Cain and Abel by Sainyn Swiftfoot

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary:
Two friends, close enough to be brothers.

What does it take to destroy their friendship?

Very little.

[one-shot, featuring Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs.]

This is Sainyn Swiftfoot of Hufflepuff writing for the final of the MWPP class.

Snape is Abel and Sirius is Cain?
Or is it James and Peter?

Anyway I was looking for something new Marauder-ish to read and the title caught my attention.... It was an enjoyable read.

I guess the Slytherin family heritage's coming out in Sirius he attempts to deny James.

I really liked the line 'Whoa, stag, lower those antlers!' :)

Great fic...!

A Marriage Made at Hogwarts by hestiajones

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Draco Malfoy and Ronald Weasley loathed each other at Hogwarts, and little has changed over the years. No one in their right wand would have ever expected them to become in-laws. But Hogwarts is a funny place where many things become possible. And now, everyone has to accept it – Scorpius Malfoy and Rose Weasley are getting married today…

This is a very interesting story! Please do continue it at some time.

I have a question, why does Draco remember Hermione's bravery in slapping him? Wouldn't the events at Malfoy Manor have eclipsed it thoroughly??

Just wondering...

I have some more questions, please:
Who invented The Wave?

Why does Harry keep the rubble of his parents house? Weren't his memories of the place tainted by loss and Voldemort?

Finally, Why would he keep the Marauder's Map in glass case, as if it is a relic? Wouldn't MWPP want it used??

Wish you hadn't lost the manuscripts! :)

Tales of the Battle by Northumbrian

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary:
Over fifty people died at the Battle of Hogwarts. There are dozens of stories of loss, betrayal, heroism and sacrifice. These are some of those stories.

Reviewer: annegirl_shruti Signed

Okay, I thought that chapter 5 says Augusta Longbottom watched Roldolphus Lestrange die. But here, Lucius Malfoy says he escaped. I'm confused and I think Malfoy is too....

Author's Response: Thanks for spotting the error. I had managed to switch Rodolphus and Rabastan in this chapter. It's now fixed (as are all of those annoying symbols, I hope). -N-

I know that you say that this story started out with the werewolf case but what makes it so true to life for me is the little things which might have been omitted if the focus had solely been on the mystery, like the parents dividing up on the jobs of looking after the children, which one has experienced with their parents.

I also love how you've paid attention to each detail as when Ron chastises Harry about the timing of the party.

Another part that I love is when Rose corrects Henry and James that its ‘swimming time.’ It reminds me so strongly of the trio days at Hogwarts.

This is a wonderful story! Please update soon!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review.
This certainly has moved in a different way to that which I’d originally intended. But it’s certainly a popular story. The mystery will continue to run (usually) in the background.
My writing regarding parenting is woven from the DH Epilogue, which I think is brilliant (although sometimes I think I’m in the minority). JKR shows Harry and Ginny’s, and Ron and Hermione’s different parenting styles brilliantly, and shows how relaxed the two couples are.
Ron has always told Harry what he thinks. He’s never been afraid to argue with Harry, or Hermione. That is an important part of their friendship.
Rose is her mother’s daughter, mostly.
I’ve just submitted chapter 15

My Brave Face by grangergirl35

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Hermione has lived thirty-six years on this earth. The last twenty or so of them have been blissful and perfect, married to her best friend and lover. They have two beautiful children at Hogwarts. Ron's an Auror, and Hermione works in the new office at the Ministry, for the Mandatory Respect of Elf Rights Department. Then, one afternoon in February, she's called to St. Mungo's, where everything is ruined, and she's forced to remember the easier past.

I totally love the way you've portrayed Ginny......the same firm,brave,faithful girl with whom Harry fell in love with, Ron's closest sibling, the one who always knew him better than he knew himself, and the cheery, common-sensical and understanding friend of Hermione........(-;

Author's Response: Aww thanks :) Ginny was by far the easiest to write - she has a very clear character, one that she had to have retained into adult/mother hood. -Joy

i think Lily is like the frivolous, coquettish, side of Ginny, lacking her straightforward English common sense obviously, and is a typical school gal.....I LOVE YOUR CHARECTERS!!!!!!

