I've loved hp since I was about 10, and I've loved writing since about that time too. I've got a lot of ideas for new fanfics, the only problem is actually getting the time to put them on paper. Or screen. Or both. XD

I'm really happy with how "a mourning to remember" turned out. It was my first fanfic, and now I'm addicted. As is life. :D

At the moment I am working on some other fics, (Ron/Hermione, and other types too) but they definitely are still works-in-progress, for sure.

As Happily Ever After As They're Gonna Get by cjbaggins

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: My take on the first of those 'nineteen years' between the 36th chapter of DH and the epilogue.

Warnings: contains an unusually-shaped ring, a nosy neighbour, a rude shop assistant, shaving mishaps, thoughtful gestures, threatening goblins, and, unexplained appearances of Romantic!Ron and Romantic!Harry. You have been warned.

Rating is for *mild* innuendo and *mostly* innocent interactions but I wouldn't let my 9 year old read it.

i absolutely loved it! your style of writing is perfectly suited for this sort of thing. the dialogue was very witty, i laughed out loud at some times. this is one of the best fanfics that ive read, i just hope you add more to it!

Author's Response: Oh, I am so pleased that you are enjoying it. And I am blushing at your praise; I work hard at the dialogue, so truly appreciate your comments. Thank you so much for your review. cj

god, that was incredibly sad and beatiful at the same time. i almost cried, when she remembered him and forgot again when she was so close...absolutely heartbreaking, but that works for this chapter. very very very good! :D

Seven by A H

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Ebony Burkes, a skillful seventh year Hogwarts student has come across a book in the Restricted Section of the library. It is an old, tattered book, long abandoned, shoved behind several books. The passages are filled by hand, not print, and images in the margins depict peaceful characters, all consumed with what looks like glee.

As Ebony does not know Latin, she does not understand what the writings say. When she sees, in the very back, a picture of all seven characters depicted in the pictures, she unknowingly casts the incantation written beneath.

What Ebony Burke does not know is that she has unleashed the seven deadliest, most powerful curses onto a few choice students of Hogwarts. Those affected are those who have already felt the fire of these sins, for the sins seek out their most comfortable homes. And unless these seven can defeat their sin, overcome its pull, they will, without question, be destroyed by its fire.

oh man, you have got to write more! now im hooked, and i've got to figure out what happens next! i liked the bit about stairs "They were wizards, for Merlin's sake. There had to be an easier way to get from one floor to another. Even Muggles had bloody lifts." lol. nice job, and keep adding, pretty please!

Scenes from Shell Cottage by WeasleyMom

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: This fic is a series of missing moments from the time H/R&H were at Shell Cottage, beginning immediately after they Disapparated from Malfoy Manor. JKR shows us what was going on with Harry, but this is my version of what could have happened with Ron and Hermione after one of the most emotional/disturbing events in the entire series.

UPDATED June 2010 When I first wrote this fic, I didn't know what a beta reader was, and frankly, it showed. Thanks so much to Natalie for helping me polish this up and make it more readable. Thanks also to both Julia and Carole, whose helpful comments in the review section allowed me to make some much-needed corrections during the rewrite. I would love to know what you think ~ reviews are very much appreciated!

This was nominated in the 2010 Quicksilver Quill Awards for Best Canon Romance.

wow, i know you have heard this before, but i made an account just to review this fanfic. im relatively new to reading fanfic, and when i read this, i was totally blown away. even though i have looked at other fanfic, your story seemed a step above the others i've read. you really get the characters, their actions, emotions, even what they say, yet what their internal dialogue is equally important in this story as well. you captured the very essence of ron and hermione's relationship, and you didn't stretch it any farther than it should have gone... and you still stayed loyal to the context of dh. phenomenal job, this might get me interested to write my own. (i had started reading the first few chapters earlier, and when i realized i had accidently skipped over the last 2 chapters, you have no idea how happy i was to find our there was more :) ) thank you for writing this!

Author's Response: Wow. Thanks so much for the kind words, and for taking the time to register and leave a review. I simply love Deathly Hallows and my favorite thing is trying to imagine some of the things we don't get to see up close... like this bit. I hope you do decide to write something yourself. I have found a lot of enjoyment in writing fanfic, and its the best HP fix ever! Thanks again!

oops! i meant to put my review after this chapter, not after chapter 1! hope it doesn't make too much of a difference
:-} ah well, rookie mistake!

