hi there!
If anyone takes the time to read this lil slot, thank you! My name's Niamh and I'm 17. I haven't really tried my hand at writing a fan fic before so Switching the Witch is my first real stab at it! I love the feeling of getting completely lost when i write, it just makes me forget about the world and reminds me a bit of getting lost in a drawing or a book.

I think i might start writing another different fic soon. I can feel an idea growing in my head and once i get pen to paper (or hands to keyboard of course!) i might come up with a story! Thanks for reading everyone! (ot of course... one in case the reading of this isnt plural!)

Niamh

PS.I finally got my first fic validated on mugglenet thanks to my new beta reader invisiblenudnik (got it validated eventually!) Please Read & Review and tell me what you think! :D

finally! im able 2 review! ive been reading this fanfic for quite a while now and i have to congratulate you on your style of writing and your stories and imaginative ideas, i am deeply impressed and absolutely love your fanfics. I find them extremely well written and i love reading them. The only thing i'd say that was slightly different (though by no means a fault) was how lupin seems more agressive, and how other characters seem more aggressive than JK makes them out, but if this is what u planned then ignore me! its not a critism just an observation. i give your fanic a 10 and i hope 2 review on new and upcoming chapters :)

Author's Response: Thank you for all thee praise. I\'d have to say the aggression is subconscious. Good writers, like Jk can keept their personal emotions out of their stories. I am somewhat of an aggressive person, so that is why everyone is more aggressive.

"Mum, Dad, It's Me... Harry." by Mudblood428

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Harry, Ron, and Hermione make a trip to Godric's Hollow to visit the Potters' graves. There, Harry speaks to his parents for the first time, and in so doing, discovers that the dead are never truly lost. (One-shot. Bring your kleenex.)

Sliding Drawers by Loup_garou

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: It is argued that the most minuscule of occurrences can shape the course of history irrevocably. Butterflies flapping their wings overzealously, missing a train/forcing open the sliding doors of a train and catching it/getting your finger stuck in the sliding doors of a train as you attempt to force them open and having to run alongside it for the duration of the journey as an alternative to having it ripped off…and other such minutiae. Thus it was that, on a cold, wet night seventeen years ago, in a room above the bar at the Hog’s Head Inn, that Severus Snape made his (skid)mark. The History of the Potterverse is now at stake, and it remains for Lily Potter (with a little help from Lupin) to sort it all out. BE YE WARNED - this story contains pants. Underpants. (This story is intended as a bit of light-hearted fun and should be read as such, even if it is rather OOC!) Final chapter is up! Gather round, my children, and witness the astonishing finale!

Twitters in the Night by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Her spine curled against the base of the tree, she watched the bird perched on a branch above her head carefully. Its bright yellow feathers seemed to glow slightly in the dark, its small beak opening and closing in endless chatter.

“Silencio,” she whispered, aiming her wand at the little creature. The bird’s twitters quieted, its beak parting in silence now. She needed the thing muted for the next step, the more important one, otherwise neighbors may come intrude. And that was the last thing she wanted.

“Crucio.”

ahaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! YOU ARE A GENIUS! me and my sister just sang the whole thing and laughed our bums off, how the heck did you write that?? faving that right NOW

gee willickers that was a good perk up!

amazing

loved it, cant give you any higher praise than genius level!

Author's Response: Oh my gosh, this is a real ego inflater. Thanks so much! As for how I write these, they come pretty naturally... I just think of words that rhyme/sound like the basic title or theme of the song, and the rest just comes with it. You should try it; it\'s not hard.
