A Question of Heroics by Brekkable

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: It is the Golden Trio's sixth year, and the newest DADA professor has arrived at Hogwart, bringing with her all the right answers AND all the right questions. Pairings are not determined as of yet. This story is AU as of the publishing of HBP.

Oooh! An alternate book 6 fanfic now? What a treat!

Author's Response: Yes, an alternate book 6. I refuse to believe that Dumbledore died, the old coot. Furthermore, I don\'t believe Severus is so foolish as to have made that silly oath! I\'m not certain that the horcruxes will even show up in this AU...

Evil Ignorance by harrypotterfangirl21

Rated: Professors •
Summary:

Thirteen years after the Final Battle, all is well for Harry Potter.

But not for long. . . .

KATIE!

*tacklehug*

It finally got validated. Woo!

You know that I love this fic. This is a far deviation form your usually style and I really enjoyed it. The dialogue was lovely and charming and the prose striking. I can't wait for more!

Author's Response: STUBBY! *tacklehug* Thanks for all of the compliments! I\'ll be done with the second chapter soon-ish.

Golden Couple by The Salt Lake Queen

Rated: Professors •
Summary: I should have realised what our lives would become. I knew he was broken, even then. I guess I was arrogant enough to think I could fix him.

Ginny knows he doesn't mean it. She knows that deep down, he still loves her. And she'll cling to that knowledge until the end.

*hugs the poor, broken Harry and poor, sad Ginny*

You did a lovely job with an idea that is very near and dear to my heart, mate. Thank you.

Author's Response: Hey, thanks for the review. I\'m glad you enjoyed it...I had hoped I would manage to pull off such a serious theme and not make it inappropriately light or gratuitously angsty. It\'s a tough matter to write about, so I\'m really happy that you think I did well. :)

Eclipse by BertieBotsBeans741

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: This is a poem of how Narcissa feels when she learns of the task Draco must complete in HBP.
Reviewer: Stubbornly_appeared Signed
Date: 04/13/08 Title: Chapter 1: Eclipse

Brittany, I really liked this poem. I really liked it a lot.

The things that made me like it a lot were probably the loud emotions, the deep meanings, and the repition. Even though it is a free verse poem, it seems almost structured because of the strong movement of the poetry.

You can really grasp Narcissa's torment. She want to scream and cry and fight because of the unfair task her son has been given- a task that frightens her- but she can't. She simply can't.

My only complaint might seem slightly contradictory, but I've got to say it. It seemed, with all of it's feeling, almost melodramatic. While there's nothing wrong with a good melodrama now and then, too much of a good thing can get wearing.

:D Great poem!

-Stubby

Author's Response: *shock* I didn\'t even see this until now. I am so happy that you found so many positive things about it, everyone seems to love this poem. I won\'t question it, because that pleases me =p I like having happy readers. I\'m so glad you understand what I was trying to do with this poem! Such a lovely review. =D

Of Blood, Gore, and Alibis by lullaby BANG

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: It’s coming, believe it or not. The Ministry doesn’t believe it, but who will then? It’s infuriating to know you’re invisible to society, but then there’s something exhilarating, entrancing about it. It’s dancing the devilish dance: provocative, teasing- leaving the viewers wanting more, or better yet, it’s like having an addiction.

An addiction with a purpose to be more precise… oh, and the occasional bite. Who are we then? We’re the out casted of the outcasts within a secluded society that further alienates us and leaves us utterly alone, but we’ve finally found each other so we’re not as alone. Things can change in an instance, though, and they already have. I have to confess: I’m scared, but I’ve already started to dance so I must keep dancing.

And besides, I don’t want the vampire or werewolf communities seizing control of the Ministry because I’ve already seen what they’ve done.

I think I know where the uprising in vampire/werewolf fics is coming from- not that I object. I like this Dante dude.

Author's Response: It\'s definitely not coming from Twilight if that\'s what you mean; rather it\'s coming from my own imagination and Anne Rice and Bram Stoker and the movie Van Helsing. And thank you on your compliment on Dante.

Facing Death by bertiebott12, Hansolohpfrk

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: The curtains call, beckoning a man to his death.
Reviewer: Stubbornly_appeared Signed
Date: 05/01/08 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Ooh, another one of my favourite 'Harry is going to die' fics!

