I am an adult Harry Potter addict, which is one of the safer addictions to date (chocolate and fanfiction are also safe addictions). Hmm, what else? I love to read and write in my spare time, although lately I have become attached to sleeping and knitting also. My life is chaotic but routine which causes my updates to be less frequent than what I would like, so I apologize for that.

I know the neighbors can be rather distracting and I do keep reminding the help to put fresh flowers in the window but they do often forget. What can you do? The problems finding good help these days is ridiculous I say!
Laura has been a good friend to Percy for seven years. She took his side during a fight between Percy and Oliver their second year. this is my new favorite story! I read the whole thing in one sitting last night, and was sleeping through class all day today, but it was totally worth it. You have some great conflicts between characters and i love the plot. I'm really anxious to see what happens at the New Year's party and how awkward it will or won't be. I'm a totally girly girl and I want to see Laura and Oliver dance, kiss, and live happily ever after (I know, i'm a total sucker for happy endings like that)! update soon so I can have a really good excuse to ignore my homework and do something much more interesting!

The second part is technically the last chapter in the story, although there will be an epilogue. Hope you enjoy the rest of the story!
well, I guess better late than never can fit here. I'm glad to see Laura and Oliver finally REALLY talk about...stuff. I hope they both are finally smart enough to realize they want more than friendship from each other, and they are perfectly capable of managing their careers and a relationship at the same time.
I'm really interested to know what Oliver said to his dad in his intoxicated rant about Laura. As if Mr. Wood needs more ammunition to fire at her...please update soon!
Author's Response: Yes, Laura and Oliver aren\'t exactly rushing into anything, are they? ;-) I\'m not trying to drag it out--just trying to stay true to their characters. You know what? I\'m really interested to find out what Oliver said to his dad, too. Mr. Wood\'s parts in these chapters are never planned. He just shows up. Seriously. oh wow, what a way to end this beautiful story. i'm glad Laura and Mr. Wood finally spoke and I love the twist of Wood's dad dating Percy's mom as an explanation for Mr. Wood's actions! i'm really sad to see this story end...it's so well written and original. anytime i read Oliver Woods name in any other fic, my mind immediately jumps to this story. thanks for such a great story!

this is a really great story. your writing style is fabulous and i like how you flip back and forth between the past and the present...it's really quite smooth. i especially loved this line, "I won't say that everything ended up for the best, but we all got the best from the way everything ended up." i think that is something that is very in character for Arthur to say. again, great story!
Really great story! I really like how you're slowly (yet surely) showing Tom become more and more evil; very creative. Side note: love the Grindelwald/Hitler comparison.

Besides the fact my eyes are burning from staring at my computer screen and my butt is numb from sitting still for so long, I must say this has been a great experience. I TRULY loved this story...WOW! You are a very gifter writer, you capture all moments well; romance, drama, adventure...all areas are covered. I'm assuming there will be a sequel? Oh please say yes, I can't bare to wonder what happens next. Once again, a superb job with this fic!

oh my my my...I knew Talitha had to die, it just seemed to be the only possibility, but it was still sad. I thought for a moment that Harry would die too and the two of them would be together that way...
I do like how you added in that little bit after Harry tells Draco who really killed Talitha, it brings it together well. Very good story!

this is an awesome chapter! I really admire Talitha's bravery and ability to stand by what she believes in, it's sad she's in such a horrible situation, but I really like how she realizes the difference between what is right and what is easy. great, great story!

great chapter, definitely worth waiting for! I really liked the conversation between Harry and Lupin/Moony, how Harry turned the advice given back on the giver...I found it funny. Not nearly as funny as I thought Hermione telling off the twins was...GREAT! As much as I love Fred & George, every once and a while I think it's a good thing for them to be put in their place and you did it beautifully. Update soon!

This is a really great story. I really like when Sirius and James meet in Madam Malkins, too cute! I also sort of see a lot of Harry's life at the Dursley's in Sirius' home life...I hope that's not way off or anything, I just think it's funny how they both were treated so horribly yet turned out so much better than the favored child. i was aimlessly strolling through stories today and came across this one...
you are a very talented writer. i love how well you describe everything from emotions to surroundings. i could picture so much in my own mind and felt Fleur's pain...truly brilliant.
i also found it neat that you could write both characters in a way the reader would know who they were without using their actual names. very well done! 10/10!
