in Wicked and still having glittery pink toenails and stuff - she's so cool!

So does this mean that Pride and Pre-juiced Plums is an actual in-depth future of what happens next? Because I always kind of got the impression it was a fanfiction of itself, if that makes any sense ... but wait, what about the werewolf plot? Does that mean it still is a fanfiction of itself? Does the term "fanfiction of itself" even make any sense?

I think I'm going to move on before I confuse myself even more than I already have. Moving Ted and Ivy into the Shrieking Shack was actually amazing, and I now want to live there myself quite a lot. It would be so cool, because it has so much history relating to Ted's family and him and Ivy and stuff. Which I realise is the point, but you know what I mean. It was so cute!

Also big love for Merlin, especially when Jordan said he liked the idea of him getting a beard. That's just too cool for words. XD

To conclude: Thank you so much for writing this amazing series which I never wanted to end! I'm completely in love with the characters and I've absolutely adored following it along practically from the start! (I can't remember if I was from the start or not, but it certainly feels like it, so why not?) The only thing keeping me from being VERY VERY sad as opposed to just VERY sad, is the thought of P+P-JP! I look forward to an update already!

Author's Response: HELLLLOOOOO! Thank you so much! I love Nigel, too, and I'm happy that you've always loved Jordan, because I do, too, and I always kind of felt like this trilogy was HIS story, even though his role in the first book is actually pretty small.

P&PP really is just 'fanfiction of itself' in away but the only thing that is in there that isn't in here is who Haley marries. I really didn't want to include all of that in here, because then there would be no excitement for it in Pride and Prejuiced Plums-- she has the little secondary love story there. Her family is quite wonderful, though. We also see a TINY bit of Jordan/Giorgi in P&PP! (Yes, I'm allowed to say that now, because this story actually confirms that they get together! At last!) As for the werewolf plot-- ACTUALLY, that doesn't really happen, because there was the cure, but if I ever write a sequel about when the Pentagon are in their forties and Nigel and the gang are in school, there is a subplot about a resistant strain of werewolf-ness.

Thank you so much for writing so many marvelous, lovely reviews for me over all of these years! I've always loved hearing from you!

Aw, this was adorable! Plus, I had my last exam today (at least, until June) and so I was just wondering what I could possibly do now that I didn't need to revise, and what do you know? There's a chapter update! :D

I basically loved it, it was just so cute ... and it made me laugh that after all that, they could have just read it in a book that millions of Muggles will have just sitting in their bedrooms or whatever! That just sums up my life completely ... also that after all that time, it wasn't Emma and Tyrone after all. Also the potato which I actually laughed out loud at!

Oh, and of course ... JORDAN!

Author's Response: Thank you! I had the world's worst worst worst biology exam today... it was MADDENINNNNG. So it's lovely to come home to reviews! I'm glad you liked the little last minute plot-twist... and yes, this potato thing was in the works all along! ;-) Glad you liked the Jordan-ness!

That was beautiful. I can sometimes think of the deaths in book seven as just plots in a book, but other times I'm reminded all over again how terrible they are; and you just did that for me. There were tears. Beautiful. =)

Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked it! And hearing that there were tears actually makes me happy (I'm terribly sorry, but they do) because it means that I actually managed to convey what I was working so hard to convey in this story. Thanks for the review! It really makes my day to see so many people reviewing.

Aw, this was a really nice moment, even if they ended up hating each other, as soon as they went back to school. I've always kind of liked the idea that Regulus wasn't evil to the core ... especially since book 7, of course. It's nice (but also sad) to think he had this whole other side Sirius never really saw ...
