I am a twenty-something who fell in love with all things Harry Potter in high school and never grew out of it. The books are the best, but I love every single one of the films.
I prefer to stick to the canon-compliant fics, but occasionally I will wander into an AU. My favorites are Post-Hogwarts and Dark/Angsty. I never considered myself a shipper, but again, I go canon-compliant here. My favorite couple would definitely have to be Remus/Tonks, though. My favorite characters are, obviously, Lupin and Tonks because they're cool as hell, but I'm also a big fan of Dumbledore and his seemingly endless wisdom, Harry, Hermione, Ron (you've got to love the trio), Ginny, Sirius, and Severus Snape and his seemingly endless, witty cynicism. The Weasley twins are up there as well just because they're brilliant and they make me laugh.
Your characterization of Snape is excellent. That last line, wow. Dumbledore wants him to instill trust in Nicole, yet he can't help but snidely respond to her question and make her think that he really wants to kill her. I can't help but smile. Great job! I can't wait for an update!
Author's Response: Thank you, I'm really glad you're enjoying it. I think Snape has a fascinating personality and I really wanted to explore how he thinks and feels as well as how others perceive him in this story. Update will be coming shortly.
Good chapter. I'm assuming we get to find out what Snape took from the vault later. One tiny little error at the beginning of Nicole's POV. She says that Lewis would make a great sneaker instead of seeker. That's all though. I can't wait for the next update.
This was very enjoyable to read. Poor James, he's forever going to be labeled as the troublemaker...excellent trick Harry and Ginny played on him though. And, Lily, what a little firecracker. No need to worry about her. Excellent.
Author's Response: Thank you for your review. Don't feel too bad for James, yet. He is after all, half Weasley. There are more to come, so stay tuned. Thanks again, Terri
I really liked this little glimpse into the young lives of the Dumbledore brothers. i agree with you that there are too many stories about Aberforth hating Albus out there and you did a wonderful job showing more complex emotions from him. My only negative is the use of the Muffliato spell. That spell wasn't invented until much later--when Albus was teaching at Hogwarts--by a brilliant, young Slytherin who considered himself a Prince of sorts. But overall, excellent story.
I liked this a lot. It really conveyed each of the Marauders' different personalities so well. I'll have to add it to my favorites. Poor Remus...
P.S. I've been listening to your audiofic of A Little More Time and just wanted to let you know that you do a fantastic job. That is my all-time favorite story because it brings back my two favorite characters in the series and your characterizations are top-notch. Thanks for that.
Author's Response: Awww, thank you. Yes, I sigh a lot over poor Remus. So unfair. Thanks also for the audio fics review. I love that story so much and now firmly believe it to be canon because I thought their deaths were so unfair. Tonks and Remus are my favourite characters (along with Sirius who is just a god!) and my ultimate OTP.
An acromantula in St. Mungo's and heading into the Muggle world! Oh my! Great bit of writing. I absolutely loved your description as Tonks changed her hair from purple to pink. It was very moving.
Just a little note. Watch your use of the word "passed". Sometimes you tend to use that spelling when you should be using "past". For example: She ran past the acromantula. Passed would be used if your were to say: The acromantula passed by their hiding place. So, just a little nitpicking. Overall, excellent story and I can not wait for an update!
Brilliantly written. Honestly, though, I didn't expect any less from the writer of A Little More Time, my absolute favorite fan fic ever. Remus and Tonks are the best couple and you really have their personalities down so well. Should we be expecting more of these little snippets of their lives post-Portal? I sure hope so. I can't wait to meet the newest addition to the Lupin family. Please keep writing!
Survival. Separation. Reunion. Death cannot stop true love; all it can do is delay it for a while.
*A DH alternate ending story.*
I am adding this to my favorites so I can get the email notice every time you update. I was gripped. I can't wait to see where this story goes!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for adding the story to your favorites! I promise the story will go in interesting directions and have a twist or two. :)
In the post Deathly Hallows world Harry Potter is a broken man, rejecting the public’s view of him as a hero and seeing himself as a destroyer of lives. Although married to Ginny and embraced by the boisterous Weasley clan, he holds himself apart from true happiness. The only solace he finds is among the other shell-shocked victims of the war: George Weasley and Andromeda Tonks. But young Teddy Lupin is determined to unearth the joy his godfather once had for life and in so doing adds to the alternate dimension where the cost of Voldemort’s defeat was not so high.
In the alternate reality, it has been seven years since Voldemort’s defeat. Reclaiming his own destiny, Harry has built a new life for himself from the ruins of the Potter estate. Although he did not hesitate to claim Ginny as his own, it has been an unusually long engagement period as neither of them has been a hurry to take that next irrevocable step. For Harry, these extra years have allowed him to recapture some of the carefree days of youth as he established his career in the Auror Department. Determined not to follow in her mother’s footsteps, Ginny has been making the most of the intervening years to cement her career with the WWN. The Lupin clan has been steadily expanding with the eldest, Teddy, immediately establishing himself as a Metamorphmagus, sporting bright turquoise hair at birth. In contrast, his younger sister inherited the delicate beauty of the Black family. As her parents await the signs that will identify her as a witch, one has to wonder whether she has any unique powers of her own.
