"You'll stay with me?" [Harry]
"Until the very end," said James.
- James Potter

He was laughing at her. "Come on, you can do better than that!" he yelled, his voice echoing around the cavernous room. The second jet of light hit him squarely on the chest.
- Sirius Black

"There was a clatter as the basilisk fangs cascaded out of Hermione’s arms. Running at Ron, she flung them around his neck and kissed him full on the mouth. Ron threw away the fangs and broomstick he was holding and responded with such enthusiasm that he lifted Hermione off her feet" Deathly Hallows (I think everyone thought, "Finally!")

Love, Werewolves, and Animagi by Mistletoe

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Hullo! I'm Lily Evans, and I'm starting my seventh year at Hogwarts soon. I'm Head Girl with James Potter, which I'm secretly thrilled about, emphasis on the secretly. Seriously secretly, like even to me, kind of. Well, I must be off!

Hey! Lily! Oh, sorry, so rude of me, I'm Anna, Anna Boothe. Lily's uh, hold on let me grab my trunk, it's just slipped out of my fingers. Where was I? Oh yes, Lily's best friend. We're inseperable, really. Like two peas in a pod and whatnot. Where is she, anyway? Er, well it was nice meeting you, I've got to go catch the train!

Oi! Did you just see Evans? I've been looking for her and I thought I just saw her here. I'm rather excited about being Head Boy with her; it'll give me a chance to show her the real James Pot--

What are you going on about, Prongs? Why are you even listening to this nutter? We've got to catch the train. Probably talking to you about Evans, am I right? He would talk to a tree about Evans if he could. Moony, Wormtail, help me get this starry-eyed git onto the train before it leaves without us...

You two are helpless, don't you think, Pete?

More helpless than two Grindylows out of water...

-----

This is Lily and Anna's final year at Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Lily is hiding her secrets from everyone, even herself. Anna is as noncommittal as ever. James is getting his act together. Peter is thinning out. And unbeknownst to everyone, Remus and Sirius are gallivanting off to unseen parts of the castle. Amidst all said frolicking, Lily notices something very strange about the single days that Remus Lupin is missing and all tranquility goes awry.

Behind those Emerald Eyes by makinmagic323

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Ten years have elapsed since Dumbledore's death and McGonagall has Hogwarts back on its feet again. Hermione and Malfoy both teach at the school. But when a new teacher is hired to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts, everyone seems to feel that they've met him before. A story of mystery, passion, friendship, and jealousy… not to mention that Harry Potter has been missing for ten years and Voldemort is dead. (All violence is mild).

Summary: 2007 QSQ Awards Runner-up for Best Post-Hogwarts

Petunia Dursley is enjoying dinner with her family when someone starts pounding on the door. Ready to tell them off for being so rude and refusing to leave when they didn't answer at first, Petunia opens the door to have a baby shoved into her arms and told she is his only family. Years after the great Harry Potter defeated Voldemort, Death Eaters have risen to power and taken over Hogsmeade, Hogwarts, and even the Ministry of Magic. Their marriages announced invalid, their children in danger and their lives hanging by a thread, the heroes of the war with Voldemort must once again take a stand against evil.

H/G and R/Hr

(pre-Deathly Hallows)

*Completed*

*Quote from The Epilogue*

Suddenly Harry was kissing her as if he couldn’t resist the temptation. There was a kind of frenzy to the kiss at first, a kind of desperate need, but it melted into something soft and sweet and gentle, a promise of a future when kisses would never be limited. When they broke apart he rested his forehead on hers, sprinkling a few affectionate butterfly kisses across her face. “I love you,” he murmured.

these lines made me laugh :D...

"Ron shrugged, “wing it from there.”

“That was your plan?” Harry grinned, “to wing it?”"

great story, im so worried about everyone though :O

Author's Response: Good! I had fun writing those -- I'm glad you liked them, too! Thanks for the review. :)

Well that was great, I loved every minute :D.
You're writing is so natural and flows easily.
I really liked how you made Petunia a kind of main character, and developed her so that she wasn't a horrible woman like she is in so many other stories!
I also loved the scene in which Harry and the gang were with James and Sirius. I could totally see that even though it was his dad standing there, he was more worried about how Ginny was :).
Loved the epilogue to, great way to end a great story :).
Round of applause to MagEd :D

Author's Response: Thanks very much! I'm glad you thought it flowed naturally and well! And I'm glad you liked Petunia in it! I had really been hoping that Petunia would play a greater role in DH.