I liked the interesting take on the famous (or infamous) Veil of the DoM. You get to see it from an insider's point of view as he walks to his death.

My particular favourite stanzas were the second and the second to last. You give excellent, moving descriptions there.

For critique, I'd only say that you were a tad melodramatic, perhaps. There is good emotion, but dare I say too much? I don't know. Something didn't click with me.

Good poem, though. I can't wait to see more poetry from you!

Changed by Aevylonya

Many believe him to be dead, and the Order fears that he has been taken captive. Meanwhile, this new uprising of dark magic poses a greater threat to the wizarding world than the Order could ever imagine...

Wow... again, an awesome chapter. I'm really liking this fic. Harry's mad behaviour seems to be not only his own feelings, but maybe something of Voldemort? I dunno. Looking forward to more!

Author's Response: Thanks! I\'m glad you\'re liking it. Yes, Harry\'s behaviour is a bit strange... Whether it is his own, though, or it is Voldemort\'s doing, you will, naturally, find out later. I love it, though, when people offer their own conclusions and views - it\'s great! Thanks for reviewing!

As the headmistress attempts to lay a clever trap to reveal hidden agendas, Voldemort waits in ambush at the one site that Harry is sure to visit.

Haha... I'm loving the fun cheesyness of a Halloween costume ball. Keep up the entertaining writing!

Yet another marvellous fic from Wings of the Morning. I love your portrayal of Regulus, and also the intriguing themes woven through this fic.

Just reviewing to show some love for this under-appreciated fic. I enjoy your potrayals of all of the characters here immensely and the whole thing's a really creative idea. Plus, it doesn't hurt that your writing is great. Keep on with it, please!

I'm always excited to find a new alternate book fic, and having one from Hermione's PoV is especially interesting. Of course, it's a bonus that it's well written. Keep on with it!

Author's Response: Haha, thanks very much - and I shall. I hope you continue to enjoy it! x

The Missing Chapter by suswoman

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: I always felt there was a chapter missing from Deathly Hallows between the final chapter and the Epilogue. I needed a chance to wind down from all of the action, mourn the dead, and tie up some loose ends before being thrown 19 years into the future. This is my version of that missing chapter. Hope you enjoy it!

Heartbeats by MerrryD

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:

They are insane.

They are both in St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. I believe Neville visits them, with his grandmother, during the holidays.

They do not recognise him.

Frank and Alice Longbottom suffered a terrible fate. It is not one to wish on even your worst enemy. Maybe their fate was written in the stars, and maybe it wasn’t. But, before it happened, pre-set or not, they had a life. They shared a story together. You know how it ends. Do you know how it goes?

Poor devils. Better dead than what happened to them.

Wow, I don't think I've ever read an Alice and Frank fic, which is sad, because they deserve so much respect. You've done a really fantastic job setting everything up here. I can't wait for more!

Author's Response: I agree, 'tis sad that there isn't more out there as a tribute to the two of them. -thinks- I've only a read a few fics that mention them as Lily's friends usually, but definitely none that star them. Anyways, thanks a lot! I'm glad you like it. :p -hugs- xo Mere

The Torment Bred in the Race by paperrose

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: It's been twelve years since the Wizarding world saw Harry Potter after he mysteriously disappeared into the Forbidden Forest during the Final Battle in 1998. Now Lord Voldemort has conquered, extending his reach not just over Britain, but France, Germany, and Spain as well.

Meanwhile, hidden deep within the Canadian Rocky Mountains in British Columbia, a terrifying secret is brewing at the magic school that McGonagall herself founded just after the second battle for Hogwarts. It is at this school where Muggle-born Leah Andrews and her best friends, Gwen and Cory, will find themselves thrown into the search for the truth: What is a dead snake doing hung from a tree like a sacrificial lamb? Who really is the new DADA professor with the strange colour-changing eyes and bad mood swings? And just what does a gentle half-giant gamekeeper have to do with any of this?

One thing is for certain - all is definitely not well.

This is the sequel to Alternate Ending. I strongly recommend you read that one first, although I don't think it's necessary.

Excerpt from the Epilogue:

As he sidestepped them, he glanced down again at the wrinkled slip of parchment Charlie had handed him two days earlier with nothing more than a quiet word that there may still be one last loose end to tie.
