A Little More Time by Pallas

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Was it possible to save two lives in the past without altering history? Was it possible to give his parents a future twenty years after they had supposedly died? Teddy Lupin thought so...

Date: 06/09/12 Title: Chapter 26: Epilogue: Beyond the Portal

Hi, couldn’t stop reading your story- wonderfully written and Tonks is so canon- loved her frequent frustrated outbursts at the ‘Nobel Prats United’- (nice name there, may be we should start a fanpage, or a Quidditch Club :D). Loved your logical explanations about morphing inside the portal too- very scientific and easy to understand and believe. You kept the suspense and anxiety threads all taut and stretched till the end, I could barely stop to breathe- and the epilogue was so adorable- everybody turning up to see them, Flitwick, the kids, Mundungus… Urgh, from where did you get Sproule and DeWinter? They need the severest case of Ginny’s bat bogey hexes.
You know, I would love to read oneshots about Tonks turning up to meet Sirius with hair tonic and Umbridge's trial. P.S: So glad to know Hermione's still keeping an eye on bugs.

Hogwarts Houses Divided by Inverarity

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary:

Teddy Lupin's first year at Hogwarts. Canon-compliant. Nominated for a 2008 QSQ for best Post-Hogwarts story.

The war is over, and all is well, they say, but the wounds remain unhealed. Bitterness divides the Houses of Hogwarts. Can the first children born since the war's end begin a new era, or will the enmities of their parents be their permanent legacy?

Brilliant. I read it in one go, my neck hurts now from sitting in front of the PC.
Special mention of the marauders! They rocked.

The Lions of Gryffindor by Equinox Chick

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: It is June 1976 and The Marauders are at the top of their game. From the outside they look to have everything. But appearances, as the saying goes, can be deceptive.

James is discovering that not everything in life is his for the taking. Sirius knows he will have to defy his formidable family. Remus lives in constant fear of his life beyond Hogwarts. As for Peter... Well, Peter is struggling to live up to his friends.

The ties of friendship are strong, but war is raging and with a dark power rising those ties will inevitably fray.

Added to the mix is an adversary called Severus Snape, some lost House Points, a prank or two and a whole lot of Lily.

This is a Marauder tale.

This is a story of what made them special.

This is a story of why it started to go wrong for The Lions of Gryffindor.

OH MY GOOD GODRIC! Lions of Gryffindor won the 2009 QSQ for Best Marauders' Era Story. Amazed and incredibly grateful to those who nominated, judged and have beta'd this fic. THANK YOU.

My my, what shall I say? Haven't studied physics since I quit school and went on to study literature- but you still hooked me. And Regulus Black - he's one of the characters I wish JKR had told us more about, and your Regulus is one of the most complex, intriguing and brilliant one I've come across. Love your Sirius too- I don't think I've ever come across a Sirius so well done in all his anxieties and complexities. I liked your brief portrait of James and lily, the little glance at Remus. I loved Minerva asking about James and Lily dating- that one was classic McGonagall. How do you do every character so perfectly? Only thing, I strongly believe that the Order doesn't kill in cold blood, and Sirius said somewhere that Moody never killed if he could help it...Your ending really leaves me mystified, though it's a little off-canon, but I like that better.I mean, ever since reading DH- wouldn't Voldemort know if RAB disappeared, and wouldn't that news reach the Order? Then why would Sirius believe him to be murdered? I loved Adele too, wonderful OC, the Carrows are perfectly canonical, and last but not the least, I loved the way Regulus imagined Harry Potter.

Love Beyond Forever by mudbloodproud

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: The year is 1979 and the Marauders are out of school and working for the Order. One Marauder is about to get married, one is finding life outside school harder than even he expected, one is about to turn traitor and one is about to fall in love.

When Sirius Black flew away from the two Muggle policemen with James Potter on the back of his motorbike, he didn’t know he was about to come face to face with the one person who could change everything.

Abigail Sampson was a shy, unassuming girl when she went to school at Hogwarts. She was friends with Lily Evans, but not the Marauders. She graduated and went to work for the Ministry. What very few people knew was she also went to work for the Order.

What happens when this shy girl finds herself working with one Sirius Black to discover the truth behind his brother’s disappearance? Could this quiet girl hold her own with the legendary Sirius Black? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This story starts immediately after J. K. Rowling’s prequel which she wrote for charity. If you can find a copy to read, I would suggest reading it before reading this story. Of course, you don’t need to read it to understand this story, but you may feel as if you missed something in the beginning of this story. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

By the end there will be a slight hint at Alternate Universe. I believe what happens in this story was possible, but it strays a bit from what we know of in canon. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is the prequel to my story The Unknown Heir. Though both stand on their own.

