xybolic.

Call me Aji. I am an eighteen-year-old student who studies architecture, though my real dream since I was six was to do animation. I am an artist; I draw and design. Writing and reading are my passion, coming in second behind my love for sketching.

People see me as a boring nerd whose everyday ritual is devoid of any social activity, which is partially true; I am a nerd and I don't socialise as much as one would normally. I am split whether I am a boring person or not. My best friend and very close friends would surely say no, but my sisters would probably say yes. I guess, for you to know, it would depend on our level of interaction as acquaintances.

Little facts:
-Contrary to popular belief, I am, in fact, a creature with two X-chromosomes.
-I tend to buy lots of books and leave most of them in my bookshelf unread due to my busy schedule.
-I'm an Evangelical Christian who is the only one in a Roman Catholic clan.
-I have been single all my life and I prefer it that way until--dare I say it?--marriage. And religion/belief is not the reason (well, partly), can you believe it? It's because boys are too high-maintenance. I love my 'Me' time.
-I already have names for my future children, and they are based on Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl. If I wouldn't be able to conceive, I'll adopt.
-I love Monty Python, A Very Potter Musical, Potter Puppet Pals, Phineas&Ferb, and Glee.
-I had a crush on Chris Colfer when they did Vogue in Glee.
-I hate Twilight. End of.
-During schooldays, I tend to down more or less five cups of coffee.
-I've gone more than three days without sleep. That's normal for architecture students.
-I've never smoked. The smell is nauseating.
-I love swearing colourfully and I borrow swearwords from my favourite books and shows. Dobby's sock.
-I did karate and achieved a black belt and a purple belt in two styles/systems/schools. Beware.
-I read mangas, and I prefer them over anime. I am picky with what I read though.
-I love thick books.
-My favourite punctuations are the semi-colon and em-dash.

My Writing, A History.

JK Rowling inspired me. I was amazed upon reading Harry Potter when I was twelve. That's when I began to write. And also discovered fan fiction. Puberty immensely affected my writing at that time; my genre was clichéd and shallow romance (that I have had no idea about, but I wrote them anyway) and my characters were Sues. My ego had been overly inflated by nonsensically praising reviews. When I realised that my writing was horrid, I left fan fiction for two or three years while trying to make my writing better. Afterwards, I wrote my Harry Potter fan fiction Albus Severus which was quite decent. Then I had another year of writing nothing until I decided to do Artemis Fowl flash fiction exercises to keep what I've improved on so far from deteriorating. I collected them in my A Nib's Babble in Fanfiction.net under the penname xybolic.

My writing is mostly in the humour genre. I think of myself as unfunny and not witty at all, so it makes me wonder how in the world this happened. Hilarious one-liners are hard to come by, and when they do (rarely, mind), I sort of build a humourous situation around it. That's how I write. Eoin Colfer also probably influenced me.

I have yet to find my writing style. I usually have hiatus more often than I write so my writing is a tad undeveloped. I'm trying though, since it's my dream to be published.

The Dark Lord's Blog by Schmerg_The_Impaler

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: What does Lord Voldemort do in his spare time? Well, that's an excellent question. Who would have known that the Dark Lord has a blog? (He also has a loyal following of readers, most of whom are Death Eaters and who post their comments.) Voldemort dispenses advice on everything from murder methods to germ protection to Power Rangers to shoes, and gives an account of the life of an evil overlord. But is he posting too much personal information online? And will Harry read it and find out more about the Dark Lord than Voldemort ever intended? Read and see.

WARNING: Extremely OOC behaviour from almost all.

RUNNER-UP in the 2007 Quicksilver Quills Awards for Best Humour fic! Also nominated like 21 times, because apparently my readers are as insane as I am!

Ah. Sadly, not everyone recognises Snape's bravery. Thumbs up on this one!

This is so sweet. But it was sad for Harry not too get in much touch with his best friends... I like the house idea though; I'll be an architect in five years.:P Wish I could help Harry. I can be an Archiwitch!:D

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the fic! Thanks so much for the review, and best of luck with becoming an Archiwitch. =D

Good ol' Dumby. A.P.W.B.D.
haha. Love it. And putting Al as one of the main characters. I love Al!xD

Author's Response: My beta will be so glad you picked up on that, yay! Yes, that was our dear old Dumbledore. I actually toyed with the idea of starting with him (or even a Founder) but my beta had the great idea of using his initials. Thank you for reading this story, I'm so glad you liked it. And thank you for leaving such a nice review!! ~Gina :)