Author's Response: I never thought of her that way!! Haha awesome points to you for spotting that :D And I'm glad you say that, because I love them too :) -Joy

Author's Response: I actually most identify with Hermione, but some of my more . . . rebellious attributes could be found in Ginny as well. :) -Joy

This was soo typically Ron....I love your representation of him....!!!!

After all that panic....the last line was awesome....!!!!

I really can't find anything to costructively critisize.......except that THE FANFIC ROXX(AGAIN)!!!!

:D

Author's Response: Thanks. I think I must be closer to Ron than Harry, this was so much easier to write. The last line was (I hope) typical Ron - It won't work - it won't work - it woked, I always knew it would. -N-

The Bride's Ballad by ToBeOrNotToBeAGryffindor

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Three brides rise with the sun on their special day, all with different perspectives and feelings about their big day
Reviewer: annegirl_shruti Signed
Date: 05/25/12 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

This is wonderful poem that I had the luck to come across! Here are my guesses:

The 1st bride might be Astoria Greengrass because of the "thousand Galleon masterpiece".

The second bride sounds like she knows a lot of family, but I don't know who would wear a homemade gown.

The third one is Ginny maybe, because she couldn't be a bride unless the war had ended.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you liked it, and a bit surprised you found it, to be honest. It's definitely buried in my author page, so yay that you came across it and enjoyed.

The first bride I was going for was Narcissa, but Astoria is actually a great guess/alternative. Definitely a Malfoy bride. :) The second was Molly before she married Arthur, as Arthur was by no means a rich man. I have this image in my head of Molly and her mother making her wedding dress together and talking about what it means to be married and, eventually, a mother. The last one, I was aiming for Hermione, hence the comment about how blood status was not an issue. It never was between them, but it was becoming less of one with the world at large. However, Ginny is actually a great guess, one which was posed by several. :)

Thank you for reading and reviewing. I really appreciate it. ♥

hey i thought aatya and mama go together??
and by the way.....the story is so different (awesome)!!!!

Author's Response: Hey, I'm not too sure about the Aatya/mama... I get everything translated by one of my beta's who lives in India! I'll have to ask her and get back to you :) I'm glad you like that it's different! Thanks for the review!

I completely loved the story...Its so funny and sweet...!!! I am definately gonna check out the Ron/Hermione story.....

I like the part where Kreacher tells Harry that he can't Ginny unless she wants to be caught....!!!!! It's soo Ginny.....and also how Harry seems scared of Hermione getting to Ginny before him.... his desperation is typically boyish....!!!!

The fanfic Roxx...!!!!!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I'm rather fond of Kreacher. Harry's desperation is (I think) nothing to Ron's complete panic. -N-

I'm sorry.....but I can't imagine Harry thinking of Ginny as "my sweet"....... :P

Anyhow I love the naturalness of the epitaph...... :D

Author's Response: Don't apologise - we all have different views of the characters, which is what makes fanfiction so brilliantly diverse! I'm glad you enjoyed the epitaph, (barring those two words :P), and thank you for the review.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed reading this - although I must admit that I don't really understand what you mean by 'other' - all of the epitaphs that I have written have now been posted on this site, there are no more planned, but if you have ideas of characters that you'd like to see an epitaph for, please don't hesitate to send them to me in a message, or to write them in a review, and I'll take your ideas into account.

I just read the epitaph series yet again....and I was wondering were you making an allusion to George's joke about being 'holey'?

And I wish you would write an epitaph for A.P.W.B.D. by Aberforth Dumbledore.....?

Author's Response: Thank you for the review, and yes, it was a reference to George being 'Holey'. Thank you for the suggestion, it sounds like quite an interesting idea, I'll take into account!