Love Conquers by dumbly_dorr

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: If you're looking for the usual James-loves-Lily-but-Lily-hates-James storyline, then this isn't it. The thing is, Lily doesn't hate James at all, he can just be annoying at the best of times. As she comes to realise why she doesn't hate him, it leads to the famous love we all know about. Set against the backdrop of a warring magical world where nothing is certain, can James and Lily hold onto each other and fight?

UPDATE August 08: It's FINISHED! Thank you so much to all those who have read and reviewed this story, I have loved your support. i hope there are still people out there who are willing to read it. Keep an eye out for more stories by me! UPDATE February '08: I have changed the chapter names of some of the 'Defied' chapters, to make this fit and to make it more plausible, as I see the 'thrice defying' of Voldemort as happening when James and Lily are part of the Order of the Phoenix.

UPDATE 20th September: I have altered my facts in the chapter 'Once Defied' as I made mistakes in the ages of James and Lily. It didn't matter so much in this chapter but had annoying repercusions for future chapters. It should all now be correct.

awwwwwwwwww :).

I like the fact that you don't have the whole "Lily hating James" plot line which is in most stories, but rather focused on the part where shes falling for him.
So sweet and makes an enjoybale read with a wee cup of tea :)

The One Miracle by MagEd

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: “I’m willing to die for this war but I’m not willing to sacrifice my life for it! And maybe you don’t understand, but it’s not the same thing, James; it’s not the same thing!”

In the middle of the first war against Voldemort, James and Lily Potter's world is crumbling in around them. Will their marriage crumble as well? *one-shot*

Well that was certainly different...but in a good way don't worry.
Every other story that I have read about James and Lily being married during the war, they have seemed perfect. But this, this just brought it home that the war was tearing people apart...even James and Lily.
But I love how you twisted it at the end so that they were still together.
You certainly do have a great flare for writing :)
(as you may have noticed I'm reading like all your stories as I'm hooked haha)

Author's Response: I'm glad you're reading all my stories! And I'm glad you liked this even though it was a bit different. And of course they had to be together at the end! Thanks for the review.

Haunted by SaraWinters

Reviewer: k4c Signed
Date: 05/11/09 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Awwwwwww poor Snape (never thought I'd hear myself say that until I read Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows...and now you've made me say it again hehe).
That was such a good story, really made me feel for Snape and how much guilt he felt for his actions from his youth. And you managed to convey his love for Lily as believable not fake and forced.
I usually read romance fics (such a romantic hehe) but I decided to read something different, and I'm glad I picked this. Keep up the good work :)
(I think you've heard enough of my ramblings hehe)

More than Meets the Eye by lilybobily7

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: First problem: James Potter is Head Boy. Second problem: Why is he acting so different? The James Potter that Lily Evans knows is arrogant and conceited and loves Quidditch and bullying his “inferiors” with an unimaginable passion. This year he’s kind and charming and much more, shall we dare say it…mature. He is also much more distant than he has ever been in all her years at Hogwarts. In her seventh year, Lily finds out that there is much more to James Potter than meets the eye and together they set out on the long and precarious road to each other’s hearts.

Well, I said I'm not sure. If it involves dead people, is is a ghost story?

Sure.

Yes. Yes, this is a ghost story.

Thats quite a good story, I like your descriptions :).
And I'm guessing Ginny has died, and had come back a shadow of her former self? Like in DH when a person uses the Resurrection Stone?
A job well done, but I want to know more hehe :)

Sir Oscar O'Reilly by MagEd

Summary: Assigned to work on a project together, James Potter and Lily Evans find themselves getting to know one another through a silly game James has devised. A light, fluffy, slightly cliche one-shot. "Don’t look at me like that! I’m going to behave today." *one-shot*

Immense :D

The part where James started singing made me laugh..a lot :D.

And the bit where Lily said to him "i despise you" and he siad it didn't count because he already knew that, was a little heartbreaker moment. I felt so sorry for James there.

Loved the ending :D
