hey, i'm sara, and i just adore harry potter! all seven books in the series are exquisite, and the fanfiction is generally pretty awesome too! some other favorite books of mine include: lord of the rings, pride and prejudice, wheel of time series, any books by shannon hale, terry pratchett, gerald morris or l.a. meyer, and many others that i'm inconveniently forgetting...
so, now that you know a little bit more about moi, i'll end by saying this little tid-bit: i love to read, i love to write and i love reviews. the three "r's". so how about i write, and you guys read and review, yes? great! oh, but please don't get angry at the three-month long gaps in between updates...
How could you leave off at such a cliffhanger????? UPDATE SOON!
Author's Response: I\'m sending the chapter in today! Thank you. =)
wonderful (and LONG!) one shot! lily and remus were so well portrayed, and the entire thing was just great. good job!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I\'m glad you weren\'t put off by the length! ^^;
Nominated for a Quicksilver Quill for Best Romance-Non Canon 2007, 2008, and 2009. In 2010 mods changed the rules (they got tired of the same fics being nominated ^_~) so no more QQ hopes, but that's okay. No proof is needed that Draco/Ginny = love.
* Written before the HBP, this tale presents an alternate sixth year in which Dumbledore lives, Draco is more than a foil to Harry, and Blaise Zabini is a girl. I hope readers who ship Draco/Ginny will enjoy the story which includes dancing with faeries, Celtic and Norse mythology, school holidays in London and Spain, and loads of fantasy and romance. "Is this a kissing book?" (to quote the Princess Bride) Yes, it is. *
(Warnings were added for safety, due to brief allusions in later chapters, not graphic content.)
wow. this is AMAZING!!!!! it's so clever and funny and wonderful! it took me awhile to get used to blaise being a girl, but now i love it! and i love the way you portray luna, it seems perfect for her. i watched the movie 'much ado about nothing', and it was pretty good--you do a good job of incorporating it in here. great job! i can't wait for the next update!
Author's Response: Wow! It made my day to get a review from someone of such obvious brilliance and good taste! :D I\'m so glad you love Luna. I think she uses her eccentricities to her advantage. No dummies in Ravenclaw, LOL, although Cho is the example of someone having \'book sense\' but no \'common sense\'! Weren\'t Thompson and Brannaugh wonderful in Much Ado? I was so sad when they split. Such a great acting couple, at least! Hope to get another update out soon. Thanks again for making my day! ^_^
oh, wow, this story has gone by amazingly quickly, in spite of the enormous word count in each of the 52 chapters...perhaps this is partly due to my total disregard for finals week, cause i ended up staying up til like midnight reading this story, even when i still had studying to do! i pushed through this story in just a few days, and every moment was awesome! i really admire your ability to create a plot that's not uber-dramatic and fake, yet you still having a focused story that actually goes somewhere and has a plot. the romance was awesome, although i have to say that the snogging got to be a bit much for me; it ended up seeming sort of repetitive, cause it was pretty much the same every time. although i suppose i should have expected that, since it was, after all, "a kissing book". which leads me to my next point of praise, the numerous allusions to stories and movies and books from all over the place! the princess bride ones were especially fun to catch!
also, you were very good at threading in bits of the plot throughout the story line, hinting at things to come and things of the past. i loved the complexity of the characters and their backgrounds, you were very thorough.
another great thing you did was characterization. luna was pretty much perfect, with her whimsical, dreamy, intelligent idiosyncracies--a perfect oddball ravenclaw. draco was pretty wicked awesome as a charming slytherin--i have no idea how you made him such a little slithering snake and yet such a loveable character! it was amazing! ginny was pretty good too, with her fiery temper, and ron was pretty much spot on! so overall, great job with that--they all stayed true to their houses and were still awesome, non cliché characters.
finally, i just need to leave a special note for wesley and luna. they were my absolute favorite couple, i think because it took longer for romance to develop between them--terry and blaise were pretty much a couple as soon as they decided they wanted to be one, and ginny and draco were quick to get together too, but luna was struggling with harry and wesley and somehow that made their relationship more real for me. also, i just have a weakness for smart, funny pirates! if i could have my own wesley, i would take him over terry or draco anyday!
so anyway, thanks so much for writing this awesome story, and for putting up with my lenghty-yet-unintelligent review; i'm off to see if there are any sequels or follow-ups to this story, so in the meantime, happy writing!
Author's Response:
Some of the chapters were ginormous, weren't they...and to think when I edited the story the word count dropped over sixty thousand words!
How do I snog thee, let me count the ways? Short and sweet, long and passionate, and all the varieties in between...and then there's the places our couples snogged...behind statues, beneath willows, in a toilet stall, across beds in dorms and homes across England and hammocks in Spain, in the attics of Hogwarts, Room of Requirement pirate ships, medieval solars, tarzan's tree house, the Great Hall, a cupboard in St. Mungo's and a waterfall in Romania... I'm all nostalgic, now, LOL.