Author's Response: :)

once again, amazing writing. i was just thinking, maybe you could include the scene with the snatchers, a sort of prequel that leads up to shell cottage? surely emotions would be running high, from ron, but also harry and of course hermione as well when she encounters greyback, that "bloody wolf". (i barely contain a shiver and turn around to check no one's behind me.) just a thought. whatever your next fanfic is about, i'll be sure to check it out. :)

Author's Response: Thanks again. I know there are all sorts of thing I could add to this, but for some reason it just feels complete as it is. I may do a one-shot sometime with a conversation between Fleur and Hermione that took place there in the middle of it all ,but to be honest, writing accents is exhausting! Hehe. Thanks for wanting more though... that is so good to hear. I have a few other stories (not R/Hr though)... you'll find them on my author page. (And I'm working on another R/Hr... maybe late summer.)

ha ha, nice. :) i liked this a lot, u really seemed to capture the atmosphere of what things were like directly after the battle, and what both harry/ginny were thinking at the time. good job, and i hope u keep writing.

No Contest by WeasleyMom

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary:
Sunshine spilled down onto the small grassy spot through a window in the tall trees. She stood a couple of yards back, staring at eleven letters cut into rock. It was beautiful, and yet, to Hermione’s eyes, nowhere near a worthy enough tribute for a life so full of rambunctious joy.

i really like this one. truthfully, i never gave too much thought about the relationship between hermione and the twins. not too mention, i never really pondered the people under the humorous facade when it came to fred and george. i was close to tears actually, when i read the part when hermione realized that she cared for fred individually, and the part about grief was breathtaking. good personification! this story really made me think about how grief can transform a person, their family, and the people surrounding their family. great job!

Author's Response: I'm glad it was thought provoking. I never considered Hermione's perspective before either, to be honest. The prompt was a for a major character dealing with a a death. I wanted to do it with Fred's death, and Ron and Molly and George are the obvious choices... just felt like doing something different here. I might have chosen Harry, but didn't feel like digging into the Harry guilt... haha. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it!

Through Different Eyes by hogwartsbookworm

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Formerly titled 'From Wading to Redemption.'

Ron leaves. Ron returns. Ron saves me from Malfoy Manor. Ron and I descend together into the Chamber of Secrets. And, finally, Ron Weasley comes to understand S.P.E.W.

You've heard Harry's side of those stories -- but don't you want to hear my side?

Hermione's Point of View. Based on events in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

EDIT: This story, which was written almost a year ago, is undergoing a sort of Spring Cleaning. In other words, I am revising and resubmitting the chapters to take care of the things that now make me cringe. Rereads and new Reviews are welcome!

yay, i thought you really improved this piece. it was heartbreaking, but in a good way. you had some great lines there that really added to the emotion of it all. cant wait to read more, good job! :D

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the changes are an improvement!

The Boy Who Lived: The Tragedy of Heroism by xxwunderfunkxx

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: The seventh book left many things unexplained that happened between the final battle at Hogwarts and the Epilogue. J.K. Rowling has mentioned what happened to various characters after the defeat of Voldemort. This story (the title of which reflects Rita Skeeter's biography of Harry) includes some of the things that happened to the characters once the war was over. It also explains what happened between Harry and Ginny that brought them back together, and how Harry began his career as an auror.

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: As Death Eaters invade Hogwarts and as Harry Potter searches the castle for the remaining Horcruxes, the Battle rages on. Second year Ravenclaw student Owen should've evacuated, but now that he hasn't, he must dodge Death Eaters and even Lord Voldemort himself in order to survive.

Author's Note: I do not own any quotes from the book "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". Quotes taken from the American hardcover edition appear on pages 608, 609, 610, 638, and 639. All rights belong to J.K. Rowling, and I don't own anything accept for the personal characters I have placed into the story.

very interesting! i hope you add more to this story, i like it a lot. its cool to see the battle of hogwarts through the eyes of one of their average students. keep going! :)

Author's Response: Thank you for the great review! Right now I'm in the middle of writing Chapter Three, so it should be finished soon. Thanks again!

The Sweetest Thing by draco_roxmysox

Rated: 6th-7th Years •

this was inspirational, to be honest. this fic did make me feel that Draco was human, and it's this kind of fic that gives people hope, despite the somber ending. i really do hope that more people read this. excellent job!

Innocence by Evora

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: If Remus hadn't been born, the lives of the people he had entered would be different, correct? He wouldn't have caused them pain, disappointment... and grief. Most of all, he wouldn't have been the cause of why his parents' happiness was suddenly gone.

Of course, it was all just wishful thinking. He was still a werewolf, no matter what he did.

im a beginner too, and i really enjoyed this fic. you seemed to capture how a teenager would act (all angsty and angry). the bit with Lily was a memorable moment too, that seems to match what Lupin said in PoA about Lily, "she was there for me when no one else was." good job!

Author's Response: Yes, that line was ringing at the back of my mind when I wrote this. I'm glad you enjoyed reading it, and approve of how Remus acted, and the conversation with Lily. Thank you for reading, and thank you for reviewing! I appreciate it! :)