Although this story starts on a dark and disturbing note, it is ultimately a tale of hope, healing and survival. It serves as an epilogue to both, Cruel Moon for the Misbegotten and Harry Potter and the Hero’s Lament; and consequently, contains all manner of spoilers for the canon series as well as the alternate universe my prior tales have established. Reading those two previous stories is recommended. Contains original characters who were established in prior narratives.
I never thought I'd enjoy reading from Percy's point of view before...Great chapter.
Author's Response: So very pleased you liked my Percy! He’s a bit pathetic at times, but I always felt that he was just someone who had taken a temporary detour. Thanks again!
What a wonderful story. Once again, you have showed such a strong grasp of the characters of Remus and Tonks (even though they are not REALLY in this story). Teddy Lupin is, by far, my favorite Post-Hogwarts character and you capture him just the way I would imagine him: with the looks of Tonks. but the mischievous, yet kind temperament of Remus. I absolutely loved it.
P.S. Are you reading Pallas' sequel to A Little More Time? I know you, like I, view that story as canon. We just can't let our favorite couple go, can we?
Author's Response: Thank you very much for reviewing. I'm pleased you like the story. I don't write much about Teddy, but I think I may have to do more. Yes I have read the one shot from Pallas ans think it's wonderful. You're right - that story is canon! Thanks again ~Carole~
I like it. Severus and Sirius becoming friends in the afterlife is very interesting and this is a great start to a friendship that will be true, but probably full of annoyance. And I mean that in a good way. I always love to read a good Severus Snape story. Congrats on your QSQ by the way!
Author's Response: Thank you for the review and the congrats. I think they would have annoyed the hell out of each other, too. ~Carole~
I think you're doing a great job with this one. Even after reading your end note, I don't think that Dumbledore was a bastard to Snape in the 7th book. I think that Dumbledore needed to make Severus aware that the choices he made as a Death Eater got his best friend killed and, as retribution for that, Dumbledore is making sure that Snape makes amends for his actions by protecting Harry, even if he doesn't want to. I think Dumbledore knows that Severus would do this for Lily, but he has to be reminded from time to time that Harry is not only James Potter's son. I think it's a bit of tough love, really. As far as being canon compliant, I also think you're doing a great job. The personalities of the characters are spot on, even Snape. (Who I'm having difficulties with in my own fledgling fanfic). Keep up the good work. I am really enjoying seeing what Snape is up to during Deathly Hallows.
This is a great start. I'm really involved in it. I too wanted to see more of what was going on at Hogwarts while the trio were searching for Horcruxes. I am hoping the movie (both parts) doesn't stay too true to the books and gives us some glimpses of Hogwarts during that period of time. I look forward to your update!
Author's Response: Yes, here is one also hoping for different approach of the movies to book 7. I would love especially if they could "change" the ending slightly, so that Snape doesn't have to die that terrible way. (I am still living in denial - no body, no portrait, no funeral - maybe he hasn't die at all? But we shall see if Rowling just oversaw these things or if it was purpose.) Glad here that you like my story and I hope you will continue to enjoy it!
The chapters are short, but I like them. You're doing a great job with Snape's personality. Is he going to obliviate Hermione? I don't think he does. I was thinking about when Hermione conjured the beaker for Harry in the Shrieking Shack in DH. I think she knew Severus' intentions all along...I'm enjoying it. Can't wait for an update.
Author's Response: I am sorry for the short chapters - people told me the same in the other HP archive I'd published this before. The problem is that the opening chapters of this fic are to correspond with the canon of DH and I needed to be very careful not to "overstep the boundaries." They will be longer later on, at least some of them. (-:

I'm really curious to see where you take this. Keep the updates coming.
It just keeps getting better. I can't wait for the next update. Soon?
Alexandra Quick returns to Charmbridge Academy for eighth grade, angry and in denial. Unwilling to accept the events of the previous year, she is determined to fix what went wrong, no matter what the cost. When her obsession leads her to a fateful choice, it is not only her own life that hangs in the balance, for she will uncover the secret of the Deathly Regiment!
This is the third book in the Alexandra Quick series.
I can't wait to see Alexandra use that Time-Turner! Somehow, I don't think that her attempt to bring back Max is going to be successful and it is going to break her heart. She's also in for a lot of trouble, I imagine. At school and with her sister...I eagerly await the next chapter. Question: Is Abraham Thorn going to make an appearance in this book? I'm curious what he is going to have to say about Alexandra's exploits this year...
So...I'm suspecting Alexandra will be sneaking out to see her father during the Sweetheart Dance. Makes sense. Can't wait to read the conversation between Alexandra and Abraham Thorn. Should be a good chapter. How many more chapters are to go? I'm curious as to where this story is heading...
Author's Response: There are thirty-one chapters, total. Thanks for reviewing!
I am so happy to see Alexandra's third year getting posted! It was very interesting to see Anna's POV for once, though I can't wait to see what Alex is up to. I bet she's still in a lot of pain from Max's death. Poor Alexandra..there is still so much she doesn't understand. For that matter, there's still so much I don't understand...Can't wait for the update!
I'm really intrigued by this story. I'm looking forward to reading more!
Author's Response: Thanks!