Thank you so much for a lengthy and awesome review sharing not just the parts and characterizations you enjoyed, but why you liked them, too!
I've made an Unbreakable Vow that before the summer is over (I count August as part of summer, heh) I will write the second reunion story A Tale of Two Matchmakers: Spanish Holiday. I'll think of you when I'm writing, since this time the couple that will be worrying the others into arranging a holiday to "help" will be Wesley and Luna! :D
Thank you for giving me a reason to be even happier when I write! *hugs*
great job!! i think it portrayed wonderfully the feeling sof ron and hermione, and the harry part at the end was a good entrance to a sequel...*wink, wink**nudge, nudge* lol, anyway, great writing, i can't wait to read some of your other stories! (hp, that is--i'm not much into buffy the vampire myself, but that could be because i've never seen a single episode...)
wow, great story! very interesting plotline, and good characters amd emotions and dialogue and everything. also, it's excellently written. good job, update soon!
Author's Response: Thank you very very much. I\'m so glad you like it that much! *glows* I appreciate your review.
wow, this is really good! very interesting, well-written, and the characters are quite believable, not all weird and ooc. great job, i can't wait to read the next chapter!
Author's Response: Good, I\'m happy you think so. It\'s hard to make a story sound realistic. I appreciate your review and that you took the time to write one!
wow! this is so well written! it's sort of poetic, you know? and it makes me feel so badly for remus! but you've done a really great job. i can't wait to read the final part!
Author's Response: Aww, thanks! Remus is fun to write because he\'s such a pitiful character. :) It\'s really nice of you to review both my stories, by the way!
ha! i loved the ending, i loved the whole thing! i'm pretty much a shipper for everybody, i guess (except slash...*shudder*) and this was very original. good job!
Author's Response: thanks- it's good to know someone besides H/Hr shippers like this story!
i loved it!!!!!!!! it was very funny the way james conjured up the bicycle, and the song was great! i loved the ending, too, and endings (for me) are always the hardest part!!!! 10/10
Author's Response: Oh, I know! I hate endings! But at least most of them are happy. The song's not mine, incase anyone was wondering. It's old, I found it in a piano book of my grandma's. The first line is originally, 'Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do...' Thanx for the review! :)
cute, fluffy, and well-written. great job! you should write some more stories. 100000000/10
wow, this is really funny! i love how ignorant and oblivious pugnatious is, and all the trouble he gets into is great! i can't wait to hear more about his entertaining adventures! i really like your writing style, too, although sometimes you seem to use a comma where a semicolon would be more appropriate, and other times it seems a comma is lacking in the sentence. otherwise, though, it was perfect, and very funny! great job, update soon please!
wow! this is great. not very many lily/james start in first year and stick with it for so long, but you manage to do it really well! i love the characters, they're very believable, and your writing style is great. i also like your penname! ;) anyway, excellent story, i can't wait to read the next chapter!
Author's Response: Lol, I must admit it was a bit difficult...nothing much HAPPENS in their first year. I\'m happy you don\'t think the characters are Mary Sues, that\'s a relief.~rog :)
great chapter! there was a long gap between this one and the last, so this long chappie was fun! very well-written and a good plot, too. super job!
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m glad you liked the long chapter. I was going to end it halfway through, but then I decided that their first year has been dragging on WAY too long. Lol. I intended their first few years to be three or four chapters each.~roggy :D
haha! this was great! a bit of a short chapter, but interesting and funny. the ending makes me want to read the next chapter really badly, it's a bit of a cliffie! by the way, i like your ending author's note ^_^ update soon!
Author's Response: Lol! It wasn\'t that short, but I guess compared to the two chapter before it . . .yeah, I finally figured out how to do cliffies ;)~rog :D
pretty good start, i agree that you need to develop the characters more, we all know how james and lily feel about each other, but it'd be nice to know some of their thoughts, and what the friends think, look like, etc. otherwise, good job! keep it up.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I submitted the next chapter, and the plot starts moving a bit more in this one.
wow. wow, wow, wow. this was great! very fluffy and sweet and funny. you portrayed luna perfectly, and harry was great too. good job, i really enjoyed it.
Severus Snape has ambitions to rise above his humble beginnings. Eris Greyback has a family debt to repay. Their romance is a more complicated brew than the trickiest of potions. SSEG, LEJP. The sequel, The Potions Master's Apprentice, is also complete.

ooh, very good chapter! i love how you're updating so quickly too. great plot, great characters, great everything!
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'ll do my best to have the last chap (24) up before Christmas! ^_^