Sirius leaned back comfortably on the sofa and began his story, never once wondering how Peter knew something happened.

Ominous. Eerie.

Thank you for your time, Professor by Equinox Chick

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: It is April 1976, and Minerva McGonagall sits in her office, arranging biscuits on a plate. She knows she faces a stormy afternoon because today is the day she has to advise her four most troublesome students on their future. They call themselves the Marauders; they think they want the same thing, but Minerva knows that the differences between them will not work in everyone's favour. And so, she steels herself for a very difficult day.

This is Equinox Chick submitting her final for the MWPP class.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling, but I doubt that shocks you.

This story is very much a prequel to The Lions of Gryffindor, but either can be read without knowledge of the other.

Oh this was a gem. And I really feel bad for Sirius and Remus. And if Dawlish can be an auror, I'm sure Sirius can be one too.

Author's Response: Dawlish was an idiot, true, but I think that was because he kept getting Confunded. I have a feeling Sirius was too reckless, but also McG felt she had to give him a wake-up call. It's Remus I feel most for because there wasn't anything for him - especially after his friends had gone :( Thank you for the reviewwwww. ~Carole~

Grave Days by Northumbrian

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Front page: THE DAILY PROPHET 4 May 1998

TOM RIDDLE – THE SELF-STYLED LORD VOLDEMORT

Editors Note: At the request of the Ministry for Magic this Official Statement issued by the Office of the Minister is produced full and unedited.

OFFICIAL MINISTRY STATEMENT

This official statement has been compiled with the assistance and co-operation of Mr Harry Potter.

“Lord Voldemort” was, in fact a man named Tom M. Riddle, son of a witch, Merope Gaunt and a Muggle, Tom Riddle Senior. The Ministry has decided that in all future official publications Riddle will be referred to by his given name.

There has already been much speculation and wild rumour regarding the events at Hogwarts School. The Ministry can confirm that Tom M. Riddle was killed at dawn on the morning of Saturday, 2 May. Riddle was disarmed by Harry Potter while in the act of firing a killing curse at Mr Potter. The curse killed Riddle rather than its intended target.

Continued on page 4

WHERE IS HARRY POTTER?

Despite the Official Ministry Statement (published above) we are no closer to receiving an answer to the question on the lips of every witch and wizard in the country. Where is Harry Potter?

It appears that Mr Potter left Hogwarts School early yesterday morning, apparently in the company of his close associates Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley. An attractive young Ministry clerk, who did not wish to be named, told The Prophet “He’s at the Ministry, having an important meeting with the Minister. My friends and I saw him. He asked us out to the pub, but we had to turn him down.” This statement is at odds with a report from the Portkey Office that Mr Potter has fled the country, travelling to Australia with his companions.

Charlie and perfect Percy exchanging wicked grins in anticipation of looking after George? What is this world coming too? And "Arthur, will you put down that plug?" heh heh! I understand Mr. Granger's point, but he is being way too harsh.

Author's Response: One brother with a hangover, two without. Wicked grins are the only option. Mr Gragnger is, I hope, understandably angry. -N-

Sixth Time's the Charm by Equinox Chick

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: James Potter had asked her before for a date, several times, although not always for himself. Now, as Lily Evans gazes at her reflection in the mirror, she wonders why he keeps asking her and just why she's finally said yes.

I am Equinox Chick of Hufflepuff and this story has been written for the first round of the Character Clinic Triathlon over at the MNFF beta boards. Prompt: First Kiss.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling. Her lawyers agree, so don't get them riled by confusing us.

Thank you very much to Natalie (hestiajones) for beta'ing this fic for me. I need to also add that Natalie may be a Hufflepuff, but she does not have fluffy hair and in no way resembles the Hestia Jones that appears in this story. Finally, you may recognise some OC's from my fic Lions of Gryffindor. This isn't exactly 'caron' compliant with that story, but it kinda fits ... in parts ... sort of.

Fred and George's Busy Day by Northumbrian

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:
WINNER of the BEST GENERAL story – Quicksilver Quills Awards 2010.
In the weeks and months after their eldest brother’s wedding Fred and George Weasley continued to run their business. Two decent honest and respectable businessmen, they had no involvement at all in any illicit conduct. They certainly didn’t get involved in any anti-Voldemort activities. Definitely not. No. Not them. Never. They wouldn’t. Honestly.
