Starting Over is still an active story, but this unfortunately does not mean it will be fluidly updated, just that it will come up with a new chapter whenever I have the time. I am taking my time with each chapter, making sure it's the best work I am capable of within the realm of the Potterverse. I'm conjecturing that this will be my final work of fan fiction for Harry Potter, as I'm growing more of an affinity for my own original stories, using the experience I've gained from my work on here and other fan fiction sites.

Again, I do want to say how sorry I am that I did not complete In Nomine Amoris to its end. I could tell you how it was going to end, though I doubt it matters to anyone at this point, moved by Deathly Hallows as we were. I also doubt that anyone is going to read this profile information, but oh, well. It's here, just in case.

She has deep feelings for Tom Riddle Senior, the son of the village squire; and tries to make him fall in love with her. However, Merope learns the hard way that a “love” potion can create only a powerful obsession, not true love.

Finally, I've read another story of yours! I must say, I like the idea. The title is alluring (which doesn't always happen when a title's in Latin, because oftentimes the wording can get awkward), it works so well! I hadn't been able to read this fic of yours for awhile, because I just turned 17 and can now legally read it. I did notice what I thought were some typos, but maybe they were British spellings of words...I'm American, and wouldn't know.

You captured Tom's initial manner (when he looked upon her with disgust) and his reactions to being tricked very well. I'd totally feel the same way if I'd been duped like Tom was. I found it a little difficult to sympathize with Merope, though I'm not sure if I was supposed to or not.

Thanks for the kind review! To answer your question about the typos - they\'re not typos, they\'re typically British spellings. I can understand if that confused you.

Strangely enough, I\'m more of a Merope sympathiser. I suppose that\'s because she\'s suffered a lot more than Tom has. This story is meant to be a sad one, but it evokes different feelings towards different characters, depending on the reader.

Leaving me hanging...and it's so depressing how they're trapped in their own minds. I noticed one mistake (I think), and I really hate to point out any inconsistencies, because I can't stand it when people do it to me. You said that Voldemort had 'cast an Apparation Ward when he arrived' around the house. Now that he's dead, wouldn't the ward that he had cast disappear, as the bonds on Ron and Hermione did? And then they'd be able to Apparate the heck out of there? Well, just something to consider. Great work, keep at it!

Author's Response: Hmm, you could be right, but as far as I know Apparation wards are permanent until they are removed. Think about Hogwarts. The founders and Dumbledore are long dead, but the Apparation wards are still in place. I could be wrong =) Ah well! Thanks for reviewing!

This is a very tragic, heartrending story that deserves loads of praise. Even though I consider myself a Draco/Ginny shipper, I am able to see your story clearly and as a more realistic alternative to the Draco/Ginny romance. Of course, this would probably never happen in Jo's series (but neither would more than half the fan fictions out there). But you've got something speical here, and I intend to keep reading it.
